Disclaimer
Yes this is a long wall of text, yes it may get cranky in places.  I find GMing online difficult (both due to issues with myself and with players), but I want my games to succeed.  Hence the rambly mess below.  This game certainly isn’t for everyone and it will save everyone frustration if any incompatibilities are identified in advance.

Summary
This is a Werewolf: The Apocalypse 20th Anniversary system game.  If you join you are required to have at least the core book.  New players are welcome and I don’t mind assisting, but you do have to at least try to understand the rules/setting and create a character.  The nice thing about a play by post game is that there is always plenty of time to look things up!

The game will be set (predominately) in Vancouver, Canada, and area.  Familiarity with the area is not required as I myself have only limited familiarity.

I will try to include canon content and plotlines, and I will try to be accurate to the area the game is set in, but neither will be 100%.  The primary source I will be using is the old book ‘Dark Alliance: Vancouver,’ but with the assumption that things have changed in the last couple (3?  Fuck...) of decades.  I did do some searches and read some wikis, but if there are other sourcebooks I don’t have them.

This game will be rated Extreme and such content may exist in threads.  However!  I am willing to work with players to limit content to what they are comfortable with and to aim for content they are interested in, but this will require effort on the player’s part.

I am aiming for a minimum of 1 post per week from everyone (including myself).  It may be faster, but if you find that pace too slow or are unable to keep up with it, please don’t apply thinking it will be faster and then drop when it ends up being that pace.

Structure
I was debating how sandboxy I want the story to be, as I do prefer players take initiative instead of me feeling like I am railroading.  However that also doesn’t always work well.

My intent is to have an over-arching plot/villain going on, and a number of sub-plots for characters to focus on.  In addition I am happy to try and include specific hooks or content that are desired by the player.

I am looking for a minimum of 3 characters, and a maximum of 8.  I don’t mind, and somewhat intend to, run multiple threads at once with characters moving between them.  That said my intent is generally to limit a thread to 5 characters at most, and to have at least 2 characters at a minimum.  I am not looking to run solo stories for any length of time.

Smut
My preference is a large amount of smut, however I will not require that any specific character is involved in it.

I am mainly interested in M/F content, and mainly of a non-consensual variety.  That is not to say that M/M, F/F, or romantic content is not allowed, but it shouldn’t be expected with an NPC unless another player is temporarily willing to take over the role.

I am going to require that anyone interested post a brief summary of their on/offs.  It is immensely helpful to me to have a reference in one place, instead of trying to go through numerous threads that may not be up to date and may not even exist.

Player Fiat, Deus Ex Machina, and Experience
I am instituting a house rule.  Though with the caveat that it will likely need to be tweaked as we go.

A player may, when faced with defeat through dice rolls for their character, choose to escape narrowly instead.  The primary purpose of this to avoid non-consensual smutty scenes if they are not something the player is interested in, though there will be plot-line repercussions of some variety.

A player may choose to fail when they might otherwise succeed.  The primary purpose of this to to lead to non-consensual smutty scenes that the player is interested in.  Though again there will be plot-line repercussions.  The resolution of said scene will be discussed between player and GM, but in general I am not looking to kill off or otherwise remove a character from the game.

A player may always suggest a plot point or scene feature that the GM has not included or thought of.  It could be to change something in the scene, to bring in a hook related to a character, or something else.  It can be related to (potential) smut or entirely non-smutty.  If the suggestion is used all characters involved in the scene will gain 1XP.

The above are for the individual.  So one character may escape while others are defeated, or vice versa.

A player may always choose to fade to black.  In the event of a group scene where one player wants to continue and one wants to fade, I will do my best to either spoiler content, move threads, or otherwise find some resolution that doesn’t involve the fade to black player waiting for the scene to resolve.

I will not be punishing a player/character for avoiding smut, but I will reward the group as a whole if characters are involved in smut, likely at the rate of 1XP per scene.  So if a character seduces a guard as a distraction, or if the above option to be defeated is used, everyone involved in the plot will gain (at least) 1XP.

All of the above unfortunately only applies to smut I am interested/willing in writing.  In the event that any of it would give rise to smut I am not interested in writing (such as M/M or romantic content), then I will give an additional 1XP (probably to everyone in the scene) if a player is willing to take on the role of the NPC for the scene.

My intent is to be generous with XP (in general, not just as a smut reward) to counteract the slow nature of a play by post game.

Setting
As mentioned above the game will mainly take place in Vancouver and area.

QuoteIn the Gothic-Punk version of Vancouver, the weather is worse.  The sky is always overcast and the tang of pollution catches in one’s throat.  The gargoyles of American gothic architecture are replaced with corporate symbols, and huge video boards carry the latest advertisements.  It always seems to be raining.  When the rain stops, the sky is filled with smoke from the factories by the river.  At night, business suits give way to leather jackets and faces are whitened with makeup.  There are shadows everyone, and anything can be bought by someone who knows where to look and what price to pay.
Dark Alliance: Vancouver Page 14

As of the Dark Alliance Vancouver book there was a 'Covenant' between the Vampire Prince Siegfried, who was neutrally aligned, and the Garou.  It was basically a peace agreement with some restrictions.  For example vampires were only allowed to arrive in Vancouver by land, and only alone.  The vampires would help fight wyrm influence and encourage reforestation, and similar sorts of things.  Siegfried was a neutral (so not Camarilla, Sabbat, or Anarch) vampire, and Vancouver was a safe-haven for kindred.  However his laws were fairly strict, such as no siring new vampires, no clans or other vampiric organizations (and as a result, no clan leaders), no conflict (the whole city is effectively an Elysium), no killing humans, and no inciting the Garou.

As of the start of this game the Covenant is somewhere between broken and teetering on the edge of being broken.  I believe the larger canon story of the setting is similar, but I will be largely ignoring that as I don't have any other sourcebooks related to Vancouver.

Backstory
As servants of the Wyrm maneuver in the outskirts of the city, the peace with the Vampires within the city appears to have been broken.  The Great Caern of Cooperation has found itself pushed towards a war for not just the city of Vancouver, but for much of British Columbia.  The leeches use their mortal influence to harass the Garou and aid the servants of the Wyrm, while far darker threats wait in the shadows for their time to strike.

A Silent Strider traveling along the Trans-Canada Highway send word of a group of leeches attempting to enter Vancouver in violation of the Covenant.  The pack that went to assist found him, or at least what remained of him, chained to a tree at a logging site near Wahleach Lake.  The more militant factions have called for all out war with the leeches in revenge, the more peaceful ones have demanded an investigation first.  A new pack, deemed reasonably neutral on the matter, have been sent to hunt down the leeches.

Interest Summary
What, in broad sweeps or specifics, are you interested in?  This can be specific smut, the focus of the story, or most anything else.  Do you want a politics and intrigue heavy plot?  A combat heavy one?  The more you tell me, the better I can tailor things.  I can’t promise everything will match, but I will try.  Please include plots/stories/etc specifically related to your character specifically as well.

On/Off Summary
Please briefly summarize your major ons/offs, especially in the context of this game.  What do you want to happen?  What do you want to avoid?  Please don’t just link to, or tell me to read, your on/off page.  Part of the reason I want this is so that I can check everyone at once in one place, and part of the reason is that I find many on/off pages either missing, outdated, or frustrating to parse.

Characters
I am primarily looking for Garou.  I am willing to consider any Tribe, though obviously some are a harder sell than others.  I am also willing to consider a (limited number of) Changing Breeds.

I am not looking for a full character sheet.  A tribe, auspice, and brief outline of your concept is fine. Please also include the above mentioned interest and on/off summary.

I will lock this thread when I am finished with recruiting, so if this thread is unlocked I am still willing to accept submissions.  I am not going to go first come first served, and I may not accept everyone.  I hate to reject people, but at the same time I want the right group, not the first group.

While it would be nice to have a good mix of auspices, it isn't required.  If everyone ends up being a ragabash it may be an odd game, but we'll make it work.  So while you can certainly coordinate, please understand it may not help (or hinder) your chances.

Random Thoughts
If I missed anything or there are any questions please post them here!

I will probably provide a small-ish (10XP?) bonus to start, as well as a small shared pool of XP to be put towards a totem background.

I have considered allowing a character or two from different systems, specifically Vampire or Mage, but I am less familiar with those systems.  That said if a way was found to make it work and a concept that fit was offered, I might consider it.  It will be a hard sell however.[/s]

Muse

I'd like to play, please.  It's great to see you again, Pixie.

Anaïs "Annie" Avaline
Deed Name:  Sky's Grace
Concept:  Parkour Girl City Shaman
Auspice:  Theurge
Breed:  Homid
Tribe:  Glass Walker

Potential Backstory:

Anaïs grew up in Paris, France.  Her father--Sylvan "Euro Pirate" Avaline--was a high stakes lawyer who used the money he raised from corporate law suits to quietly finance charitable cases when he wasn't monkey wrenching Pentex firms at night.  Her mother Maron Avaline--a lovely red haired kinfolk--seemed to be a trophy wife from her looks and style, but was heavily involved in charity work and political activism.
Anaïs's English was good.  She first picked up the nickname, "Annie" in her elementary school English class and used it whenever speaking English, including online.
Anaïs's couldn't get as much time with her family as she wanted, and she was known as a little girl to scale up onto the rooftops just because she was bored or lonely.  The rooftops of Paris quickly became her favorite place.  They cleared her thoughts, calmed her heart.  She watched the world pass by down bellow and pondered deep thoughts.  Some extremely spiritual and relevant, others simply flights of whimsey.
Anaïs grew more physical as her parents tried to get her involved in the martial arts, in preparation for a potential first change.  Her twin little brothers were really into savate and wuu shuu, and that redoubled her excitement.  As Anaïs grew more physically active and started watching kung fu movies--and musicals--she developed her climbing into parkour.  She was extremely good.   Her balance was impeccable, and she was fearless!
Anaïs's first change was blessedly peaceful.  Her father and his pack were away and couldn't have controlled her if she'd gone into a violent bersker.  Instead she woke up with the rising sun, naked and strangely exhilarated, on the roof of Notre Dame!
That was actually when she met Océane Black Feather--a flirty smart alic Corax--who gave her a lear and a look over, and then flew some clothes up to her.  Océane also taught her to use throwing knives, which Anaïs found she had quite a knack for.

Interest Summary

I'd like to play, please.  :)  I really love your games, Pixie, both the adventurous action and the forbidden delights.  It can be hard to hold and dominate a garou, but I'd enjoy that.  Annie won't fight too hard.  Please hold her down 'til the pleasure makes her weak, and then force delicious ecstacy on her 'til no becomes yes.
I'll have a really good time with normal Werewolf stories.  Actual politics can be a little meh.  We're not vampires.  We have a war to fight.  We have cause to believe in.  Our Mother needs her warriors.  Rallying packs or septs to work together towards that goal is a good aspect of a story.  Winning the assistance of spirits and other supernaturals?  Getting mundanes interested in the environment?  That's all great.  I just don't want to spend days or weeks spreading rumors to smear my rivals.
I'm really looking forewords to a good old fashioned, "Send the young pack into the Pentex facility to rip apart the banes and destroy the toxin generating machines and purify the land," story.  :)  I love umbra quests where we try to understand a problem by examining it through metaphors and legends.

[b
Ons/Offs summary]
I love emotion heavy non con.  Don't just take your pleasure from my writhing body, make me drip.  Make me want it.  Make me beg for it.  Please hold Annie down 'til the pleasure makes her weak, and then force delicious eccstacy on her 'til no becomes yes.  Put something on the line.  Have a black spiral dancer threaten to breed her.  When she begs him to pull out, have him say that if she doesn't cum before he's had his pleasure, he'll pull out and gush into her mouth.
   Then make her cum!
For a great writer like you, and given that this is werewolf, a little pain is okay.  Maybe even a little blood.  Those are normally turn offs.  (Well, maybe a little pain isn't normally a turn off.)
I have a huge fetish for virgins, so please make an issue of claiming Annie's maidenhead.  But it's more than just a "another virgin to conquer."  Especially when I'm playing the girl.  I like to take an innocent girl, at least slightly repressed, and see what happens to her as she has sexual experiences.  Maybe she's a little stuck up, but after she's molested the first time, she turns to her friends and develops healthy sexuality.  Maybe she's so overwhelmed by the ecstacy that she becomes the loving slave of the man who claimed her.  Maybe she looses total control of her libido and will sleep with anyone.  Maybe she stays reluctant while secretly yearning to be raped again and again and again.
A relevant meh for me in this story is vampires.  If the story calls for me to be molested and drained by a vampire, sure.  I'll have a little fun, but I defiantly have things I'd rather be having sex with.  Black spiral dancers.  Tentacled banes.  Fomori who are ugly and inhuman but preferably not rotting away.
Same with canines and equines who aren't anthropomorphic.  For this story I'll go with it.  Skilled writing is a whole lot sexier than wolves aren't.  But I'd prefer you molest me in the crinos.  :)
Things I'd actively like to avoid are gore and non-sexual bodily fluids.

Alternate Concepts

Annie is a concept I'd like to play, but I have lots of others if someone else wants to do a similar roll.  Another thing i'd really like to play--if you want it in your story--is a Corax who finds information for the pack.  She could easily get caught a lot and have to be rescued.
