Hey gang! I'm in the mood to write some fantasy about exploring a culture with very different norms and taboos surrounding nudity and sex. Now, since this is Elliquiy and I love smut as much as anyone (more than many, probably), those norms will likely come across as very liberal to us as residents of modern Earth. However, in this case, I'm not looking to write an anything-goes libertine free-for-all. I don't want this to be just an excuse for shameless public nudity and sex on the part of our characters (though I'd like for those to happen); I want to really put some thought into this fictional culture we're developing, figure out what rules and taboos they do have when it comes to the body, what their social codes are like in other parts of life, what they believe in, how they make their livelihoods. While I like the idea of them being unashamed about nudity and sex, I want to emphasize that that's not all their society is about, and examine what that might look like.

What I'm picturing, as a framing device and overall structure, is that my main character is a foreign ambassador sent to liaise with this culture we'd be primarily focusing on. While she'd be far from an innocent virgin herself, I think, her own people are rather more reserved about their bodies and their sexuality in general; she'd have heard about how things are different among her new hosts, but that's not necessarily the same as being prepared for it, y'know. Your main character (also female) would be a local, someone my main ends up getting close with--perhaps they're living in the same household, perhaps they're working together, perhaps just friends, whatever. That's not to say I want all the burden of developing the local culture to be yours, though; besides these two main characters, I'd like for us both to play other locals on a scene-by-scene basis, and to collaborate OOC on fleshing out this society and its people. While my main character's experience adjusting to things could serve as an ongoing thread, I'd be happy to also focus on relationships between other characters, and what they get up to. Although I'd like for both our main characters to be women, I'm totally open to featuring male side characters in both sex and relationships as well.

Setting-wise, I'd love to skirt away from the ever-popular medieval western Europe/Tolkien pastiche with this. I'm thinking something more ancient world, bronze or iron age, and aesthetically drawing as much as we can from cultures outside western Europe--I'd love it if most or all of the characters weren't white. I'd kind of like all the characters to be human, and for this to be the sort of setting where any non-human sapient creatures are very much somewhere else, not the sort of thing our main cast would be familiar with. If you'd like, though, I'd be open to making the definition of "human" a little more flexible in this world, to allow for some more unusual features on characters.

I know it's not much to go on right now, but if what's here sounds interesting to you, feel free to drop me a line! :-)
