My friend Bibliophilia and I are looking for a nicely paced DnD game that will last awhile. I'd prefer a Ravnica game, but I'm happy with anything we as players can make interesting characters for. Something with intriguing NPCs, growing stakes, and a dash of sillyness. Something we can immerse ourselves in; where we can make ties to places and people and feel like our actions matter.

Overall, we're looking for a solid group of people who post reliably. Not necessarily with length, but with substance and character. And if a player can't think of something to post, I'd like them to feel absolutely free to say "skip me for now." This, I feel, is one of the most important aspects of a game. Invested and communicative people are essential for a lasting campaign; especially in a Play by Post where momentum dies quickly and seldom recovers.

I'd also love it if the DM (or we as a group) could come up with a way to make combat faster and smoother, because a lot of PbPs tend to drag there.

Last, but not least, we don't want a smutty game. Sex scenes and romance are great, don't get me wrong, but not when the adventure turns into an ongoing orgy. It'd be cool if we could make a side thread for smut so it doesn't slow us down.

Bibliophilia

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I take it D.O.V.A was too slow, too crowded and perhaps too slow of a pace in most cases? Don't get me wrong, I understand completely but is there anyway I can help make it suitable for your wants?

Oh this isn't really meant as a replacement for DOVA. I just want a small group with a non-smutty game.

Snakes and Lasers

If you don't mind a newcomer DMing for you, I'd like to take a shot at it. I haven't run a D&D game in a minute and could the chance to shake some of this rust off.

I'd have to read up on Ravnica, though.
