The Enchanted Path

It is a well-known fact to all witches that all living beings radiate magic energy. This energy varies in power and type depending on who it is and what they are feeling or doing. This magic is what gives life, what binds the entire universe together. This magic is called "Soulfire." Yes, witches can always do magic using their own soulfire, but in order to create stronger magic, potions, spells, enchantments, an outside source is needed. Soulfire sources can come from feelings such as love or fear or things such as dancing and singing. Everything produces its own unique soulfire energy, but the most powerful source is from passionate feelings, such as sex or anger. These principles are what the Coven of the Goddess have based their way of life around.

The Coven of the Goddess is a quaint village of powerful witches that exists in the forest outside of the governing kingdoms. Only whispers of rumors are known about their existence, and most don't believe them. Magic was long ago outlawed in the kingdoms, which is why witches live in secrecy. The Coven is primarily women and lives in harmony and peace, un-corrupted by the evils outside. They live in small cabins in thick woods, near a flowing river. The forest is bountiful and they live in comfort. Sister covens exist but they are a many weeks journey away.

In the Coven of the Goddess, young witches are raised learning the art of magic until the age of 25, when they reach the level of Enchantress. At this stage of life, they venture out of the village on their own to find a Soulmate. Being an Enchantress involves powerful magic and spells, ones of a caliber where an outside source is absolutely necessary to pull them off. This is what a soulmate is for, a constant source. The culture of the Coven of the Goddess is centered around love and compassion, so they take a vow from the very beginning to power their magic with only good. A Soulmate can provide this power through good things such as love and sex, and in return, they are taken care of by the Coven, they are loved and protected and live a comfortable life. The only rules when finding a Soulmate is that it must be someone you genuinely love, they must fall in love with you without the use or knowledge of magic, you are bonded for life, and you can only have one Soulmate in your lifetime. This pilgrimage to find a Soulmate is called the Enchanted Path and only the most powerful witches wanting to become Enchantresses take it.

Then came Luca's turn to take the Enchanted Path. Luca had striven to reach this point her entire life, she was always full of determination to become a powerful enchantress, fueled by a desire to prove herself. She was always top of her classes, a truly gifted witch, but intelligence and power are not what is important to become an Enchantress. What really mattered was the purity of her love she put into the world. Luca had a difficult time grasping this. She never understood what determined the quality of her love. She wasn't worried, she was sure once she met her Soulmate, it would all fall in to place and she would finally understand how to love.

However, Luca was months into her journey at this point, with little to no luck. She made the month's travel to the kingdoms, she had found beautiful women that peaked her interest and handsome men that intrigued her, but she failed to make a genuine connection with anyone. She traveled from kingdom to kingdom meeting people from all around the world but she had yet to find anyone she loved. Anxiety crept up more and more every day, how could she return to her coven with no Soulmate? She was top of her class, she would be such a disappointment. She couldn't handle that feeling... Her mother had found her Soulmate within days of her journey. Is there something wrong with me?

Hello! Nice to meet you! This roleplay will have a heavy focus on story, sex, romance. Any gender partner is welcome! It will be in 3rd person, and 1-2 paragraph responses would be ideal. I love building a story together with a partner, so although there is a general plot laid out, I would love story, plot twists, etc from you too, be as creative as you want! Also there are no limits on your character, they could be nobility, royalty, a peasant, a knight, anyone you want! I can write a starting prompt depending on who your character is.
