Of the two, I prefer the first one.  Does Tilania have an image?

Can't find any references I love, so here's one I kinda like:

In case of huge image

Not sure if she'd have anything specific with people submitted already. Possibility of magical conflict with Evangeline, may have attempted to gather information about local roads (and alternative pathways) with Lynnara, but I'm having trouble coming up with specific ideas.

Burdock
Orc (or Half-Orc) Fighter

Burdock was a cast-off child captured and enslaved by a man who peddled bloodsport.  At first, he was used merely as entertainment, sent out ahead of fights to 'battle' owlbear cubs and other small beasts with wooden weapons and makeshift armor.  As he grew older, however, his role shifted and he began to clean and carry less in favor of training with the other fighters, his skills steadily honed with the idea that he could serve as a handy opponent for the others to spar against.  Eventually, though, as one might have expected, he grew to be the most adept fighter in the whole lot and that was when he was added to the roster of champions and given the same opportunity to fight for his freedom that the other fighters were provided.  Fifty successful fights would finally see him free of the man who'd owned him for almost as long as he could remember, with the knowledge that failure would mean death.

Whist
Tiefling Rogue

Whist lives up to her name, earned for the eerie silence that has been with her since birth.  While not mute, she can be a bit taciturn and often slips away to spend alone time once her companions have settled for the night  She's not anti-social, however, and enjoys carousing and getting up to trouble as much as the next Tiefling.  No on knows quite what she gets up to on the lonely forays, but at least whatever she's doing isn't being done to those she's meant to be working with.

These characters are all fantastic.

I think it would be fair to leave the character submission period open for... a week, although I think I have really great characters now.  For the people who submitted characters, are any of you waiting for other players to drop off submissions?

Tremerette

To be honest I could make dozens of characters but it'd just clog things up. I had initially considered a rogue or cleric but decided to split the difference with bard. Depending on the final party make up if she is in it I aim to lean towards where we are more lacking.

I've seen a few games get bogged down with just humping and not enough adventure and general roleplaying. I'd definitely be up for agreeing boot scene and then if we want we can sort it out over PMs.

Possibility of magical conflict with Evangeline.

Evangeline is a convict currently on run from (false) charges of devil summoning, so as a traveling merchant Tinalia would probably have heard the news about that at some point, and thusly start to have some suspicions when she starts working with a jumpy warlock who for some reason refuses to show her face.

Tinalia doesn't know much about magical theory, but as far as she knows, devil summoning is pretty wide. For all she knows, you actually summoned an elemental!

I would be tempted to submit an application, but it sounds like you're already spoiled for choice.

I may instead look at a way of doing a "more sex" run of the same adventure path.  I'll think about that, but that might be some time out.

Well it's less magic theory and more "Hey there's news that an evil sorceress was summoning evil beings via human sacrifice and is now on the loose"

Hey Hopefox I was thinking of a potential connection between our characters. If Kathra's husband died suddenly it could have left her with a lack of closure. Maybe Clara new the couple and offered to help the new widow.

She could have shapeshifted into husband to let Kathra vent, cry and say goodbye. Even if she knew it was not him it could be therapeutic. Clara wouldn't try to take advantage of someone in grieving like that but if Kathra sought out a kiss or a cuddle... who knows.

Oh, I like that idea! She could definitely have used the company while she was grieving.

And after a while, once she had made the decision to explore her new sexual freedom, then maybe Clara could be her first new partner, to make the transition easier. ;)

This is a very odd submission, but I think it's nice.  I haven't really an idea of how artificers work in 5e, so I'll need to review how they work before I make a call.

Glad you like it! I do like to play a middle-aged character from time to time. Artificers are fairly tame in 5E - I can answer any questions you might have about the class. I might also pick up a level of cleric at level 2 or 3, to go with her faenor role.
If you're such an iconoclast, where were you when we trashed Constantinople?

To answer your question, Phantom, no.  I don't know of anyone who is looking to submit.  I'm likely going to go with Bur, since the party is heavily leaning feminine, unless we're looking to keep it an all-female/female-presenting cast.

Geeklet

Just wanna peek my head in here, say that I've been craving a D&D game, and would love to play something.

Though like Bibs said, it does seem to be quite feminine heavy, and the only concept I have thought up so far, doesn't seem to fit in with the initial plot hook, so that is why I haven't actually posted anything until now.

Tremerette

To be fair Clara leans towards being female but gender is like a change of clothes to changelings

Bibliophilia

Yeah, that's my favorite race for that very reason.

Muse

Amara Nars: Cleric of Lathander

   A prosperous Cormyrean athlete and artist, Amara was never particularly interested in men as lovers.  She was a very popular lover among those of the fairer sex in Suzail.  When her father  tried to force her into an arranged marriage at the age of 19, Amara joined the Temple of Lathander.  She eventually became a cleric and traveled to bring the Light of Lathander to the darkest corners of the Realms and taste the lips of foreign girls.

If you prefer a guy i could present a Cleric of Denir instead.  That was my original idea but my picture hunt wasn't cooperating.

I'm going to speculate here, but I don't think Phantom cares about gender balance. I offered a male character and they said they preferred my sorceress. I say submit anyway! Every game on E could benefit from a surplus of choice in characters!

Captain Whitebread

Is this still open for character submissions or do you have a full table?
There are nights when the wolves are silent and it the moon that howls.

Captain Whitebread

#41
Rat aka Helm's Rat aka Collin Whoreson

Recently released from the city watch for getting into a fight with the watch commander's son, Rat grew up on the streets.  His father could be any of a hundred men.  His mother was just another dead whore.  He just wants to help people and keep them safe.

He's not your typical paladin.

Possible Character connections

Gundren Rockseeker - it pays to make friends with the city guards

TWIN OXENBRIDGE - Weak wizards get bullied. Rat could have saved his ass during a bar brawl

Clara Half Elven-Changeling Bard - female bards can be preyed upon.  Rat doesn't like rapists any more than he likes bullies.  Probably less actually

Evangeline Nowls Human Warlock - not likely that he was part of the initial group that came to arrest her or her tutor and now that he is no longer a city guard, he can turn a blind eye.

Kathra Brighthammer Hill Dwarf Artificer - I can almost see a mother/son relationship developing her - not an incestuous one - but Rat barely remembers his mother and could quite easily seek out that comfort, which could grow...

Lynnara - Wood Elf Ranger - Rat is her polar opposite - a city boy born and raised.  Do opposites attract?  He could protect her from the dangers of the city and she could protect him from the wilderness "there's some fuzzy tailed rat in the tree and it's screaming at me!"

Burdock Orc (or Half-Orc) Fighter - not exactly a first level concept but Rat would likely at least be aware of him if the fights were taking place in Neverwinter

Whist Tiefling Rogue - city guard... tiefling rogue... yeah they know each other

Amara Nars: Cleric of Lathander - he'd respect her faith and her choices (and make sure others did the same)

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

I am not going to choose players.  I will elect to allow everyone to participate if they wish.

If you've posted interest so far but you've failed to produce a character, then you can build a character that the party meets up on the road.

If you haven't posted a character or expressed interest, you may express interest to replace any characters that fall by the wayside, but you will not be allowed to participate.

Hi, gang!

A player dropped out and her replacement kind of no-showed, so I'm looking for an additional PC for this campaign.

I -think- the party needs a good perception-heavy rogue.

The party currently consists of:
1.  A dwarven artificer;
2.  A human warlock;
3.  A changeling bard;
4.  A human cleric;
5.  A human paladin;
6.  A human sorceress; and,
7.  An elven ranger.
