I left my tablet and mac at home, the loaner PC I'm on is so buggy it might take a day to fix

So I'll be slow.

I was going to do some form of adept, leaning towards face/disquise if it's allowed

No worries. I have yet to even see a character sheet and I don't think anyone's taken face yet.

I am going to make the responsible choice and withdraw from this game. I have way too much on my plate to add another game. Shadowrun is a long-standing passion of mine but realistically I do not have the time that should be dedicated to a game like this.

Know that I will be lurking in the shadows, watching, waiting.....

No hard feelings. I'm sure we'll have openings over time as I kill characters off as things change.

I would be interested in either:

A - a Troll archery adept dealing with photophobia and sensory overload syndrome (and life as a troll)

B - a face-adept with a seeeeecret.
For Glyph
A corpSIN, because I hate myself.


C - a technomancer. Only time I've done a technomancer in the past it was as a Rigger, so this time as not-a-rigger, probably.

Any feedback Glyph Gloomy? Are there still openings?

Gloomy is the GM, not me. See above for her burning fiery hatred of technos, but thats all I can offer for advice.

Rolling some ideas around in my head. Haven't set anything in stone yet. Trying to make sure I understand the system first because the system looks like there are a lot of fiddly bits that if I miss could make my character suck.

- A shark totem adept who is a blend of martial arts (probably Muay Thai) and recon. This one comes with a question. Could I use Improved Sense to buy the Electroception Metagenic Power? By RAW it says any sensory ability provided by cyberware or bioware or listed under Improved Sense but this seems like something I should be able to purchase with it. I like it thematically for a shark totem adept plus I have an actual degree in marine biology with a focus on sharks.

- A necromantic initiate forensic thaumaturgist who is (obviously) a dedicated investigator.

Either a mystic (or just physical) adept who is a disquise type.. or going cyber with it.

Not sure if I'd play a face or a shadowrunner jack of all trades.

All three look pretty good, honestly. Only reason I don't like Technomancers is I have a hard time figuring out their rules, but the other two I don't see an issue with. If you can build it, more power to you.

Since you really seem to like sharks sure, I'll allow it. The thaumaturgist wouldn't be a bad back-up idea though.

I generally recommend against jack of all trade types in Shadowrun because you simply don't have enough karma or priority to make it work. You'll have such poor dice pools all across the board that it would just be better to focus on a particular task and fall back on your team assisting you with others. Maybe pick up a second if you want but that would be for teamwork tests only.

Okay. I think I'll go with the shark totem adept then and then I can figure out the full Magic rules so that the other can be a viable back up. Put the more complex one on the back burner until I know what the fuck I'm doing.
