WIP:

ELITE TEAM is a D&D 5e game that is seeking six players that can do the following:

-- 1.  Post 1/day every day, except Saturdays and Sundays; and,
-- 2.  Push forward.

Characters are made using the following rules:

-- 1.  Abilities are 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13;
-- 2.  There is no cap on ability score;
-- 3.  Characters take on 2x classes at once (gestalt);
-- 4.  Characters take on skills from both classes;
-- 5.  Characters start with an additional 200gp;
-- 6.  Characters start at 1st level;
-- 7.  Characters take on the proficiencies of both classes, not one;
-- 8.  Characters take on the equipment of both classes, and may opt to roll for wealth instead;

Regarding rules:
-- 1.  Unless surprised, the party will always go first in initiative;
-- 2.  Prices for magical items is generally universal and depends on its rarity;
0000:  Common:  75gp;
0000:  Uncommon:  300gp;
0000:  Rare:  2,500gp;
0000:  Very Rare:  25,000gp;
0000:  Legendary:  50,000gp;
-- 3.  I strongly dislike godmoding--do NOT control other PCs;

Regarding story:
-- 1.  Ideally, the group will barge through every module that ever moduled;
-- 2.  There will be very little in the way of smut;
-- 3.  The point of this game is to play D&D and to make me familiar with the rules/modules;
-- 4.  There will be very little in the way of prompt;
-- 5.  The GM will have an NPC.

Regarding characters:
-- 1.  Characters must be good-aligned;
-- 2.  Characters must be team players;
-- 3.  Characters must be fair to one another;
-- 4.  Characters must be loyal to one another;

Regarding sheets:
-- 1.  Character sheets should be either here or myth-weavers; NOT GOOGLE DOCS!!!

(Still WIP, probably will add more to it later)

For stuff like Proficiencies and Hit Dice, are we doing with whichever is the better class of the two?

A FORCE FOR GOOD | CECIL FROSTMANTLE
Human Gestalt (Fighter | Paladin) | Background: Knight | Lawful Good

HP:  13 (1d10+3)
AC:  17 (splint mail, 19 w/ shield); 11 (unarmored)
Speed: 30 ft.

STR 16 (+3) | DEX 13 (+1) | CON 16 (+3) | INT 14 (+2) | WIS 18 (+4) | CHA 18 (+4)

Skills Animal Handling +6, Athletics +5, History +4, Insight +6, Perception +6, Religion +4, Survival +6
Tools  Cards, Vehicle (Land)
Senses  Passive perception 16
Languages  Common, Elven, Orc

DIVINE SENSE (1 + CHA)
As an action, until the end of your next turn, you know the location of any celestial, fiend, or undead within 60 feet of you that is not behind total cover. You know the type (celestial, fiend, or undead) of any being whose presence you sense, but not its identity. Within the same radius, you also detect the presence of any place or object that has been consecrated or desecrated, as with the Hallow spell.  When you finish a Long Rest, you regain all expended uses.

GREAT WEAPON FIGHTING
When you roll a 1 or 2 on a damage die for an attack you make with a melee weapon that you are wielding with two hands, you can reroll the die and must use the new roll, even if the new roll is a 1 or a 2. The weapon must have the two-handed or versatile property for you to gain this benefit.

LAY ON HANDS (HP Pool: 5 x LVL)
As an action, you can touch a creature and restore HP to that creature, up to your max pool.  Alternatively, you can expend 5 HP to cure the target of one disease or neutralize one poison affecting it. This feature has no Effect on Undead and Constructs.

POLEARM MASTER
You gain the following benefits:
--  When you take the Attack action and attack with only a glaive, halberd, quarterstaff, or spear, you can use a bonus action to make a melee attack with the opposite end of the weapon. This attack uses the same ability modifier as the primary attack. The weapon's damage die for this attack is a d4, and it deals bludgeoning damage.
--  While you are wielding a glaive, halberd, pike, quarterstaff, or spear, other creatures provoke an opportunity attack from you when they enter the reach you have with that weapon.

SECOND WIND
You have a limited well of stamina that you can draw on to protect yourself from harm. On your turn, you can use a bonus action to regain hit points equal to 1d10 + your fighter level.  Once you use this feature, you must finish a short or long rest before you can use it again.

Glaive.  Melee weapon attack:  +5 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target.  Hit:  1d10+3 slashing damage, reroll 1 and 2.  Bonus melee attack: +5 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target.  Hit: 1d4+3 bludgeoning damage.

Longsword.  Melee weapon attack:  +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.  Hit:  1d8+3 slashing damage, or 1d10+3 slashing damage if 2H.

Flail.  Melee weapon attack.  +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.  Hit : 1d8+3 bludgeoning damage.

Longbow.  Ranged weapon attack.  +3 to hit, range 150/600, one target.  Hit : 1d8+1 piercing damage.  20 arrows in quiver.

So just to clarify this means basically the game will work like 'here's your mission, go' ?

No, it's not like that for everyone and everything.  It's going to be interactional, and said missions will be related to your ideals, bonds, and background.  I can't stop running games the way I run games.  However, I will be trying new things in this particular game so people constantly have an idea of what to do next.

Considered practically chaotic and whimsical for a vedalken, the youngest daughter of the prominent Rillvaz family is out to learn all she can and hopefully leave the world a better place than she found it! Roya has promised her parents she will return to the family business and her jewelsmithing responsibilities after just a few adventures and world-saving exploits. She is happy to tell everyone of her important family, but also wants to step out of their shadow and make her own name. Her older siblings are mostly responsible and hard working types, all of whom belong to a different artisan's guild, and they look upon adventuring the way most folks would look upon drug addiction. It's just a phase, they tell their parents soothingly, just a phase.

By the standards of most other races, she is a very cautious planner who likes to maneuver situations to her advantage before she engages. She dislikes surprises and most other things she isn't in control of. Her desire to help others goes beyond simply slaying monsters and rescuing princes, she also likes to design crop-sharing systems, road improvements, aqueducts, and other quality of life benefits for places she visits when she isn't occupied with dragons and damsels.

LOL.

YOU could have just asked, RP.  :)

All right, your PC is accepted.  She looks neat-o.

One slot has been taken, everyone.

Five remain.

Though Andy is entitled to one, if he wants it, and Aribeth can have one, too, because I really like Aribeth.

One final question (though I am working on putting down which two character types I want).  Do the statlines get adjusted as per racial bonuses or no?

Yeah, so the stats I gave you are your base stats (18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13).

And then you apply any modifiers from your race or your feats (or both).

So, a regular human would have stats like 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14.

I have a ways to go before I'm really good and done, but this is Rast, a Barbarian/Rogue I'm working on.

I may go with something completely different, because I'm having a hard time getting the spark churning, but here's what I've got for the basics.
