By 2049, all known Mutant supported Schools have been destroyed by one private or government group or the other. It seems as though the fabric between mutants and non-mutants has reached a point of irreparable damage. There has been a wish for safety for all parties involved in the mutant underground. So, a new school has been erected in the vastness that is known as the Pacific Ocean. It is off the islands of Hawaii, only accessible from a boat or plane. What appears to be nothing more than a Resort getaway, appears above the water. Concealed beneath is a home, a school, a base of operations for all who have gifts viewed as abnormal or, mutant. This is the first year, the grand opening of The Academy of Extraordinarily Gifted. An invitation has been sent out to all Mutants around the world. This is one more chance for a safe refuge, a place to learn and grow together. One more chance to make the world a better place for mutants and non-mutants to live in peace.

The services of the A.EG Ferry is available for picking you up from the Island and transporting you to the surface resort. Present your Invitation to the representative at the front desk, from there you will be escorted down to the school. (Representative will be NPC)

What are we about?
Enjoying writing, having fun. X-men.

Where are we located?
This group is in Extreme: Small Groups. No one is required to participate in any NC or extreme scenes. However, in the event that there are those who would like to play out such scenes, they have the freedom to do so. Tags/warnings should be used for any possible triggers.

How many Characters May I play?
Let us keep it a two-character minimum for the moment. Should there be a need to change it, I will consider it.

May I play Canon or relatives of canon Characters?
Let us address Canons first. You may indeed play canons if they make sense. However, we are looking into the future with next-generation, where most of the originals are likely either retired or have been gone (deceased) for some time unless their mutant ability is something like that of Logan aka Wolverine, who's healing abilities slows his aging process, however, it is not indefinite. The healing ability deteriorates over time, so even beloved Wolverine will eventually die from old age. Also, if you are to play canons keep in mind, other players may want to connect with your character. I leave this among the players to make connections but I encourage you to have an open mind and not get upset with someone if they request to play a niece or even a child of the canon. If you prefer to not do that, then be polite about it.

To address relatives of canon characters. You may play these, again if it makes sense. Also, you will have to provide a short family history and family tree, However, if a player is playing a canon character, it will be up to you and that player to discuss details if and how your characters might be related.

Parentage

Because it has been mentioned that cannon xmen can be used as a family, we want to be clear. There will not be ten or more of the same kind of character running about. One or two is enough. As in a couple of siblings or cousins. Everyone can not be fathered by wolverine / Gambit or mothered by Jean / Rogue, for example. So, there will be a list presented as Xmen are claimed as family members. If you wish to use a parent that has already been taken or if a player has chosen to play a canon you will be put in contact with the players and you the players talk it out. Do not forget the mutant gene can also be passed through a bloodline for years before presenting itself. Just because your character is a mutant does not mean their family is. Or at least, they would not have known about it, unless they had been tested for the gene.

Rules

We are all adults here. We should all act as such. So the rules are simple. Stay to E's rules of conduct. Respect one another. And if you can not have a mature mentality to behave like a grown-up, this is not the game for you and you will be asked to leave. Also, if power or godmoding is seen to be happening, I will step in. So please be mindful. Your character is not all-knowing and all-powerful. They have weaknesses. As a side note, please remember that this is just a game. It does not matter how well versed you are in xmen lore and history, you will not come into this game with the idea and attitude that you know more than the GM or every other player. Some people are not as well versed and that is okay. Become a bully and I will ask you to leave. At the same time, if someone is being the bully to you and breaking rules in doing so, please inform your GM and or Staff. I can not read your mind and may not catch every little thing. You have to inform me of what is going on.

Jordaine was born in a small town, after his parents, Kurt and Ororo were married. Both he and his twin sister, (Jenelle Jordana Wagner) were raised and taught at home because sending Jordaine to school and out in the world was not really an option, as he took on more of his father's traits while his sister took more to being like their mother. Needing to learn more about himself and his abilities, his parents have decided that it is a good idea for he and his sister to attend the new Academy for The Extraordinarily Gifted. It couldn't come at a better time, considering the...incident this past summer.
