EDIT

Also open to your Kenshi related plots too! From my playing a newly acquired slave to an improbable plot to assassinate Emperor Tegu.

It’s taken me a long time to warm to the pace and vastness of Kenshi, but like all sandboxes, it makes fertile ground for the best storytelling. For those of you unfamiliar: It’s a brutal post apocalyptic world with western/samurai themes.

What I am looking for is a type : A man who might have been good once, worn low by an unforgiving world.

Possibilities include:

A Greenlander who once had it all until missing one single prayer day sparked a series of events that claimed family, fortune and freedom.

A Scorchlander who’s lingered on the edges of the Holy Nation his entire life

A hiver prince ran toward freedom and found only most undignified poverty

A once proud hive soldier sold into slavery, body broken for disobedience

Heck even a drone who dreams of making beautiful things but spends his days smashing rocks in open, sweltering quarries.

Hah! Or an error ridden skeleton who can’t recall a thing about his past life and now knows only persecution

I intend a woman who - though bitter and skeptic - hasn’t given up. It might be nothing but delusional aspirations of revenge that drive her, but the bloody dreams keep her in motion.

She’s petite. Unimpressive. Fair for a scorchlander and dark for a Greenlander. Inconspicuousness is her tradecraft, for those who take notice of her have a tendency to guard their cat strings.

Our story begins on a windless night in Northern United Cities Territories. Sun scalded, miserable, caged; at first he thinks the starvation has finally eaten away at his senses when he sees her creeping through the dark. Her intentions are soon made apparent when makes quick work of the provisions crate lock.

Can his parched lips find the words that would buy his freedom?

I am open to a tale short or long. Fast or as slow as inspiration allows.
