Writing Sample!

"The Wizengamot recognizes the defendant, Invidius Selwyn. You stand accused of the torture and murder of Narcissus Selwyn by means of the Cruciatus and Killing Curses. How do you plead?"

The eighteen year old Invidius, with hair that looked soft like silver and hollow eyes with thick black rings underneath them, said dully, "Guilty."

There was a commotion among the court.

"Guilty? Do you understand what the sentence is? At minimum, you will be sent to Azkaban for life. Are you sure this is your plea?"

"Yes."

Remember the plan. Remember the plan. Remember the plan, Invidius thought to himself desperately, his thin body shaking as he felt the presence of dementors nearby, his black robes feeling too thin against the cold of such creatures even if their coldness was just in his head.

"All who find Mr. Selwyn guilty?"

More than three quarters of the hands were raised, lead by Barty Crouch first and foremost.

"Not guilty?"

A few of the court put their hands up. There were not many. Invidius could not blame them. The case looked very open and shut, aside from a few hard-to-explain details, such as his wand going missing. It did mean they could not be one hundred percent sure he was the one who'd done this...but there were no other suspects. Frankly, Invidius was surprised any of them thought him innocent.

The Dark Mark on his arm felt like it was burning, though it hadn't burned since the Boy Who Lived had vanquished You-Know-Who.

"The court verdict is clear. Guilty, and a lifetime sentence in Azkaban."

Invidius tried not to cry as the dementors came to take him away. He had to stand tall. Be proud. He was a pureblooded Selwyn, by god, and he would walk with dignity!

Remember the plan, or Narcissus died for nothing.

So as you might have surmised, I am looking for a Harry Potter RP! The OC character I wrote about above--Invidius (I like to think this is what he'll look like when a bit older)--would be my character! I am looking for someone to write an OC who is sentenced to Azkaban at the same time as him.

The tale would revolve around how they survive in Azkaban, whether or not they are actually guilty of the crimes they are accused of, and include them breaking out of Azkaban. If they are both actually Death Eaters, then maybe their goal in the 90s is to return Voldemort to power if they can break out. If they're both innocent, maybe they want to find a way to clear their names. If one is guilty and the other is innocent, perhaps what was once a prison friendship could quickly sour into them becoming enemies! Invidius would be sentenced to Azkaban at the age of eighteen. We can start the story right after sentencing or we could start it some time after both OCs have been in Azkaban together.

I'm not sure what all sexual content I want for this (if any), but I'm classifying this as Extreme because disturbing non-sexual elements could be included in the story. I do tend to write male dominant characters or non-con aggressors, so that's how Invidius probably is if we were to include sexual elements. I don't care what the gender is of my RP partners, and I don't mind whatever gender you choose to play (though if you play a trans character, please do so realistically and not with anime fetish elements).

I don't tend to have a set minimum posting length or posting frequency, so if you do, I might not be a good fit for you as a co-writer.

One thing I want to mention: I really want psychological horror included as our OCs deal with the dementors. Like that's my big 'must include' for the tale.
