Venus v. Mars [Interest Check]

In an alternate universe that mirrors our own. In a futuristic timeline. Mankind developed on planets other than Earth. All men evolved into existence on Mars. All women evolved into existence on Venus. The beings of Mars were known as Martians, while the beings of Venus were known as Venae. The two planets discovered space-travel simultaneously. Space was where the two races met for the first time, and the Venae were not impressed with the Martians bull-headed desires to conquer their planet rather than come to a truce. The two planets waged a galactic war, putting their best pilots against each other. The wars lasted for years until an alien race from another galaxy, known as the Xtras, interjected themselves into the battle. Both Martian and Venae ships were destroyed by the Xtras. Other ships were sent spiraling into space, and others crash-landed on an unexplored planet called Earth.

This story is about two ships: one Venae and one Martian that have crash-landed on Earth. The Martians have only ever interacted with the Venae in combat, and are unfamiliar with peaceful matters. Survivors of the crash will encounter each other, and will eventually have to learn to work together in order to survive Earth. Earth is currently in a state of ruin. Vegetation has prevailed and mutated animals are prevalent. The ruins that cover the planet are old modern civilizations. Fallen skyscrapers, abandoned metro tunnels, etc. What is strange is finding old posters depicting beings that resemble Martians and Venae together.

The two races must learn to come together and repair their ships. They will eventually learn that through love for one another, a latent power is awakened. A power that may be strong enough to defeat the Xtras. By combining the technology of their two ships into one, they will create a super weapon capable of destroying the enemy, but they must still deal with the second battle to come. The battle that waged before the Xtras even emerged. The battle between Venus and Mars.

You can be as creative as you want with the cultures of Venus and Mars such as both having different languages and creating their banners.
