KnightmareTerror

Well, I'm approved and ready to go, so here it is, my first request thread!

Request #1

Now, I know that since this series doesn't seem to have really caught on yet, this one is probably the long shot to end all long shots, but given my history of partner searches in other venues, I'm sort of the queen of long shots, so I'm prepared for another swing and miss.  (Haha.  Baseball joke.  ...I'll show myself out.)

Strike It Out!

What

Tribe Nine!  Watched it recently after I learned that one of my favourite content creators was voicing a character in the dub.  Yes, that guy, you know the one.  I knew that character's voice would be fantastic, but I was a bit dubious about the rest, since I'm from the era of dubs being hot garbage ninety-nine percent of the time, but I was pleasantly surprised.  The voice acting is fabulous all around, dubs really do seem to have improved in the last decade or so and I am here for it.

As is customary, I'll happily play any character my partner wants in exchange for a certain character being played for me, you know the drill.  Bear in mind that this is the only kind of "doubling" I'll do; I don't do the "one roleplay for what I want, one for what you want" thing.  I want something with mutual interest, not two people each doing the thing they want, and another thing they're not even into just so they can get the story they're after.  If we're not both having a good time, then what's the point?

Canon-adjacent plotline preferred, more details can be hashed out at our leisure.

Who

I'm specifically looking for someone to play this handsome fellow:

Yep.  I'm an Ojiro simp, I admit it.  I'm not ashamed.  Can you blame me?  Look at him!

Be my Ojiro, I'll be your whomever, just name your gal!  Or guy, whichever you like.  I realize there actually aren't that many female characters in Tribe Nine.  Just for clarity's sake, yes, this is an OCxCanon request, and obviously, that's an option open to any potential partner as well.  The only condition I have is that your character be...you know, an actual character, with a personality and motivation beyond getting in the pants of whatever person they have their sights set on.  Characters that are essentially just blank-slate (or worse, Mary Sue) sex dolls aren't fun.  Nobody likes playing against those.

...Yeah, there's no where or why section, so if you were looking for them...well, let me know where they ended up if you do manage to find them.

Request #2

Less of a long shot, but probably still a bit of one.  Somehow the pairing isn't very popular, I have no idea why that is, but there's practically zero content for it anywhere, so there you have it.  Rarepair, and it makes me sad.

The Crown Prince and the Courtesan

What

Final Fantasy XIV.  AU-ish, non-canon.  Very slight personality alterations made, in that neither of them is a complete psycho/sociopath and thus capable of forming an actual bond.  But make no mistake, their feelings for one another do not make them good people.  A monster in love is still a monster.

Who

I'm looking for a Zenos

for my Yotsuyu.

(Ignore Grynewaht in the background there, nobody cares about him.  He just happened to be in this image and it was the best one I could find.)

Plot

Forced into marriage at thirteen as a child bride with a man more than twice her age, then sold to a brothel only a few short years later after her husband's mysterious death, Yotsuyu's life has never been her own.  Made to entertain and service men she hates for the last decade, she is not a person, but property; it is all she has ever known, and it has made her angry and bitter toward everyone she deems complicit in her suffering.

She has no love for her country or its people, who looked the other way when she needed help and either pointedly ignored her torment or deliberately contributed to it.  Neither does she have any sympathy for the hardships and misery imposed upon them by Garlean rule.  Her whole life has been spent under the boot of one man or another, her fellow Domans have not felt a fraction of the pain they inflicted upon her and do not deserve her pity.

Trapped in sexual slavery, Yotsuyu expects that she will continue to work as a prostitute until the day she dies, or until her beauty fades, whichever comes first.  She plays her role well, as she has no other choice, but behind her soft voice and demure smile burns a hatred and longing for vengeance that no man could ever hope to smother.

Opportunity comes calling one day when a handful of men representing several high-ranking Garlean houses visit the brothel with a sinister purpose.  They dislike the current emperor, and wish to remove him from the throne so they may replace him with one of their own lords, or one of said lords' heirs.  Aside from the task of killing their ruler himself, however, there is still one problem...

Emperor Varis has a son.  Should His Radiance die, the crown prince will inherit the throne, and should that happen, he will not be so easily disposed of.  The prince is a beast, a one man army capable of slaughtering entire battalions without so much as losing his breath, and to engage him directly with or without one's intentions known would be tantamount to suicide.  He is also cunning, too much so for an ambush to have any hope of success, which leaves only one avenue remaining.

The prince will soon come to the country and reside in the royal palace for foreseeable future, having been appointed by his father as viceroy of Doma.  The most important houses of Garlemald will give him the gift of a courtesan, that he may enjoy the company of a woman who will entertain him in any way he so desires.  This woman will obediently cater to his every whim, hang on his every word, and gain his trust...and once he has finally lowered his guard, when he least expects it, she will take his life.

Any woman stuck in this brothel would surely leap at the chance for a way out.  Though there are many lovely women employed in this place, it is Yotsuyu they approach with their plan.  She is by far the most beautiful, and easily the cleverest, and she will need beauty and brains both in order to succeed.  If she can accomplish their goal, if she can assassinate the prince, they will make her the lady of her own high house in Garlemald, once their own man has been established on the throne.

Yotsuyu is no fool.  She knows that killing a man like the crown prince is nigh impossible, and that if she is caught, it will be her throat that is cut.  Even so, a chance is a chance, and she would rather die than spend the rest of her days as a whore.  She wants out, and these men have made her an offer she cannot refuse.

"Kill Zenos yae Galvus, and you will go free."

Request #3

Fate/Stay Night: The Fifth Holy Grail War: Redux

I recently finished watching through the Fate/Stay Night franchise (Chronological order, Zero through Heaven's Feel; hugely disappointed with HF, the story wasn't great and I found Sakura completely unlikeable), and I'm all about Fate right now.  I would straight-up kill a man to get a partner for my shower thought turned plot, details of which can be found below under the pairing requests.

I'm specifically looking for an Archer for my Rin; I'll happily play Saber/Artoria in a Saber x Shirou pairing as well as, but not instead of, Rin x Archer.  I would actually prefer both, truth be told, but if I had to pick only one of these girls to play, it would be Rin.  So, just to make it crystal clear, I will play Saber, but only if I get my Archer for Rin.  You can have just Rin or you can have Rin and Saber, but you can't have just Saber.  I also won't play either of them against other characters; it's Rin and Saber for Archer and Shirou, respectively.  Not negotiable.  If you're not interested in playing either of them, this ain't for you.

The plot: the Fifth Holy Grail War with a time-looping twist!

The time loop is, on the surface, exactly what it says on the tin; once the war comes to a close, time rewinds back to the start. For simplicity's sake, let's say it turns back the clock to Rin's summoning ritual, a minute or two before she begins her incantation. Everything is reset. Anyone who died is alive again, all battles that were fought haven't yet happened, any and all memories of the war that has already taken place are erased, and any feelings that might have developed are, sadly, forgotten. For the first loop or two, nobody notices anything is wrong. They have no recollection whatsoever of anything that happened the last time around, and all proceeds exactly as a Holy Grail War should and always does; there's no reason the exact chain of events has to be the same every time, mind you, each loop can have things happen differently in terms of who fights whom and the order of confrontations, interpersonal interactions and events, and whathaveyou. Whatever the case, no one remembers anything at first.

After a couple of loops, though, things start to seem off. Episodes of deja vu, conversations that one or both parties are sure they've had before, predicting the opponent's next several moves down to the slightest motion, having knowledge of things they have no business knowing. The memory erasure begins to decrease in effectiveness with every loop after that. The first memories that linger are fractured and unclear, but they start remembering things with more clarity as the war continues to repeat itself. Something isn't right in Fuyuki, and Tohsaka Rin, for one, intends to find out what.

The rewinding is, of course, caused by the only thing that could possibly be powerful enough to pull off such large-scale magic. This idea would require at least a sliver of self-awareness on the part of the Grail, but from what I can gather it's actually somewhat unclear as to whether it canonically has any consciousness or not, so if that's the case, it may not even be particularly canon-noncompliant to have it act according to its own will. As for the why of it, that's to be determined; maybe it doesn't like the outcomes it keeps getting, maybe it's trying to force a specific event, or, failing any legitimate ideas, it can just be handwaved, since the reason ultimately isn't that important to the plot.

General info on me/what I look for in a partner/my on and off list/etc can be found here.  Hit me up if any of these take your fancy.

I've added a second request to this thread.  For a Final Fantasy XIV plot, take a look at The Crown Prince and the Courtesan!

KnightmareTerror

Got a bite on The Crown Prince and the Courtesan, but due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, negotiations kind of fell apart, so I'm going to give this thread a quick bump to announce that I'm still looking.  Really have a heavy need for that particular plot though; are there really so few people who play critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV?

KnightmareTerror

I disappeared off the face of the planet for a while, buuut I'm back now, with a third request into the bargain.  Take a look, see if there's anything you like.

KnightmareTerror

Dragon Ball Z plot has been taken, but the other two are still available!  Hoping there'll be some takers this time.

Update made to the Fate/Stay Night request, there's a plot idea now!
