Return of the Evil Ex 

Sounds like a sequel, but it's not.  It's an idea that (unlike the wife in the story) won't go away.

The wife did go away (probably) and is now returning, hence the word "return" in the title.

Now it's up to us to fill in the blanks before we play.

The basic premise with many possible variations.

Why did she leave?  Did she tell him why?  Did she lie?

Why did she return?  What does she tell him?

The "necessary" parts:

- The female being in control in control in some way.  Did she discover the joys (and usefulness) of whips and chains, or is psychological manipulation more her style?  Is he allowed to wear clothes, or does he sleep naked in a cage? What about a chastity device?  Does it deliver shocks via remote control?

- The husband didn't do anything to deserve it.  He didn't beat her, have affairs, or gamble away their life savings.  If he deserved the treatment he'll be getting, that takes away all the appeal for me.  That doesn't mean he has to be perfect.  Maybe he couldn't satisfy her in bed.  Maybe he didn't make enough money.  Maybe he didn't mature in the relationship as fast as she did.  Something like this is totally okay as her reason for leaving.

- No smoking.  Totally yucky turnoff.  It's been stated elsewhere for anyone looking hard, but I don't want to leave it to chance.

All the usual things happened - life got less exciting, marriage got more boring, her friends were a bad influence.  She decides to divorce him.  He is less than cooperative.  Being unduly influenced by (a) her best friend, (b) her new boyfriend, or (c) her greedy lawyer, she warms up to the idea of totally breaking him: emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially.
