No longer seeking!

The Quick n' Dirty

  • A partner's sex, gender identity, or planet of origin do not matter to me, though I do prefer to write with fellow Earthlings, whom I am one of.
  • I ain't no size queen. As long as the post has details and thought and helps to advance the scene, I'm peachy. You can find samples of my writing by visiting my O/Os, where I have a list of stories I have been involved in. Or stalk me. Whichever!
  • I try to post at least once every 1-2 weeks. I might be faster or slower as the muse or life changes. I'm willing to wait up to a couple months for a response, especially if a partner is preoccupied.
  • Threads for roleplaying. PMs for plot discussion and chit-chat, at least initially.
  • I'm looking for the two leads to be two men. Whether they become intimate or remain platonic doesn't matter to me.
  • For this search, I desire an emphasis on story, though on occasion, I'm willing to indulge in smut if that's what a partner wants to do.
  • I have no preference on playing a dominant, switch, or submissive.
  • Indulging the non-con savage trope does not interest me.
  • I'm cool with bringing in additional characters of any race or gender as is needed for the story.
  • An ideal partner will proactively assist with the story or take the lead. I will also put forth effort to collaborate, of course, but I haven't written in fantasy much and probably cannot drive the majority of the plotting and worldbuilding without shaky results.
  • A partner can describe their character or use any visual representation, whether real, CGI, or illustrated. When it comes to illustrations, I prefer more realistic styles over anime or something cartoonish.
  • If the hope is for our characters to become intimate, I have to admit that long hair squicks me out. I can tolerate it given the genre, but I'm going to be much more interested without that aesthetic.
  • That's the gist. More details in my O/Os. Check 'em out to ensure I suit your fancy.

The Dealio

I'm looking to play a half-orc--or an orc if establishing their appearances as being more humanoid, like in Skyrim. Beyond that, the specifics are open. We could play out a short adventure. We could go with something more involved. It could be freeform, or 5e or other light system elements could be incorporated. Loose ideas follow, but I'm more than happy to hear about different ones.

A New Reality
Your character lived a pretty normal life in the normal world where they went to sleep in their normal bed at the end of the normal day. They wake up somewhere else. Unbeknownst to them and all Earthlings, another world is connected to ours through the Dreaming.

From here, things can be flexible. Maybe my character and a few others were seeking aid for a great conflict, such as an uprising against their enslavers or tyrant. Something went wrong with the ritual. It could be that your character was bestowed with a certain ability, or infused with a certain deity's power or a spirit, something your character has to learn to control, so they can aid their summoners and hopefully return home. Or your character is just a normal joe, and our characters must deal with that during the greater threat while figuring out how to return your character home.

Or your character could have ended up in this new world by some other cause, something special or out of pure randomness.

Other Bunnies
Character A is left for dead and nursed to health by Character B. A partnership begins in which Character A seeks vengeance or to resolve the threat that nearly killed them and slaughtered the people they cared for.

MC is the bodyguard of a prince or other important person. War breaks out and the characters are forced to escape and figure out a way to resolve the conflict.

Character A is a bounty hunter escorting a wanted prisoner to the city where they will stand trial for their crimes. Things go awry and they must work together.

Our characters, two strangers, must cooperate to flee from the slavers who captured them.

Our characters sign up for an expedition to find lost treasure.

Character A is a superior in a mercenary company or hero's guild, and they are taking Character B, a new recruit, on their first mission.

The poor barony of Fairden has been experiencing problems with a menace that is kidnapping villagers. Our characters enlist to deal with the threat and investigate the motivation.

Under the noses of the citizens, various factions have begun competing to find the hidden gold embezzled by the city's previous ruler. When our characters stumble upon the secret, they decide to pursue the treasure for their own reasons. (AKA Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, Alexandrian Remix.)
