This is my bump for the month of April.

If you're looking for a fantasy role play where you can freely add to the story however you like; freely build characters that help you expound on the story; add depth; and just bring some interesting plot drama, then this is the game for you. We have so many spectacular writers in this. I am very proud of this game and how it has been moving so far. A good story, however, can never have too many people. We still have some characters with dry feet who haven't gotten into the water yet. Writers who are interested in taking on roles players have open to immediately give them a connection, feel free to inquire. But yes, we can never have enough people. The players run this story. The GM doesn't drop any events or anything like that. Players are literally moving this game like a traditional role play.

If you are interested in joining this game and need ideas where to start, let us know. I say "us" because again, I may be the GM, but everyone here has a plot contributing to the overall story we're weaving together. All of us can help you come up with an idea to jump in if you don't already have one.

To be consistent with the timeline, the oldest a dhampir can be is 24 years old?
If they are older, they were born before The Blood Agreement which I assume means they were kept secret in Lankenua, since vampires also hate them?

Unlike other vampires, Adrian Salt has built his power from his trade, rather than his viciousness or physical might. He is known throughout Terra as 'The Dealer', a charming and rather mysterious vampire capable of procuring items, information and even people, should his demands be met and his rules be followed. Each deal is stipulated through a contract, which Adrian details in a ledger, and keeps on his person until both parties are satisfied. Adrian will make deals with vampires, dhampirs, and humans alike, as long as they can afford his price tag. There are, however, a few souls in Terra he will not cross, no matter how good the deal. Though his reasons are a secret, he does keep a list with the names of such people. Currently, there are three names.

General Description: Adrian Salt has been a vampire for over three-hundred years. While he could have easily let himself go, and rely solely on the unnatural allure of his race, Adrian believes that his well groomed appearance is an integral part of his business model. He is tall, fit and clean shaven, not because he enjoys combat, but because he is prideful and vain. Over time, he has learned to sew his own clothing, as it allows him to make as many secret compartments as he pleases. Despite being a vampire, there is never a drop of blood on his garments. He sees blood as a means to his power, and treats his private feedings with grace and discretion. He rarely drains his prey dry, unless a contract stipulates him to do so.

Personality:
　　Fearless - Adrian is afraid of very few things or creatures in Terra. Fear only gets in the way of completing his goals.
　　Clever - Adrian is very astute. He not only prefers, but enjoys, outsmarting anyone else who requires his talents.
　　Polite - Adrian treats everyone with the same amount of dignity, regardless of their race, background or past transgressions.
　　Particular - Adrian has a strict regime for himself and his deals. Any persons, objects or information he acquires are treated with the utmost care.
　　Independent - Adrian is a survivalist, and has no formal allegiances. Make no mistake, Adrian doesn't have friends; he has contracts.
　　Selfish - Adrian has many goals and desires, but he will only make a deal if it is worth his time and effort. He will not volunteer for anything.
　　Secretive - Adrian keeps many secrets. They are his favorite form of payment. This does not mean however that he is at all trustworthy.
　　Passive - Adrian does not participate in acts violence, unless they are necessary for a contract. He finds no pleasure in dirtying his hands.
Likes: Secrets, favors, a completed contract, power, traveling, pleasantries, Blue (his familiar).
Dislikes: Cheats, liars, violence, not being paid, unfinished business, uncleanliness, bad smells.
Psychological Quirks:
　　Twitchy - Adrian is incapable of staying still. At ant given time, different muscles in his body are twitching. The twitches appear most often in his fingers and neck. He cannot control them, so he often hides them
　　by playing with small objects in his hands or pockets. Some days, for reasons unknown, his twitches are worse than others. If his twitches are particularly bad, he will stroke Blue's fur to ease his embarrassment.

Backstory: Oh sweetheart. You'll need to offer Adrian something first in game if you want to know any of his secrets.

Weaponry: None.
Gear:
　　Finery with Many Pockets - Adrian takes great care of his appearance. He wears form fitting clothing, with many pockets and hidden compartments for transporting acquired goods.
　　Handwritten Ledgers - Adrian always carries at least one, black leather notebook. Each one is filled with ruled pages, dark ink, and organized details of his current contracts.
　　Writing Tools - Adrian will never turn down an opportunity to make a deal. In addition to his prized ledgers, he always has his signature dark ink and extra quills available.
　　Tricks of the Trade - Adrian is always prepared for whatever his current contracts demand. They may require additional clothing, satchels, boxes, or, depending on the circumstances, shackles.
Steed: None that are noteworthy. If a particular contract requires one, then Adrian will acquire a steed for transportation, but travel is far simpler when it is just him and Blue.
Familiar: A rather hellish and unsettling black hound named Blue. She is female, and often precedes Adrian's presence. She speaks, but never to anyone but Adrian.

Magic: None of Adrian's spells are combat orientated. He tends to out fox, rather than out box, anyone who crosses him.
　　Astral Projection - Adrian can separate his spirit from his body by entering a meditative trance. His spirit can appear to another person for a few minutes, allowing him to briefly communicate with them over
　　great distances. This magic is very intentional: Adrian can only astral project to people he knows, and he can only astral project to one person at a time. As a spirit, Adrian can only communicate with the
　　person he astral projected to. If there are other people in the same location, Adrian can see them, but they cannot see or hear him. Additionally, Adrian cannot use any of his magic or vampire abilities
　　while in spirit form. Any time he astral projects, his physical body is rendered vulnerable to attacks.
　　Calming Presence - Adrian induces powerful feelings of tranquility in others as long as he is within ten feet of them. This passive ability allows him to keep others calm and pleasant despite threatening or
　　horrific circumstances. Due to this magic, when he drinks blood, he can do so directly from humans or animals without panic or indecency. This magic is also his means of halting aggression towards him.
　　Devil's Sight - Adrian has heightened senses, like a traditional vampire, but he can also see through darkness, making him an expert night traveler. If someone is using darkness to conceal themselves in
　　his presence, Adrian can still see them, even if their darkness is magical. Adrian can see humans, vampires and demons in the dark, and using this magic often allows him to react first in their altercations.
　　Dhampirs however, are harder to spot, for reasons he doesn't understand.
　　Darkest Fear - Adrian can create a temporary illusion in order to distract his foes. To Adrian, the illusion always appears as dark haze, but to the person he targets, it appears as their greatest fear. Adrian
　　never knows what the dark haze becomes, but those exposed to it are often traumatized. He is quite conflicted about this magic, and will only use it as a last resort to get what he wants. This magic can be
　　dispelled with holy light.

We're always look for more interesting personalities to add to the story. As xPeachyPuff mentioned, if you don't know what you want to play but you find this idea interesting, check out the "Connections" thread she has linked. Otherwise, if you do have an idea for a character, then send it my way. If you aren't sure the concept will work, again, send it my way. Avoid powers that control other players' characters against their say-so. I will not allow god-mode powers in this game no matter how you try to spin it. So just stay away from them.
