Hello everyone I'm thrilled to be here, hoping to get some rp going, so here is some basic info and ideas. I will update this thread as I think of more things (and hopefully get better at formatting).
Please feel free to DM me or reply to this thread if you have questions!

IMPORTANT UPDATE: I am not looking to rp for the moment, as some things have come up and I don't want to get overwhelmed since this thread led to two ongoing roleplays already. I will bump this thread or update when I am looking again!!!!

About Me

* 31,  she/her, call me Glitter :)

* I’m mostly interested in romance RP, but I know chemistry doesn’t always work out, and I’m very cool with things going a different way.

* I am not comfortable writing with anyone younger than 21.

* I don’t necessarily use faceclaims, and when I do, it’s never anime face claims.

* I play characters of all genders, but I might refuse to play a m/nb character if I’m already playing too many of those, since I slightly prefer to play f characters.

* When it comes to romance, I’m cool with every possible gender combination. Bring on all the queer content.

* On the topic of roleplaying sexy times: I’m not a fan of writing smut for its own sake, it has to have a character/emotional component. When I do write smut (because I do enjoy it when the mood strikes me!), I’m not a very graphic erotica writer, so if you’re more into the “hard stuff”, I’m probably not the partner for you. (I will say, however, that I get more comfortable the longer I rp with someone, but I never do erotica right away. Sorry!)

* Please have a look at my wanted plots below and DM me if you’re interested. No commitment, we can discuss things a bit and then if you decide you’re not into it after all, that’s fine. Communication is key. 

* As you’ll be able to tell, I’m really into characters in positions of power. And healers apparently.

Wanted Plots

The King and the Healer (Taken)

The King is a ruthless conqueror, whose armies sweep across the lands to claim cities and regions to his banner. He has magic and loyal followers on his side. To all, he seems untouchable.

But the King has a secret. He suffers from brutal chronic pain from many old injuries, and if said injuries are not tended to by a magician with powerful healing abilities, the King cannot fight. His last healer was assassinated, no doubt by someone who wanted to weaken his image and his power.

Therefore, his most trusted advisors set out to find a powerful healer in the last cities the King has conquered. The healer is not given a choice in the matter, and they are sworn to secrecy: they are to tend to the King every night and morning, and they will need to travel with him as his war continues. The relationship may be contentious at first, but then hopefully evolves into something more.

I would love to play the King, but I’m open to playing the healer if you want to switch it up!

The thief and the healer

This takes place in a city overrun by crime (I’m picturing a fantasy-ish city, maybe in the style of Ketterdam if you’ve read Six of Crows.) In one of the neighborhoods where gangs fight for power, there is a clinic that’s considered a neutral ground, in which works a healer that tends to members of all organizations alike, all for regular payments from each gang leader.

One of those gang leaders, though, seems to stop by very often, perhaps nursing a little crush, or simply enjoying the healer’s company. This involves several late nights where the healer patches up the criminal’s wounds by candlelight, and mayhaps a plot where an enemy goes after the healer, and the criminal is hellbent on revenge.

Open to playing either role! I would like to play the healer for this, since I am doing this thread off-forum and playing the thief on it.

A surprise child (with bonus crime + tragic romance)

Again, I picture this in a fantasy crime city, similar to the setting from above. This involves a middle-aged crime boss or some kind of shady authority figure (maybe the leader of a thieves’ guild?) having at least partial control of the city after long years of fighting for it.

Their hold has been unchallenged for a while now, until a mysterious teenage troublemaker starts to give them trouble, either by targeting strongholds or pulling various pranks that embarrass the organization. It doesn’t take long for the criminal to find the youngling and imprison them, and they're all ready to teach them a lesson- until they realize this is their child, born from a woman they once loved but left behind for a reason to be determined via plotting. (Maybe a classic “i’m a criminal with nothing to offer you?”)

Needless to say, this isn’t romance, but some parent-child fun/angst! However, it would be neat to bring in the mother too, and for whoever plays the child is willing to play the mother as well in order to maximize angsty interactions with the crime parent.  (which I am very willing to do, if the Crime Parent character appeals to you.)
