Crydee - Raymond E. Feist.
« on: March 16, 2009, 04:47:25 PM »
Many moons ago i started a game on here which was a huge amount of fun. It was based on Raymond E Feist books and was set in a Castle like Crydee.

I am not planning on restarting it as that was a group game but i am interested in doing a couple of 1:1's based on the setting.

I see Crydee (or a different castle) being the place where heroes are born and raised.

I would like someone to play a young person who joins my character and together they are raised in Crydee, meet heroes, elves, defend their homeland, fight the dead and become warriors and magic users themselves.

I am happy to GM up to two 1:1 games and will have my own character to help spin the tale. I am very keen though to hear from others who also have a keen imagination and would like to lead as well as be led.

Please pm me to discuss and I am really keen to hear from others who love Midkemia.

Interesting..... No interest in a non sexual game?

No interest in a game about a fantastic fantasy world?

hmmmmm.

I wasn't entirely sure where you were going with this idea when I first read it (it also didn't help that it takes me over a year to cycle through my library, and I'm currently in the 'E's.)  If you don't mind someone who is a little rusty with the world, we might be able to work something out.

Certainly.  I enjoy a good fantasy setting, and should really give my non-kinky muse a workout from time to time.  ;)

Ive played elves before, i can play one accurately, if you like. or a female magic mage, perhaps similar to the character of Miranda in the serpentwar saga.

On the other game I am starting and hopefully there might be some cohesion somewhere with the two games Oniya is playing as a young inexperienced characters.

Are you happy with that?

Do you want to think of a character and send it through? I am thinking you have left your homeland and I will play a rugged soldier npc that you party up with.

I saw Crydee...

I saw Raymond E. Feist...

I had no choice but to respond.

I'm most certainly interested in participating in this as a 1 on 1 RP.  I'll send you a PM as well.

Hi Oniya

Yes. Thanks for messaging. Would you be interested in a three way game with Kipoc?

Perhaps we could rotate who was GM at any one point? So perhaps we have a three chapter story with three plays and we take it in turns.

Does that make sense and sound good?

I'd be up for that, although I'd have to come up with a decent plot line for my part.

So how about I start as GM with you two as players?

I will NPC my character until Chapter Two when one of you can take my place?

Kipoc?

Sounds goodly to me -

Any ideas of a character concept you'd both like to play?

I think i will wait to see what you two want to play and i will adjust mine accordingly.

Now remember. I want you both to be 18 year old weaklings and as the story progresses then the three will be become mighty wizards, warriors or thieves.

I want to try and replicate the Magician ideas if we can but it will be a completely different story.

All three of us will be from Crydee though.

I shared this with Jester in PMs before:

I was thinking about a young sorcerer-type - naturally in training as we start out.

Name: Peredur Eniad
Height: 5'9"
Hair Color/Style: long, copper-red, he wears it in an intricate braid
Eyes: green
Race/Species: human
Weight: slender, but not bony.

Alright, taking Oniya's concept on board,  here's one I could run with

Young noble's son - either in Crydee as a squire (and thus the son of a distant noble) or the son of the Duke of Crydee.

Name : Lukas (Surname to be determined)
Height : 5'7"
Hair Colour : Short, blond.
Eyes : Blue
Race : Human
Weight : Toned and fit - not muscular as such.

Ok. I will play a female character.

One that perhaps chases after Peredur and Lukas.

It willl also mean i can set the scene before fleshing out my character. But for the time being my character will be:

Name : Sophia Loren
Height : 5'4
Hair Colour : Lond, blond. Often tied in a braid.
Eyes : Blue
Race : Human
Weight : Skinny and almost boyish.
Background: Sophia is a Stable - Girl who looks after the Princess Carline's Horse before she left. She is a keen Archer and often spends much time with Hunstmen.

How about we set the story in Crydee just after the Tsururanni invasion has finished and Duke Martin has left for the second time after hearing of Arutha's "death".

I was thinking of having Fannon having our two young heroes get a message to Kulgan in the Duke's abscence....

How does that sound?

For my reference, which book does that fall into?

It sounds like a good plot, good chance to get these two out into the 'real world'.  Will we be trying for an actual post order, or just take it as it goes?

I think its Darkness at Sethanon.

Glad you like the idea. It seemed appropriate that a young nobleman would escort the magician. Perhaps there are two notes.... We shall see.

Post order? I dont mind. I think we just need to have good manners if someone is away for a day?

Just something I like to be aware of when dealing with more than one player in a thread.  It saves on misunderstandings.  :D
