PhantomPistoleer

This game currently doesn't have needs:

The group has: a soldier/tech, a scoundrel/scout, a soldier/scout (x2), a fringer/tech, and a noble/force adept.

We are playing through the Living Force, a Wizards of the Coast RPGA organized play campaign, which follows the model of other campaigns such as Living Greyhawk. The campaign is set in the Cularin system, created especially for the campaign and detailed in the Living Force Campaign Guide. The campaign was initially set one year after The Phantom Menace, but to keep current with the movies, the Cularin system time jumped almost ten years when Attack of the Clones came out.

The Living Force campaign lasted for six years, coming to a conclusion after Revenge of the Sith was released. The adventures of the campaign were distributed by the RPGA through its membership for conventions and game days. They were supplemented by articles providing stories, information about the Cularin system, and rules updates for the campaign on the Wizards of the Coast website.

Rules:

We are using Star Wars Core Revised rules, which can be downloaded free on reddit here or by using this online database.

Character Creation:

1.) Ability Scores: You may allot the following ability scores to any ability: 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13.

2.) Species: Alien species discovered during the time frame of the campaign.

3.) Class: Gestalt, any class, with the exception of Jedi.

4.) Vitality Points: Characters will get maximum vitality points for first level and (maximum – two) for each additional level of advancement.

5.) Skills: Any skill listed in the skill or force skill page. (Craft and Profession will be used to a limited degree for income between adventures, but standard income will come through the adventures.)

6.) Feats: Any feat listed in the feat or force feat page.

7.) Credits and Equipment: 3,000 credits.

Conventions

1.) Post Frequency:  We try to post frequently, at least once every two days.  As the GM, I tend to respond quickly.  I generally dislike waiting for people to take a turn posting, and will try to resolve actions and questions as I see them rather than waiting for a massive response.

2.) Post Length:  I don't really mind long posts, but I hate it when characters ask ten different questions, which will require me to have an NPC provide ten different answers.  It doesn't feel like a conversation to me.  So long as the post works organically, I don't mind whether it's long or short.

3.) Smut:  This is targeted.  If you want to play a straight-laced character who never has sex, that's fine.  If you want to play a hedonist who finds herself into NC situations often, then that's fine, too.  I will accommodate.

I am quite interested, and I've got more free time now to have a few rps going, if you don't mind me primarily posting at night (For America). If you don't mind me asking, when exactly is the game taking place? Is it currently taking place at Attack of the Clones? Any other details that should be kept in mind for backstory/personality?

The game takes place in Gadrin, within the Cularin system, in 32 BBY.  It begins shortly after the conclusion of the Trade Wars, and directly after the Blockade of Naboo.

Okay one more question, when you say noble/force sensitive would be ideal do you mean a noble/anything with the force sensitive feat, or a noble/force adept? I have an idea for a Dathomiri witch but . . . it's not gelling as well as going non-force-adept.

Ah, actually, we got ourselves a noble/force adept recently.  You can go with anything you want, but... someone who is a pilot (someone who has a +10 to piloting skill) would be great.

Ohooo, even better. I love playing Pilots. I'll try and get something up soon-ish, depending on how long it takes to find some nice pilot art.

Edit: Should I lean towards Starfighter or Space Transport? I assume the latter?

It's honestly too soon to tell.  Your character won't have access to either during this mission.  You would only be piloting speeders right now.

Okay, have a pilot application. It's been a minute since I did anything with this system, so let me know if I've missed or messed up anything important.

Tamsin Li

https://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=2355170

Tamsin Li is a Corellian. No, that's pretty much the best way to describe her concisely. She's a female human of Corellian stock, and possessed of that stereotypical wanderlust that tends to affect young Corellians. After all, why be on a polution-ridden world when you can be IN SPACE! As a spacer through and through, she did everything possible to get herself into one of the many flight schools around Corellian, though staunchly avoided going full military in order to avoid the possibility of being grounded for any prolonged period of time. After obtaining the necessary skills and licenses she signed up with the first crew looking for a pilot possible, and ventured out into the big black. She flew for a number of small merchant crews over the last year or two, before eventually making her way to the Cularin system with the influx of new people and Republic patrols. She's neither an overly good person, nor a bad person, simply a young woman who is worryingly enamored with flying. As long as she can get her hands on the controls of a starship, she's more than happy enough to follow the orders of whoever owns the damn thing.

Two questions.

1. Are you still looking for more players?

2. How different is this version from Saga? From what I understand Saga was the follow-up system.

1.  Yes... but I may not be able to include them immediately.  I am having a bottleneck issue right now, which is endemic to group games, where we are waiting for people to post before the game can move forward.

2.  Saga is Revised’s “sequel” so to speak.  I think Saga plays similarly, but that character creation is different.  Unfortunately, Revised only has a small selection of base classes, and there is very little in the way of character customization.  I have never actually played either, though.

I'll read a bit deeper into Revised then and potentially pitch a character. Would you be alright with me playing a Wookiee maybe?

I would like to play if you're still taking on players. It's okay if it would take a bit to get my character added into the story. I just have a couple of questions.

What level should we build our characters at? You've probably said somewhere but I'm struggling to find it.

Also, where can I find the current parties' character sheets? The links in the headers don't seem to work for me.

Sure.  Maybe you guys can be in a side thread.

1.  First level gestalt.

2.  I will try to compile all the character sheets real quick.

In hopes of fitting well into the game, I'm gonna make a Force Adept/Scout who is sort of a drifter with no particular place to call home. Are there any particular skills I should focus on that would compliment the current party well or make things any easier for you?

I would like to play a Mirialan. It doesn't seem like they're included in the system you're using, so I was wondering if you wouldn't mind me playing one and just using the human stats.
