The new season of Yashahime is almost here! So glad this old ship of mine became canon. Here's an idea for an RP:

What if…

Sesshomaru never met Rin. Never learned compassion. Never discovered how meaningless power is if you have no one to protect. Never felt powerless in the face of losing a loved one.

A Sesshomaru that remains steadfast on the path of supreme conquest, who destroys anyone, human or demon, who dares stand in his way.

Until, one day, he is bound and sealed by a priestess and a group of monks… Right up until the present day.

These monks are not the heroes they might seem at first glance and had ulterior motives for trapping a powerful demon. Demon slayers have long used demon parts as part of their trade and the monks consume Sesshomaru’s flesh bit by bit to steal his longevity and power over the centuries. He is a finite resource, however, and as science advances, the monks see an opportunity to solve that problem.

Enter Rin.

Orphan. Selective mute.  Adopted by a distant relative, an old priestess tending to a dilapidated shrine in rural Japan. There are very few children in town, as the population has dwindled and mostly elders remain. As a child she helps with the many chores around the shrine and discovers the demon sealed within. She is terrified and fascinated and builds a strange relationship with the creature.

The shrine is demolished and the demon it had kept secret from the world for centuries is taken to a newly built research centre outside the town, half hidden in the mountains.

With limited options for school and even fewer career opportunities, Rin goes on to work as a cleaner at the research facility to support her relative and herself.

She’s mute, unremarkable and a hard worker. Near invisible… And as she learns what exactly they’re doing to the demon she was enchanted and terrified by as a child, she starts making plans for his escape.

What I’m looking for in Sesshomaru:

Bitterness. A quiet rage. A consuming hate for humans and the way they’ve taken over Japan. Frustration at his own weakness and disabilities. The struggle of learning to cope and being dependent on someone else. Otherworldly. Inhuman. Low emotional intelligence/ development, much like at the start of Inuyasha. It's just more ingrained at this point. He’s aged significantly from his 19 years during Inuyasha, because of the monks draining his power. I’m thinking his early/ mid forties. Something else for him to be angry about.

What I’m planning for Rin:

She’s a bit more reserved than Inuyasha’s Rin, as she never had the freedom that being saved by Sesshomaru meant for her. She’s around 16.

She’s kind and caring, despite the trauma in her past. Lonely, but fairly optimistic. Somewhat naive from growing up in a small town amongst old people.

She’s a little ashamed about her lack of education and feels cowardly for not wanting to leave the town, even after her relative’s death.

But she’s willing to break a demon out of a high security research facility.

She’s in way over her head.

Luckily, she has more power over the demon than she could have imagined.

KINKS:
age gap, dub-con/noncon, breeding, pregnancy, (Beast form fun: size difference/ monster / sexual incompatibility), body worship, light femdom

Would like to explore fairly significant disability and scarring when it comes to Sesshomaru. I'd like a beautiful wreck.

"A monster is not such a terrible thing to be. From the Latin root monstrum, a divine messenger of catastrophe, then adapted by the Old French to mean an animal of myriad origins: centaur, griffin, satyr. To be a monster is to be a hybrid signal, a lighthouse: both shelter and warning at once."
