Drowned but Resuscitated (M/M & M/F story ideas)

Yo. I took a little break from the site for a few months but I’m back and looking for a new RP (or maybe two depending on posting expectations). For those that don’t know me, I place a high value on realistic characters in both actions and appearance for the plotty story options but otherwise am pretty open for who I’m playing against. Feel free to check out my O/Os (abridged version at the bottom of the post) or stalk my previous posts to get a feel for what I like/see if you think I’d be a good partner for you.

I’ve got a few ideas that I’ll list below but if you like the general vibe but not the prompts or alternatively have some different ideas for one of the prompts please feel free to hit me up in Pms. I'm pretty chill and most of this stuff is pretty flexible. If we both have time and vibe, we can work something out.

Dirty Rush: (M/M, Slice of life)

The parties are fucking legendary, booze is cheap and so are the girls. That’s really all anyone needs to know about Greek life down south. It makes for a chaotic rush week that usually spills over into that second week. All the freshmen are there, even the ones that know they aren’t getting a bid just show up to take part in the festivities. It’s a breeding ground for people kissing ass and trying to make those all too important good impressions. It’s not exactly uncommon to see freshmen trying to peacock to get the attention of the upperclassmen and show that they’d be a good addition.

One in particular seems intent on proving he’s the man even when compared to you. How they end up back in your room is up to you really but they do and he goes for it. Several points you can almost taste his girlfriend on him. Waking up the next day, there are clear regrets on his face but he’s not going to fess up to anyone what happened. And that works for you.

This idea is basically a dive into a toxic relationship that is held together through some blackmail and bribery. It’s not meant to be devoid of connection which will be present but the overall feel of the relationship is meant to be one of manipulation and be rather sexually charged. The current idea is to have someone play a character that is publicly out and important to the frat culture and I will play the cocky pledge with something of a questionable sexuality. The idea is to have my character have the illusion of dominance (because he gets to play top) despite the clear manipulation and blackmail. I’m open to other variants on this idea as well if some other dynamic works better for you or if you have a better idea.

Get me the Fuck out of Maine: (M/M, (or M/F), (Potential for M/F/M or even M/M/M) horror, Mystery)

It takes place in Portland Maine in the summer when there are enough people in the state for it to feel like there are things to do. When tourists are there one day and gone the next, it's easy to write it off as people breezing through on their way to Acadia or maybe just coming in to visit their grandma that retired nearby but it becomes unsettling when people are there one minute and gone the next. What's worse is most people don’t seem to notice or care. And what’s up with that dude that keeps smirking at you from across the way?

The real kicker, the more you notice it the crazier it gets, like dreams during the day. The hot guy from your science that never gave you the time of day before suddenly wants you, or maybe some B rated horror villain chases you through the funhouse of a carnival. There really is no limit to what could happen and sometimes the dreams blend together. But there is no waking up from these dreams, not without finding the exit even if some of those dreams you don’t want to wake up from. Lingering too long though is dangerous, because at some point you start to forget that you have to leave which is exactly what they want…


Basically strange occurrences start to happen around the central character. The central character finds themselves pulled into various ‘dreams’ ; some can be good and some can be outright terrifying with no hopes of waking up until they find their way out. The point being to figure out why they are happening and stopping them if you can. And if not, figuring out what’s next. Definitely picturing room to explore the fears the nightmares bring but also the effects of the more positive dreams as well. It’s not so easy to get what you want or build a connection with someone only to have it taken away in the next moment. This will have a high focus on character development and exploration. And of course solving the mystery.

Bloody streets: (M/M, (or M/F), Supernatural, horror)

It happened one day, you thought you were dead. How you ended up almost kicking the bucket is really up to you, some of us almost went down in a blaze of glory while others just slipped in the bathtub. Either way you clearly aren’t dead but behind you is a phantom visage of yourself that looks very much dead how you were supposed to. No one else seems to see it though, no matter how sure you are there aside from the monstrous hound-like creatures that chase you.

You might be thinking they aren’t real but their teeth and breath sure as hell feels real, it really only took one run with them for you to realize, running from them was the only option that didn’t hurt. It’s on one of those runs where strangers stare at your seemingly random terror that the punk kid who had taken to shouting homophobic words (or sexist) to you on your way to work or maybe the local college calls out to you this time to tell you not to let the dog’s catch you, his own lifeless body floating just several feet behind him.

The central idea is that your character dies but ends up with a second chance at life with a reminder of your previous life floating lifelessly behind you at all times. If that trauma weren’t enough for some fear influenced break downs there are creatures seeking to correct the second chance given to you.

You aren’t the only one though, a previous tormentor seems to see exactly what you do and more than that he is more aware and able to access some of the (minor) powers associated with your newly found state. This pushes you together, though if you’re hoping for him to start playing nice I’d think again. Even fooling around or saving your life he still seems intent on taunting you.
