broken and shattered

A word, a whisper ,questions- inquiring
Answers to unknown feelings required.
Truth, honesty always so rare:
Passions open: the next step do you dare?

Accepting ,expecting- emotions protecting
Touching, caressing , wishes directing-
The hurt that waits behind each door.
Be careful , be cautious with desiring more.

The tension building and hopes increasing
As your heart opens, he walks in..
All is given , signed, sealed, delivered
Only to be returned :broken and withered.

Head bent, heart in pieces..
Hope, love, desire: all ceases..
Pieces of a life blown and  scattered
Remnants torn, her soul forever battered.

Very chilling. I enjoyed the flow and the rhymes were smooth. Loved the buildup and how it left the reader scattered in the wind.

Thanks for sharing.

Love this.
Beautifully written, the rhythm was perfection.

This was hauntingly beautiful Aeval. I wish I could write poetry, just never could get it down.
