Haiku Thread

The concept's simple:
Discuss whatever you like
but in haiku form.

First five syllables,
then seven more syllables,
finally five more.

Purists will argue
that mentioning a season
is also needed.

Personally I
don't see the big deal; but if
you want to, do it.

Your hand blessed a child
Tender lips caressed a cheek
Kindness saved her world

He began to
Weep as she slipped into the
Darkness alone

Those who wish to be
Clever don't appreciate
Having been found out

Haiku are seasons
Yet when we talk of people
They become seiku

Treading so lightly,
As an angel on the snow,
The winter fox crept.

Yellow tree pollen
Makes a white car turn golden
Springtime makes me sneeze.

Shapely dragoness,
Scaly, seductive reptile,
My will yields to you.

Snow drifting downward,
No sounds to be heard right now,
A bleak winter night.

Winter's icy grip,
Arctic winds; fresh, driven snow,
Chills one to the bone.

Unconnected from the network
The only ringtone silence.

A foot of snow had settled
Temp next day? Forty.
