In the vast Multiverse there exists a world that is home to legends. Heroes whose names are heralded throughout all existence: Superman. Batman. Wonder Woman. Green Lantern. The Flash. But one day, they were gone. And in their places were heroes from other worlds. Other Earths. It is up to these heroes to defend this world and solve the greatest mystery in all reality. It is up to…

My latest concept for a DC Comics game takes us to Earth-E, a world populated by a multitude of super-heroes. Here they are all DC Comics creations. The heroes of the many imprints and acquisitions (Quality, Charlton, Fawcett, Wildstorm, ABC, Milestone, Impact! and etc.) exist on their own worlds. Then something causes the DC heroes to vanish and be replaced by counterparts from another world. An obvious example might be Captain Marvel for Superman. These “outsiders” must now adjust to their new home, protect it from their counterparts’ enemies, and find out just what caused all this. Their otherworldly nature will eventually draw them together. They must also deal with Earth-Elings who are understandably suspicious of these newcomers.

If interested let me know both who you wish to play and who will be replaced, as well as any questions. Anybody from a DC subsidiary is available as well as original creations in DC media, such as Sara Lance. One odd anomaly of the “crossover” is people remember the missing heroes but their secret identities seem to no longer exist. Likewise the outsiders are new arrivals but they find a form of their home lives exists on this world, such as versions of their supporting cast. Lots of chances for interesting roleplaying scenarios, such as perhaps Black Vulcan adjusting to Black Lightning’s grittier world. There is a Big Bad but there’s plenty of adventure before getting to the endgame. And then… who knows? Return home or stay on this new world?

(plants flag in the ground) I claim this land for New Jersey...

Interested! Can't wait to see what people have in store!

Cool, any idea of who you'd be interested in playing and replacing? I was planning on portraying Miss Masque (a now public domain golden age character used in the Terra Obscura comic and have her take the place of the Human Target, as they're both masters of disguise who risk losing themselves in their assumed personas.

Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers)...but I would play it closer to the comic book version of Captain Marvel. Carol's personality is more established in the comic books and she is not all-powerful. With her warrior mentality, I think she would be a good replacement for Wonder Woman.

Unfortunately, she wouldn't work as Marvel doesn't fall under the DC umbrella. I'm looking for characters from companies DC acquired/ licensed such as Quality, Milestone, Fawcett, Wildstorm, etc. When i mentioned Captain Marvel in my initial post I meant the Shazam one as he was originally a Fawcett Comics character. So maybe someone like Isis, Mary Marvel, Zealot, Fairchild, if yer looking for a Wondy swap.

Oh! I misunderstood. Still interested. No problem, give me a moment.

Caitlin Fairchild, replacing Power Woman

Promethea would absolutely count as a DC property AND a Wonder Woman pastiche.

If golani uses Fairchild, would Nubia be allowed to sub for Wonder Woman?

Catlin Fairchild, replacing Power Girl

Fairchild would be cool, just a couple things... that she (and any other teenage characters) are at least 18. And that any pics of her (and again any other teenage characters) be of them as adults. So in Fairchild's case, New 52 stuff is good because she was an adult in that version but the Wildstorm look of a high school sophomore in shredded clothes... not so much.

Nubia's a mainstream DC creation, which I found out years after seeing her one time in the old Super-Friends comic and wondering why she wasn't used more. She just looked cool. But alas obscure DC is still DC so not allowed, although if you play Wonder Woman's sub she might be looking for her sister.

I should add that since Earth-E is it's own world you're free to smoosh concepts from various versions of the character you'd be playing and the one you'll be replacing. For instance with Miss Masque from the original version, the one from Terra Obscura, Dynamite's Masquerade, an Antarctic Press version... go crazy.

Would Debra Winger’s Drusilla count? She used the Wonder Girl name, but was a character different than Donna Troy. What about Tina/Amadonna, “The Girl From Islandia”?

Nightshade (Captain Atom's co-star) or Phantom Lady could be a replacement for one of the Bat-family.

Hmmmm... Dru I'll allow, There was actually an Amazon character who appeared once in the comics named that but the two are otherwise so different I see it as more the writers just grabbing a random name than adapting her. I really dig the idea an older Amadonna as she's the more unique creation.

Those are both really good, I even contemplated playing Phantom Lady in Gotham for my character. To really make her less DC one could use her blue costume from the legendary Matt Baker version. And Nightshade as her original super-powered spy dressed in a cheerleader skirt persona could be fun for someone.

I’ll call dibs on The Mighty Isis, replacing Zatanna!

Would Icon work?!?

Or even Shazam if he were African American?

Orval Wintermute

Couple of questions. it's other imprints and not just other Earth's? I realize that swapping Kal-L and Kal-El would just be lazy, but would someone like Breach who was supposedly Earth-8's Firestorm analogy work?

Would Amalgam comics work as an imprint?

Icon would definitely work as Milestone is a separate company from DC and the whole Fawcett universe is up for grabs.

No because Breach is still a DC Comics creation. This is about characters that DC acquired or have licensed the use of being thrust into the DC Comics world. So alternate versions of DC characters don't fit that, including Amalgam. Sources that do fit the idea: Wildstorm, Quality, Charlton, Milestone, Impact, ABC, Fawcett... I'll even allow characters created by TV studios originally. The concept is that these characters are outsiders, as in from outside of DC, that fall or have fallen under the DC umbrella, taking the place of the familiar and iconic DC characters.

Alas I feel like this idea is a little too niche and hasn't generated the interest level to make it feasible. Thanks and apologies to those that did chime in. I do have another idea cooking because I'll get a DC game if it's the last thing I do! (cue maniacal laughter)
