The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict [KIDNAPPING] [DOM M WANTED] [M/M]

Gareth Maddox is the Israeli son of a Jewish convert Welsh father and a warm Ashkenazi Jewish Mother. He skipped out of Israel at eighteen to avoid the military service. He's made Mexico City his home away from home, and makes his money through car thievery and petty crime, not that that's what he puts on his tax returns. At four AM one lonely night, while stealing a car, he meets the owner - YC, a Palestinian man who recognizes his accent immediately. In 2006, 140 Palestinians under the age of 18 were killed by Israeli troops. YC's 12-year-old son was one of those children. His wife committed suicide, unable to cope with her son's death. YC fled to Mexico to escape their ghosts. Gareth was only twenty. But what did that matter, when the Israelis tried 12-year-old Palestinians in adult courts? When preteen children who threw stones could end up in serious trouble with the law? No, YC knew that Gareth, though only twenty, would have been a man eight years ago were he born Arab. He's a petty thief now, with no one who'll miss him or know where he's gone.

A chance meeting turns into an unplanned kidnapping. And that? That turns into an exercise for two men in going too far.

Some ground rules:

- Your character is not a terrorist, certainly wasn't and his family wasn't in the Middle East. He never would have been able to emigrate if he was.
- Both Gareth and YC might harbor Islamophobic, racist or antisemitic beliefs, but I ask that you, the writer, not.
- Gareth is hardly a saint. I ask that your character not be, too.
- Plot and smut go hand in hand - both are serving the same purpose. Any smut ratio is fine, because I expect every smut scene to be filled with plot.

Themes: Culture shock. Non-con. Kidnapping. Grief. Racism. Power.

Gareth was a long way from home, getting by on passable Spanish and a lot of heart. He needed a new car, and he wanted to save money. In Israel, that would have been dangerous, but here—the police had bigger things to worry about than a lone car thief, here. And Gareth knew a place he could take it to get it all redone to look legal. They’d do it for free if he brought in two more cars after this.

A small-time thief, he thought nothing of it. He picked the lock to the car with ease. It was a beat-up old Ford but it would do just fine.

Gareth cursed in Hebrew as the car door opened. The alarm blared for a brief few seconds and Gareth dove onto the seat and ripped open the panel behind the brakes. A moment later, the car’s alarm silenced. He just had to hotwire it, and on an old model like this, that was easy.

There was a backdoor to the basement apartment in the alley right next to him. It seemed isolated from the other buildings, thick concrete, must have been built as a bunker in WWII or something but was now just a low-rent apartment for some low-wage fuck. The owner was probably asleep. If not, Gareth could run. Who would come, at four AM?

Gareth's ass in his low-rider jeans hung out the door. He was twisted around to get under the wheel, wedged in as he crossed wires. He spoke to the car in Hebrew, cooing to it like a pet, as he prepared it to be driven.
