Costume Confusion for Halloween - One Shot - Anything from Meet-Cute to Taboo

Hi All,

With Halloween coming up, I'm craving the old costume confusion scenario.

You know the one. Our characters show up at a costume party and because of masks and possibly some confusion, we end up hooking up with the wrong person, thinking it's hot to stay in costume.

Could be one of us never makes it to the party. Could be one of us had to switch costumes at the last minute, but the other never got the message, etc.

I'm looking to brainstorm around this and make it not too cliche, but also not overly complicated.

Who could we be?

Good friends.
Enemies who have always hated each other.
Coworkers (married or otherwise)
Cousins.
Even closer relations.

I'm looking for this to be a fairly quick one-off and we can carry it further if wanted, start another RP, or just say, 'gosh that was fun'.

I'd play the male, looking to play against a female playing a female.
