Power Rangers: Fractured Grid (Ranger Roles Filled!!!)

Five years ago the Morphing Grid was destroyed by a returning Vengex virus that infected Thrax the son of Lord Zedd. Following this event Thrax used the Vengex virus to infect the Machine Empire and set about hunting down and destroying different Power Ranger teams, starting with Eltar and the Shadow Ranger, then Triforia, working his way across the galaxy and ending his attack on Earth. Without access to the Morphing Grid the Rangers couldn't morph and were no match for Thrax.

While the Rangers battled Thrax, Ninjor, Dr. K, a warrior from Eltar and Mr. Collins went underground and started work on creating a new Morphing Grid in the hope of finding a new team of Rangers to do battle with Thrax and his improved Machine Empire. After establishing a new Morphing Grid and linking it to Eltar's power source and Dr. K's tech (Paid for by Mr. Collins), Ninjor created new, multi-colored power gems that were directly linked to the Morphing Grid and would seek out those worthy of holding the power to defend the world and push back the threat of Thrax.

FAQ:

Races available: KO-35 Humanoid, Human (Earthling), Miranoidian, Animal Man, Eadinoid, Cyborg, Alpha Series, Centourian (Blue Centorian), Eltarian, Triforian, Aquatarian. These come with their natural benefits and drawbacks.

Each shard of the morphing grid will have two colors in it, thus establishing a dual link to the morphing grid. You can pick an existing suit/color or something new. (If you have some cool fan art, by all means use it.)

Your character will not, IC, know what color Ranger they are and whatnot before the first morph but we'll know going in. I'm working on a character sheet for those who are interested but for now these are the things you should keep in mind for the character beyond the normal appearance/personality kind of stuff

Zords: Currently the Morphing Grid is too weak to support Zords but once a team is fully formed and established this can change.

Powers: In their Ranger form all Zeta Rangers will get one or two cool abilities or feature in addition to their weapons. Do they gain a sudden encyclopedic knowledge of martial arts? The ability to control fire? Attack with animal spirits or something? Who knows, the sky is the limit. (Within Reason)

Races: Be from any established planet/race in Power Rangers lore, nothing was left untouched by Thrax. Eltar, Kao35, Triforia, Earth, Aquitar, and plenty of other planets. With that, you may take any established powers these races have. Water Breathing, splitting into three, light telekinisis, stronger connection to the morphing grid.

Color: Any color is available up until it's taken. I'll only be accepting 3 Rangers to start as I want a dedicated team and any supporting character can become a ranger at a later time.

If anyone has interest please post on this page and what color ranger they might want to be, or if they want to be a supporting character. I'll be taking the Zeo-Gold Role as a 3rd or 4th Ranger

Supporting Cast:

Gold Ranger: A warrior from Eltar, the Gold Ranger can power the Morphing Grid at the cost of not morphing himself.

Dr. K- Genius result of Alphabet Soup, she helped establish a new Morphing Grid and creates tech for the Rangers to use.

Ninjor- The creator of the original power coins on Earth, Ninjor creates new crystals and helps power the Morphing Grid. His combat days are far behind him.

Mr. Collins- Once a rich man and founder of the Silver Guardians (witch went on to become S.P.D.) he has many connections and funds the Rangers with a new hidden base and keeps them well fed and cared for.

Galaxy Rangers- One of the few groups of Rangers who's powers don't come from the Morphing Grid, this team battles Thrax in space, doing their best to help others form pocket resistances.

Villains:

Thrax- The Son of Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa, after merging with Vengex to become a cyborg, he destroyed the entire morphing grid and now rules the galaxy with an iron fist.

Vengex- Vengex merged with Thrax and the Machine Empire to create a stronger fighting force that quickly started to take over the Galaxy. He has also infected the original Morphing Grid and given the Machine Empire the ability to change by using the grid.

Machine Empire- The foot soldiers of Thrax's new army.

Name: Vance Caldera

Age: 27

Race: Eltarian

Color: Series Gold

Background: Vance was a survivor of the attack on Eltar and the former Blue Ranger from that world. After a bloody battle the team was split up and Vance was aware enough to take a ship to earth to warn the bulk of the Ranger forces about Thrax's attack, giving them time to assemble a small unit to get to work on a new Morphing Grid.

Personality: Kind, cunning, and self aware, Vance is a strategist by nature and quick witted enough to see the long term in things. Oddly enough this means he doesn't always see short term problems. His worst enemy is himself in some ways but he's always willing to help a friend or lend some guidance as a former and now current Ranger, making him a Veteran in battle.

Sexuality: Straight

On's/Off's: Confident or shy women, open to trying things./Monsters Scat, Vore

Other: Being from Eltar, Vance can supply the Morphing Grid with power at the cost of not morphing himself, this acts as a fail safe in case Vengex tries to infect the grid and destroy the new set of Rangers. He doesn't have magical skill being that he is of the warrior cast of Eltarian's.

Weakness: He's his own worst enemy, constantly getting in his own way and over thinking things at times. He also can't morph when he needs to supply energy for the Morphing Grid. He's slow to make friends due to the desire to not see friends die again but after he starts to trust he is a strong and good friend.

In that case, it's gotta be white.  The lighter shades on the scale were always some of my favorites.  White, silver, "titanium", etc. That, and green is taken. I think I have some kickass concept art stored somewhere for it, too.

I'm somewhat undecided with Ranger powers but I think I'm set on my character being from Edenoi (No royal blood included).  It'd be easy to tie specific powers to racial abilities and all that.

Unless someone can draw, do photo edits, or we just use imagination that is.  I'm honestly more interested in the use of long lost zords that were never seen again but never destroyed and/or converted into another set of Zords.  Maybe, converting some of those to another color or ignoring colors all together.

I just now caught that.  Android character?  Tricky considering one of the enemies is known to hack robots but could make for some interesting twists.  The Alpha series also came from Edenoi.
