That night was supposed to be the first of many in their new life together.  They planned every detail leading up to the exact moment all responsibilities were to be abandoned and every bridge burned.  All connections binding them to familial obligations gone.  They didn't need any of it when they had each other.

No more bloody deals of their fathers.  No more greedy schemes and manipulation.

They would finally be free to live and love as they wished.  It just happened that someone else had another idea.

A perfectly-timed collision happened on her way to the meeting spot and instead of heading toward the open highway with her love, she was rushed in the opposite direction in an ambulance.  While he waited impatiently for her to never arrive, she was slipping into a coma that she wouldn't wake from until weeks later.  After coming to, she doesn't recognize any of the concerned faces that come and go throughout the day - not even the woman who had given her those eyes and nose, if only more weathered than her own from a lifetime of corruption.

After determining she was healthy enough to be released, she was handed over to the care of her parents where they could keep watch over her until she fully recovered her memory.  They kept a guard on her thinking it would be enough to keep her safe and within their control.  If only they understood how determined her lover was to get her back, no matter the cost.

From there, the pair struggle to overcome while embarking on a mission to discover the truth of what really happened that night, piecing details together as memories come back to her, snippets at a time.  And then revenge for all that was lost, and what could be lost still.


I'm open to playing either role, any gendered pairing, with the right partner.  I am more interested in exploring family dynamics as well as the turmoil between the main characters, with plenty of fight scenes and violence scattered throughout.  This should be a slower burn as they navigate the difficulties of only one remembering all the details of their relationship, and the mental and emotional anguish suffered by both sides because of it.  That said, I'm not looking for a damsel in distress type of scenario.  Both characters will be well into their twenties and old enough to have seen the ugly side of humanity and should be able to handle themselves within reason.
