This is not your typical end of the world scenario, or is it?

You dont quiet remember how it happened or where they came from.  Yet what you do remember is one day a storm, no the storm, came rolling through your town, city, campsite and the lightning that followed it seemed like hell. Some called it the rapture, others marked it as alien invasions.  Yet what you know about the events is that the lightning seemed to open a rift that let creatures of nightmares through.

The world around you, one budding and prosperous, lay in ruin.  A landscape like the zombie movies you always watched.  Yet the monsters you see are a lot worse. You hunker down nightly in shells of houses or buildings, hiding.  Your only friend being an old ham radio that you found that someone rigged to he solar powered.  Voices scutter across the waves calling for help, sometimes screams of pain, sometimes tears of others lost like yourself.  Yet the worst is the days there is nothing but static.  There is some when you do find a friend or friends on the other end. Often talking each other to sleep and keep one another sane. Yet meeting up never seemed to be an option due to the horrors of the world.

Traveling to and from to survive is slowly becoming mundane, and when all hope seems lost.  A beep comes across the radio.  Salvation from nightmares, only if you can get to the location broadcasted!  Do you and your radio friends have what it takes to finally meet up and get to safety?

Radio waves is a free form idea id like to do via discord yet ok with forums.. I'm looking to take this on as a solo or small group (3 to 4 players including myself).

I'm looking to play opposite a "trap" character who, if possible will be of thr emo/goth genre.  Giving reason to why they maybe never met up?

I also thought it may be interesting to possibly play opposite a "monster girl" maybe she came through the rift also and may have information from the other relms?

All characters are open to discussion though.

Its a pretty straightforward premise. Will the survive this new world? Is the safe haven actually safe? Does it exist?

Thanks for looking!
“The Doctor: This is bad, I don't like this. [kicks console and yells in pain] Never use force, you just embarrass yourself. Unless you're cross, in which case... always use force!
Amy: Shall I run and get the manual?
The Doctor: I threw it in a supernova.
Amy: You threw the manual in a supernova? Why?
The Doctor: Because I disagreed with it! Now stop talking to me when I'm cross!”
