Extreme Trigger Warning! This idea will involve a deeper exploration of mental health, including topics that can cause discomfort, such as self-harm or suicide. It will also deal with abuse in various forms and some generally intense kinks. It's really not an idea for just anyone, so I'd need someone not faint of heart to write it with me.

RP writing sample & idea has been placed in a spoiler to avoid people stumbling on/reading something that could upset them.

Writing sample & Idea
It starts with a person lingering on a roof, a mostly empty whisky bottle in hand. One step. Then another. Chaotic little movements that nonetheless take them closer, bit by bit, to the final precipice, to the edge of roof shingles and the end of sanity. The moment where they are on the roof and then suddenly not on the roof is hard to pinpoint. Was there a breeze that pushed them? Or an unintentional stagger? Or was it a truly intentional leap into the gaping abyss of freefalling despair?

Regardless, it is dreadful, painful, and one way descent downward towards cruel concrete and finality. Yet...there is an awakening after it. This person is now in another world. It is bizarre. It is beautiful. It is breathtaking...and somehow familiar. As though they have been here before. The black trees and little rich fruits that say things like 'EAT ME' and a bottle on the ground that says 'DRINK ME'...memories of a more interesting time when the real world was distant and dreams could be their truth instead.

There is, of course, a cat with an unusually toothy smile and a coat of fur that resembles nothing so much as a purple and violet striped tiger. THE cat, actually. The best cat. The worst cat. It is this person's cat if it could be anyone's cat.

"Welcome home," the cat says in a purr that is more like an avalanche. "It's been awhile."

The above is the prologue that would set the stage of our tale.

Your character--gender and appearance up to you--is the person who fell from a roof. Are they dead? Or are they in a coma? Was it just the end of a day where everything that could go wrong did go wrong and they fell on accident during some self-harmful behaviors? Or was it a truly intentional spiral downwards that night?

Whatever the reason, their consciousness is in Wonderland, a peculiar place where sanity isn't welcome at all and all their irrationality can just hang around being very normal. Rational behavior from the protagonist may be met with hostility from the other characters! They just don't get why anyone would want the awful 'L-word' (logic) here!

The characters of Wonderland--Red Queen, the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, the Tweedle Twins, etc., all represent something about the main character--interacting with them should probably help the protagonist learn about themselves, for good or ill. What they represent can be up to discussion.  The Cheshire Cat will function as a guide to the world, inasmuch as it helps with anything useful. Wonderland is a dark and yet miraculous place that simultaneously can make the protagonist comfortable while also inflicting truly dreadful experiences on them.

So...I'm wanting to play the characters of Wonderland. I need someone to play a protagonist.

I expect this to be story heavy, but a lot of smut is possible, too, depending on how we choose to incorporate it. (A lot of smut could come from Wonderland letting the protagonist be truly uninhibited, allowing for kinks the protagonist could never have explored safely in their real life!) Kinks could be anything from light consensual content with lots of really odd fluff to hardcore non-consensual scenes. Not all scenes would necessarily involve humans--the March Hare and White Rabbit are characters here, after all. I'd like to mess around with the idea of drugs in the story somewhere, too, as I think the whole point of Wonderland is a really mind-altering event that piles on weirdness for weirdness's sake. I'll be playing a variety of genders for the cast of Wonderland, so different sexualities are certainly possible and encouraged. I won't lie, though, I do have a soft preference for your protagonist to be pansexual, but it's not a requirement.

I really encourage anyone PMing me about the idea to listen to the song I linked in here; I want the end-goal of the RP to be either the positive voice winning out for the protagonist, who realizes that 'overcoming' is true courage...or them listening to the negative voice and deciding to use Wonderland to hide forever so that they never have to deal with the consequences of jumping (whether its waking up in a hospital or getting to meet their maker above!).

All of my characters will be 18+. I expect yours to be at least 18 as well. I would actually prefer a character who is a bit older for this, someone who has a lot of life experiences. The more they've struggled, the more they've danced with mental illness, and the more memories they have, the more of a roleplay we have, after all.

I am a slow writer; I work full time, and I do not have a regular posting schedule. I am often a little slow to get back to PMs. I'm looking for a co-writer who can be chill and okay with that. I also don't have a set posting length; I write small posts sometimes. And sometimes I write big ol' chonky overly wordy posts. I like partners who are coolio with that. :)
