I guess it is finally time I make a thread to place all my plots in, so welcome! I'll keep it nice and simple and jump straight to the point.

What I'm looking for in a story/writing partner:
- Somebody that hashes out the plot together with me. I hate having to think of every single detail and event that can possibly happen. Let's     
  make this a team effort, shall we?
- Somebody that isn't afraid to add and write multiple background characters. To me, it makes a story more real, and there are more than two
  people in the world at all times, after all. 
- I have absolutely no minimum post requirements. You reply to our story whenever you can, I am very patient. Sometimes real life gets in the way
  and that's just fine because real life ALWAYS should come first.
- I do appreciate lengthy posts but don't expect a whole book every single time. A minimum of two to three paragraphs is preferred, though.
- MUST write in third Person Perspective. I can't do First / Second Person narratives

KINKS

Depending on the mood of the plot, these are some of my 'kinks':
- SLOW BURN stories
- 20-30 percent Smut - 80-70 percent Plot
- Lots and lots of banter between MC and YC
- Slice of Life Plots
- The 1950's (enough said)

Offs.
- Anything to do with scat/vore
- Non-Con. I'm not opposed to Bondage, at all. But rape, etc. Is where I draw the line.
- Partners that leave leading the story up to me. I'm not a machine, I need at least some oil or supportive pushes to keep things going.
- Anthro's (does not include Werewolves or Vampires)


Important note concerning OOC chat; I don't want to sound like an ass but my biggest off isn't even roleplay related. I come online to write to either be creative or to get away from the messes of RL. I enjoy the occasional OOC chats, but if it's to continuously complain about your life, your troubles, etc... I take it to heart and it just depresses me when this site should be all about good times. It's not that I don't care, it's that I might care too much and I just do not have the energy for it. So, if you really are having a hard time I hope you understand I am not your therapist and will never be able to give you the support you might seek. I do apologize.

Beneath the Surface

A solitary rancher is fighting to keep his land alive in the arid sprawl of West Texas. His cattle are dying, the water tastes like metal, and the earth beneath him feels poisoned. He’s bitter, and barely holding on, but also too proud to quit.

Then a clean-cut corporate lawyer shows up from the city, sent by a powerful firm representing an energy company. He’s there to offer a lucrative buyout: sign the papers, sell the land, and walk away. His offer is generous, the contract ironclad. The rancher turns him down flat.

The lawyer leaves without a deal, but something nags at him. The dying cattle. The smell in the air. The silence in the soil. He takes a water sample back with him. The lab results don’t just point to contamination, they expose a buried truth that could burn the company to the ground.

Oscar Winning Tears

In 1954 Hollywood, a famous leading man (MC) is cast opposite a notoriously unreliable movie star whose frequent absences force a little-known supporting actress (YC) to step into her place. What starts as casual friendship between the actor and the stand-in soon grows into something deeper, leaving the closeted star questioning feelings he never expected to have.

What he doesn't know is that the actress isn't a woman at all. An aspiring actor with delicate features and no hope of being cast as a leading man, he has disguised himself to break into an industry that would never give him a chance otherwise.

We could also turn this into the stand-in being just that, a male stand-in for about whatever and whomever they need him to be, where sparks still fly during their rehearsals and they're forced to keep their true emotions hidden.

Borrowed Notes

Character A is Hollywood's newest golden boy. He's handsome, charismatic, and the studios are convinced he's destined to become their next leading man. There's just one small problem: in an era where movie musicals dominate the box office, he can't sing.

Character B, meanwhile, has the voice everyone wants to hear but none of the recognition. He's quietly hired by the studio to record all of Character A's songs, with the understanding that nobody outside a handful of executives can ever know. One man gets the spotlight, the other stays anonymous.

Character A might genuinely appreciate B's talent while struggling with the guilt of taking credit for it, or maybe he leans into the lie at first. Character B could resent watching someone else receive standing ovations for performances that are just as much his, or perhaps he never cared about fame until he got close enough to taste it.

Award Season

Character A and Character B are two of Hollywood's biggest stars, both campaigning for the same Academy Award. They can't stand each other. Character A is convinced B is an arrogant industry darling who's never had to struggle for a single role, while B thinks A is a pretentious snob who mistakes cynicism for intelligence.

Unfortunately for them, the studios have decided their rivalry is great publicity. For the next six months they're constantly thrown together: talk shows, magazine shoots, film festivals, charity galas, awards campaigns, late-night interviews... if there's a camera nearby, chances are they're standing next to each other.

I'd love to play around with the gradual shift from mutual irritation to genuine friendship and eventually romance, all while they're forced to keep up appearances in front of the press. Plenty of public bickering, behind-the-scenes vulnerability, gossip columns, PR disasters, fake smiles for photographers, and the pressure of awards season. By the time Oscar night finally rolls around, they have far more to lose than a golden statue.

The House Between Us

I've been watching these English boarding school videos on YouTube and it made me want to write about it, though this could absolutely be about American boarding schools as I'm a little better versed in that sort of setting lol! Of course, this wouldn't be about the actual kids attending, but proper adults:

Character A is a former Olympic rower whose career ended after a devastating injury. With nowhere else to go, he returns to his old boarding school as its youngest-ever housemaster, hoping the familiar halls might help him figure out what comes next. Character B never really left and now serves as the school's financial director, quietly trying to keep the struggling institution afloat. The catch? They were each other's first love as teenagers, and things ended badly enough that neither expected to ever see the other again. Forced to work together to save the school, they'll have to navigate years of unresolved feelings, old regrets, and discover whether there's still something worth fighting for after all this time.

Or we could go with how Character A and Character B attended the same prestigious boarding school, where one impulsive kiss on graduation night became the beginning, and immediate end, of whatever might have been. Fifteen years later, an executive leadership programme unexpectedly reunites them on the very campus they left behind. As old feelings begin resurfacing, anonymous letters threatening to expose a long-buried secret from their final year start appearing. Whether that secret was a crime, a cover-up, or simply something that would destroy both of their careers is completely open for discussion.

Another idea: Character A is the heir to a once-powerful company, attending their old boarding school's lavish alumni gala in the hope of securing investors before the family business collapses. Character B is an award-winning investigative journalist returning to expose corruption involving several influential former students. Back at school they were academic rivals, captains of competing houses, and they haven't spoken in over a decade. Then, the morning after the gala, a former classmate is found dead, and a snowstorm traps everyone on campus until help arrives. They're forced to work together to uncover the truth while confronting everything they left unsaid thirteen years ago.

Back Into The Swing Of Things

Looking to write a plot centered around the swing dancing scene! (Inspo: Baby Blue) I've got a few different ideas below, but I'm more than happy to mix and match them, steal the bits we like best, or come up with something entirely new together!

One thing that won't change is that I'm looking to play a more 'effeminate' character for this (research wise / practice). I'd say he grew up training in ballet and was on track to pursue it professionally, but somewhere along the way he discovered swing dancing and completely fell in love with it. Ballet gave him incredible technique: he's graceful, expressive, playful, but after years of rigid rules and perfect lines, he chose a dance style where he could relax, improvise, and actually enjoy himself. Unfortunately, the competition world doesn't always see it that way. Judges regularly comment on his dance style and while nobody can fault his technique, every partnership with a woman seems to score lower than it should because he doesn't fit expectations.

One possible direction is that, as a last-ditch effort to save his competitive career, his coach pairs him with another man. Your character could be an accomplished, highly disciplined competitor whose style is the complete opposite of mine: precise, traditional, strict, and maybe more than a little intimidating. They'd drive each other absolutely insane at first, but eventually realize that those differences actually make them stronger as a partnership.

Another idea is that my character isn't the newcomer at all. Instead, yours is already one of the biggest names in competitive swing when his longtime partner gets injured just before a major championship. Every available replacement turns him down, leaving my character as the only realistic option. Everyone assumes it's a temporary fix until you find another woman to compete with... except the partnership unexpectedly works, and suddenly the two of them become the pair everyone's talking about.

Or maybe both of our characters are struggling for different reasons. Yours works some dead-end job because dancing doesn't pay the bills, so he can only practice after midnight. Mine has disappeared from the competition scene after a disastrous championship and secretly rents the same studio late at night so nobody has to watch him. Neither wants company, but neither can afford to train somewhere else, so they're forced to share the floor. From awkward coexistence to reluctant friendship, to eventually deciding to compete together.

Overall, I'm after a slow-burn (my favorite, as always!) romance with plenty of dancing, competition, character growth, and a healthy amount of rivals-to-partners energy. Whether the conflict comes from outside pressure, clashing personalities, or both, I'd love for the relationship to develop alongside their partnership on the dance floor.
