More - A Tale of High Stakes Robbery

  You've been here before.  A subdermal layer of society, just out of sight for the basic and clueless plebs on the Surface.  It's full of money.  Rivers, even oceans of money, all controlled by the most ruthless white collar motherfuckers ever born.  A clandestine, minute-to-minute bloodbath where only the strong can survive.  And not even many few of those can manage it for long.

  The Criminal Underworld.

  Of course, you've only scratched the surface.  Maybe you were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a guy who's cufflinks were worth more than your house.  Or maybe you got a glimpse the girl he was with, and the subtle nod he made before 8 guys in suits put you in a stretcher.  Or maybe you are that girl, and you're hooked on the money and power.  It doesn't really matter - something pulled you in and now you're stuck here.  It's a fact of life.  Once you're in The Underworld you never get out.

  So the question becomes, what now?  You're a nobody, and that means you're already on borrowed time.  At this rate you'll never even get a whiff of what the Underworld can really offer.  Unless of course you had some crazy luck, I'm talking a once in a life-time, do-or-die opportunity to work directly with one of the heavy hitters.  Impress them?  Hell, impress their enemies?  And suddenly you're somebody.  Suddenly, people are lucky enough to catch a glimpse of you.  And the real big guys, the kind the media won't even print the names of, are watching.

  What if I told you I could make it happen?  Right now.  What if you and I stood up, walked down the hall, and met a Heavy Hitter.  You can say no if you want.  I'll be honest, my friend is about as scary as they come.  No white collar either - just sheer, gilded monstrosity.  So if you say no, okay.  But friend, let me be clear: this really is your once ever, do-or-die opportunity.

   What'll it be?  You want to go talk to a friend of mine?



The Plot

  In this story, a noteworthy member of the Criminal Underworld builds a team of unknowns to perform high profile robberies.  You will play the role of one of those unknowns.  Generally, this upper-level crime boss picks from a pool of young malcontents, low-level criminals and entertaining deviants.  This person is sometimes less interested in building an effective team than they are in causing high-octane chaos, or in using a batch of expendible adreneline junkies to send a message.

  These unknowns have a chance to impress a legitimately terrifying member of the Criminal Underworld.  A feat which may lead to becoming a legitimately terrifying criminal themselves, and all the pleasures and thrills that come with that.  But, that's not the only opportunity on the table.  Characters may be secretly approached by other interested parties, who have their own agendas and their own offers to make.  The unknowns will have to choose.  Who wins, who dies, and how the story goes is up to them.

  There's more.  There's always more.  As you get deeper into the Criminal Underworld, you may encounter things that aren't exactly human, and things you aren't exactly prepared to know.  But the truth is, well, you'll probably never make it to that point.  This is a game where life is cheap, alliances are fragile, and where there's a deadly edge between breaking a deal and keeping one.  Expect treachery, violence, and chaos.  Expect your characters to suffer and to die.  Your new Boss expects nothing less.



The Players

  I'm looking for about 5 or 6 Unknowns.  I ask seven things from them:
    - Your character is a human living in America between 2010-2020.
    - Your character is familiar with the wrong side of the law.
    - Your character has never had their big break.
    - Your character has a reason to work for a crime boss like this.
    - You yourself aren't afraid of your character being betrayed, arrested, hurt or killed.
    - You yourself are willing to stick with the game, knowing your character will almost certainly die if you leave without telling me.
    - You yourself want to have fun!

  Beyond that, the rest is up to you.  Let's see if people want to play before we roll out sheets and templates for characters.

  I'm also looking for one person to play the Crime Boss's Lieutenant.  This will be a special character that has enhanced weapons, knowledge, influence and skills.  Someone who's known The Boss a while, and who I will privately RP their conversations with.  Until the Unknowns gain a certain level of trust, the Lieutenant will be the one giving all orders, messages, rewards and punishments to the Unknowns.  Meaning there's a chance the Lieutenant shouldn't be trusted.

  Depending on the players, the Lieutenant might be someone's secondary character, or The Lieutenant might be on the ground running heists with the Unknowns.  We'll cross that bridge when we come to it  In addition to the above, I ask the following of this player:
  - Your character must be someone capable enough to deserve their position.
  - Your character must have a good long-term relationship with The Boss, even if you're secretly working against them.
  - You yourself must not mind spoilers, and be able to keep secrets.
  - You yourself need to be especially active in the game, as you'll be the point of contact for the rest of the players.

  Other than that, go nuts!  There's some additional bennies I'll toss your way, and I'll discuss all of that with players who are interested.  Worse comes to worst, I'll field an NPC, but I really like the idea of having an underboss that might skew the truth for their own ends.



The System

  The gameplay will be mission oriented.  After recruitment, your team will be given a target and asked to work together to coordinate a heist.  These targets will usually be multi-level buildings, sometimes consisting of skyscrapers, bunkers, warehouses, banks or air traffic control towers.  All of them will have some form of security, which will have to be breeched and evaded to succeed.  The game will also have freeform side threads just for people to hang out, win some races or get into a bit of trouble themselves.

  Death is a real possibility in the game, and players need to accept that their characters are doing extremely dangerous work in the service of an infamous homicidal maniac.  There is a deus-ex-machina kind of cushion, just so the game doesn't become a killing floor.  But that shouldn't be counted on - I want players to feel that "high-stakes" I mentioned.

  I want this one entirely Free Form.  If your character is good at something, specifiy it on your character sheet and maybe explain why in your backstory.  I'll be keeping tabs to make sure you're faithful to it.  Any other weapons, resources or skills will be acquired through RP.

  This is an LGBTQ Friendly Game, which I feel a little silly for having to point out.  Ya'll be what you what and respect each other.  If I do find anyone unable to do that, The Boss will show up to kill their characters using only the most hilarious level of violence.



The Setting

  Welcome to San Ortigas.  It's got everything a redblooded American could want.  Surrounded by beaches, steep hills and dense forests, San Ortigas is a sprawling metropolis.  And like any great city it's got places to shop, places to live, places to work, places to sin, and places to hide what you're doing.

  Each district has its own rules, as well as its landmarks and points of interest. Working for the Boss means you'll eventually need to learn how to exploit the local turf no matter where you are, and those districts will be described in detail to help you do so.  I've fleshed out a good deal of the city already, but I'm putting the finishing touched on that information while we see if this gets any interest.



The Boss

  Your characters will know this person as Old Machete Fingers: an especially violent individual who made a fortune trading - and using - contraband weaponry and machinery.  As the trade routes solidified, Machete Fingers started using them to move drugs, cars, priceless art and even people.  The established black market moguls weren't too happy and tried to have it stopped by way of assassination.  Machete Fingers replied by apparently hunting them down and butchering them to the last, and with a literal battle-axe.  And that was just the start.

  Things today are calm.  Old Machete Fingers sits at the top of an empire, full of lavish parties and high-powered street races, underground fights and discreet clubs.  There are secret, roving expos where you can buy anything from Aztec Treasure to your next-door neighbor in chains.  People don't remember how much of it was built on carnage - on the sheer amount of blood one person was capable of spilling.  There was a time when the whole Underworld thought Machete Fingers literally couldn't die. 

  Times do change.  The question the hungry ones are asking is, have they?

  Well, pretty much all of it.  This is going in the Extreme Section, so if it's not breaking E's policies or your local laws, why not?

  I would only ask that you add tags your posts.  Like "This contains extreme gore" or "trigger warning" or "ravenous anal ahoy," something like that.  If you don't want to do that, feel free to put things in Private Messages so long as they don't advance the plot.

Now for the disclaimer -- my experience with group games is limited and not especially positive.  I attribute it to (a) trying to amass too many characters so people are dropping out as new people are joining even before it gets started, and (b) -- well, one of them I tried to be the GM and I lacked the time and computing power in more ways than one.

Physical Desc: Cherry is actually a rather petit female standing at just 5'5 however you would never know to look at her as she is always wearing killer heels. While on the small size in height Cherry makes up for this with every other feature she has large breasts and a heart shaped ass with plenty of squeeze to it. Cherry keeps her midriff flat and has defined muscle on both her arms and legs. Her skin is a beautiful light coffee colour, her eyes a deep luxurious brown. Naturally Cherry has beautiful curly hair but she often straightens it, the young woman wears a variety of jewlery .
History: Cherry was born in a back ally abortion gone wrong, her mother was some drugged up, boozed out creature who scrounged for money using what little assets she had. After one to many drinks and an unusually high concentration of drugs she did it with out protection. Well four months later and mom felt life moving within. Well she tried everything to get rid of the little shit bag herself, falling down stairs, boiling hot baths, even rummaging around with a pin and making a bleed. However little Cherry wasn't going anwhere. Finally dead beat mum got a lone from a lone shark and went to get a back street abortion. No questions asked no questions answered. Mum died on the table and Cherry became the property of lone shark. Oddly enough the man who she always called Uncl' Tom was extreamly loving and brought Cherry up to the best of his abilities.

His abilities just happened to include training in grand theft and burglary. Some bank heists and a little pick pocketing along with all the learning she needed to get by in life. Cherry started her criminal life at ten years old, at first she simply tagged along and slowly over the years she was given more and more responsibility and while the heists were often successful she was never given the credit for them.  Tired of being an unknown underdog she wants to do d a new crew who will help her make her mark. She also has dreams of becoming the bosses lady love.

Advantages: Áine is quite skilled at distracting people and is great at deceiving people and other interpersonal skills. She is incredibly flexible, is skilled in acrobatics and has an incredible pain tolerance.
Weaknesses: Áine has no shooting skills and has limited hand to hand skills. She has been trained be submissive and has a hard time resisting the will of others.
