Trading places

This is an idea that just came to me, a theme that I do like. Its fresh in my mind, so here goes.

I'm thinking that I would have started up a company, and ten years later, its worth a fortune, billions, I'm thinking. A rival of mine who had tried to start up a rival company at the same time would have failed, and upon seeing my success years later, vowed to bring  me down.

She would be bright, but jealous, and lacking in  morals. Over the years, she works on a device that can alter reality, and the history of a person. Getting within range of me, she would use it on me, altering our realities and past. She would come out of it to find herself running the company that I started, while my character comes out of it to find herself without her friends, money, influence, as in this new reality, she never made them.

She would find herself, in this new life and reality, as a prostitute or escort, a fate my rival would see as fitting. Its a variant of the movie trading places, a great 80's movie. My character would have to adapt, endure, and try to find a way out of this.
