So here's a rough idea..

The story:  Shawn inherits house from dead relative. The house is an old, in need of repairs, kind of place. The lawn hasn't been mowed in ages. Thing is it looks pretty normal besides that. But it's actually haunted. He doesn't realize it until a week after he goes into the attic. It's empty except for this really lifelike doll. He gets creeped out and leaves it be. The next morning he wakes up to find a note.

The note has been written by you the ghost.
