An interesting 5-minute documentary from the BBC.

Maybe I'll get my next character to nibble eyelashes instead.

Azy

I don't know about eyelashes, but nibbling the back of my neck works for me.

BlueOrange

That does actually sound much more enjoyable!

Not all nationalities kissed before globalization. Native Americans found it disgusting that colonials kissed and called it tasting each other's dirt

Innuits also didn't kiss, but shared what we call today butterfly kisses.

People as a whole are social creatures and have had various ways of sharing different kinds of bonds, including close intimate bonds

Over time, especially as western european culture expanded across the globe, kissing became an accepted form of affection inconjunction with other forms of affection

I thought butterfly kisses were fluttering your eyelashes against someone's cheek, and that the Inuit greeting was a nose-to-nose touch?  (Considering the dangers of frostbite on damp skin, I'd avoid mouth-kisses as well.)

There’s a bit of the documentary that says “The more clothes you wear, the more you concentrate your erotic gestures onto the face”, which I found interesting.

Azy

Makes sense.  There's just something about someone touching your bare skin, but if it's all covered up, that won't work.
