It's July, and for five months the world has been ravaged by the Covid-19 pandemic. Our nation has been forced to endure lockdowns, business closures, mass furloughs; an invisible enemy that nobody was prepared to face. On top of that, America has been going through battles for social justice that most haven't known in their lifetime, and a political climate seemingly bent on throwing gasoline on the flames! And not the literal flames burning up the west coast!

People are sick. People are depressed. People are stir crazy! People have been pushing the proverbial boulder up the mountain that is 2020 for what feels like an eternity! People are fed up with it, and that means there's only one thing to do…

The only rules are:
•18 and up, only. All guests will be given colored wrist bands to designate those 21 and over. Any underage drinking will not be tolerated, and will be punished by removal from the grounds.

•No cell phones. There is no cell coverage at the camp anyway, and with the amount of trouble people have been getting into for defying gathering rules, were making a "No Snitching" rule. That means no photos that will get people in trouble later.

That was the message being played over every social media site available for half a month leading up to July. It had been shared, retweeted, re-posted, and commented on over ten million times.

First off I would like to recognize that there are people who will find this idea to be totally inappropriate, and you're right. I know most people want to come here to forget about what is happening in our world right now, and I totally respect that.

But for those around E with as twisted a sense of humor as me, who find seeing awful, brain dead, vapid people, being ripped apart by horror movie slashers, somehow cathartic, this game was made for you!

In this game, players are meant to take up the roles of party goers at this epic spit in the face of a global crisis. Who will then, through the course of the night, be stalked, terrified, and slaughtered by everyone's favorite hockey masked, horror movie slasher, Jason Voorhees



So if that sounds fun to you, keep reading, and thinking about your ideal Jason victim.

Some things to expect…

99% of the characters in this game will get killed, so I highly recommend making characters that you want to see get killed, because most likely it will happen, and it will be brutal.

When I say 99% of characters:
I am a horror movie fanatic, and horror movies have tropes, and rules. One of those being that there will be a survivor girl at the end of this. One girl who gets to walk away and tell the story of what happened.
This character will be chosen at random through a process of elimination. The process being, as characters are killed, the last female character left alive in the group will survive the game… but not without a proper fight for it.

There will also be a Lazarus. This is a person who will have been attacked, appear to have died, and then come back for one last hurrah to likely save survivor girl before ultimately being killed by Jason.

I urge you all not to attempt to make your character the survivor girl!
While typically this character is more sweet, likeable, and virginal, making this your character will in no way influence her status as survivor girl. Just make it more sad if she gets killed.
Mind you, I'm not advising you not to make a character like this, just that you can't make yourself the survivor. Likewise, don't ask to be the Lazarus as this will also be completely random.

The order of deaths - When the game starts out, every character will have a number (1-X), then I'll periodically roll a dice to randomly determine who dies next. If one of your character's number comes up I will reach out to you via pm and we can discuss what kind of death scene you want for them (quick and clean, painful and nasty, put up a fight…)

I highly encourage people to make multiple characters.
Someone is going to die first (aside from npc's) and I don't want someone to feel like they missed out on all of the game because they only made one character who got killed off early.

I'm giving people the option to make 3 characters.
New characters can be made after the start of the party, but there will be a cutoff point before everyone starts realizing that something is very wrong.

Below is a character sheet to fill out if you'd like to submit a character. Remember, I will accept 3 characters from each player. The more characters we have, the faster kills will happen.

I've also included an example character sheet. Once I have them, I will assemble all the sheets in one place so we can keep track of who's still running around the woods, and who has met with an untimely death.

Consider him an essential service, because pandemic be damned, he'll be stalking the camp to make sure anyone who sets foot there pays the price. Just like mother told him.
