(BDSM D/s M/m M/f age play S&M )

High Magic Fantasy setting.

The shop was a chaos of  movement as the blond haired man rushed about readying things, packs, tiny gadgets attached and carefully packed away. Relic was to go out with the King's fourth steam powered battalion and he was nervous as all get out. Up until now he had been the best artificer in the land, left to his work in the city center alone and quiet.  He was kept safe from the war because an asset such as himself should never be exposed outside the city walls. Desperate times though call for desperate measures.  Chief engineer Marcus Dragonough was assassinated in his sleep and since that time the war had been going very bad for the Kingdom of Naught . Even as he is being ushered out onto the tram car the walls of the great city Naught was being battered by the enemy Canith war machines.  Naught is shaken from border to border as the great boiler at the castle exploded sending shrapnel everywhere. Thousands are killed in the blast and Relic lays playing dead as he watches his shop raided by the enemy troops.

It has been 10 years since Relic escaped the city and struck out on his own. Since that time he had built himself a home in the mountains to the north and about 1 mile up from a small village by the name of Sharn. They had given him shelter after the fall of the kingdom of Naught, he at one time sought to leave the mountains after teaching the town blacksmith a few things but the city magistrate wished him to stay so to keep him there a young woman or man was sent up and given to him as property more than a lover at the beginning of each year. At the end of each year of his stay they could choose to stay under the Artificers care or leave. This was enough to keep him here and of the slaves that he had taken all of them who have come back down form the mountain tell of him being a loving and kind man giving them things that they could not have dreamed of normally. He dose have a sadistic streak but the towns people learned to groom newborns for a time when they would be sent up to the man only known as Artificer.

This town had long been neutral and since Relic had  come have not fallen to the Canith forces even though they lay 5 miles within the borders of the Empire of Canith. Wave after wave of enemy forces fought back by huge lumbering beasts of metal are said to come from the mountains when ever Canith forces come to claim this little village only to disappear with all of their gear when they have been defeated.

It should be known that his first servant, Avrial still lives with him of her own acord as an artificers apprentice and companion to Relic...
