-This is just an interest check that with enough people into it, I will make a full recruitment -

It's a late night road trip back from visiting a nearby university in the capital of the state with the school bus full of high school kids either half asleep themselves or doing whatever to keep themselves amused for the lengthy trek back, some legitimately interested in their further education although there are probably more excited to 'skip' school for the trip. The two day long trip for the most part had been largely uneventful with business as usual, the snickering and road trip tunes having long died out with the sun dipping down beyond the trees signifying the last leg of their trip coming to a close. With only three hours to go before the diesel tin can would pull into the parking lot of the school to let the students return to their everyday lives without the scrutiny of teacher supervision, even the staff were ready to finally settle in their own beds and tend to their aching legs from the nonstop walking that had been exploring the university campus and what they had to offer. The monotonous lull of the vehicle's whine was the last of what many of those on board would hear, those who in a way would become lucky compared to what would await those who's fate did not end as the bus suddenly careened without warning, the scream of brakes deafening along with the tearing of metal as the bus began to skid along the road in a death roll.

The sound of metal on asphalt seemed to continue on for hours some would vaguely recall though as the dust and crushed glass began to settle the eerie silence that would consume the isolated strip of highway felt potently worse, those who managed to survive left in a state of catatonic shock as though no one could believe what just happened. Eventually those able to move would begin the horrific moves of extracting themselves from their seats, or what had been their seats, until a small group came to stand just outside the now wrecked hull of the bus in absolute panic.Mangled bodies of friends and fellow students remained unmoving within the smoking carcass of the ruined vehicle with it's driver having been nowhere in sight, a truly terrifying prospect as even with a scan along the road sprayed with blood and glass gave little evidence of what had caused the crash or the driver themselves.Only the sight of the the windshield right in front of where the driver had once been did the survivors see the glass looked as though some force had literally reached through to snatch the driver out from their seat, but that was crazy...just what could have the power to do something like that?

Stranded on the lonely strip of highway with nothing but wilderness on either side of themselves the survivors tried valiantly to get some sort of signal on their phones in hope of contacting help, but with no bars and having not seen another vehicle on the road for hours, the growing need to come up with a plan became most important. Many claimed staying with the bus would be the safest option as eventually either another car would come by to see the wreckage, along with the group not returning to the school at the allotted time would make concerned families and staff search; but others could smell leaking diesel and the very real threat of the bus becoming an raging inferno was also great. Not to mention the woods themselves felt as though they were beginning to close in on the small group of survivors with the gripping terror as though they weren't alone growing...

There had been some sign a few miles back though of what looked to be one of those old timey sort of towns that largely became forgotten off the highways, the peeling and decrepit paint having given a few students the creeps. Though there could be people still in the town and even an working phone...even if just passing by made one's stomach drop with discomfort.

Once again this is merely an interest check to see if the idea vibes with people, it would be horror themed with the character's choices either ensuring their survival or their untimely death by the mystery that lingers just outside their sights. It would be fairly sandbox with GM intervention coming with major turning points to move the story along, most likely belonging in the extreme section due to graphic terror and some gore (the levels certainly made to set the mood and not everyone will have to participate if uninterested). So let me know if the idea tickles anyone's fancy as the mystery of what transpired would be uncovered by the group of survivors as they try find their way out of their hellish ordeal.

House of Saberhagen

Are you feeling brutal death and mutilation horror? Or will you be touching psychological horror as well?

Bekah Boo

There would be gruesome scenes and imagery but I can see it being a bit psychological as well, especially considering they wouldn't know exactly what they would be dealing with. Any dealings with violence and death would purely be for those make poor choices along with their own preference to ensure no lines would be crossed.
