After much soul searching I am going to withdraw from this. Honestly I am lost on almost all of these discussions and do not have the time to read everything there is for PF to catch up. I do not know much about the psionics of the game nor about the Various things added here.
I have tried to look over Akashic Magic but have yet to have the time to really delve into it and understand what is there.

From what has been listed as possible characters the only one I have a handle on is the sylph magus. I have no real idea on how the others would work and am loathe to make a character that would not add to the team.

I feel like I am setting in a class where I know the basic math very well and then look at the blackboard and see trig and very high end math. I can see the numbers and various terms but have no idea what the formulas mean.  :o

Right now I do not even have any firm idea on what race/class I want mainly because I do not know all the races and classes and have to read them over to get an idea of what they do.

idk is a very good GM and I wish him and all of you good luck but I am in the deep in here and sinking.  :-) :-)

good luck all have fun!

Quote from: indarkestknight on October 09, 2019, 12:41:21 AMA couple quick points I'd like to touch on.

First, how would people feel about using the Elephant in the Room feat tax rules?
EitR is cool, a bit of a pain to look up every feat before picking it up, but I do like what it dose.

Quote from: indarkestknight on October 09, 2019, 12:41:21 AMSecond, while legendary talents and advanced talents are available to PCs, each PC may only learn one legendary talent or advanced talent on their own without special training. Think of this one advanced or legendary talent as your signature talent. Any additional legendary talents will require the acquisition of either a mentor who has mastered the technique themselves or a coveted tome or grimoire that teaches the talent (read: sidequest or gained from loot). Choose wisely.
This is alright. Won't affect me too much as there isn't much room for legendary talents to begin with proficient talent progression anyways, but I do hope Pc who choose to focuse on sphrer more heavily will heave fairly easy access to this talents. Tying them to level or bab/msb it also a way to limit them.
Quote from: indarkestknight on October 09, 2019, 12:41:21 AMThird, I'll be closing the game to new interest on the 11th. Anyone who has either a sheet or a 10 minute background to me by the stroke of midnight (PST) between the 11th and 12th will have until the 18th, at which point both will be due. If we have at least four players at that point, we will begin that weekend.
I guess I will trie a short bio, but any comments on the sheet so far?

I don't think I know every class in core PF to be honest, definitely no every archetype. Don't worry about reading up on all the options, just focus on something you like.

Greenflame, here is an example. My character would be allowed to have one. What the heck is a Legendary or advanced talent? What are they from? What do they do? How can I choose wisely when I have no idea what they are and or where they are?

Sure I can focus on what I like but not knowing what you all seem to know gimps my character compared to yours. Yours may have a legendary Talent. Because I have no idea what they are mine would not!

They are for sphere characters, they are a way for them to mimic more powerful spells in the base game like resurrection, reincarnation, continual flame, animate object or pregnancy. If you aren't going to use Spheres don't worry about them. Spheres are a whole set of archtypes and classes that sease the loud of spell list while giving more interesting options for martial characters.

Alright, a 10 minutes bio:

Good was defeated, a thousand years of darkness came, went and generation later thing are still, rather average. There is a scar on the words as dhampirs, changelings, tieflings, death touched and others race conder foul elsewhere are a common apiece here. They even have a certain arrogance to them believing themselves to be superior as their ancestors used to rule the world.

Lexara was brought upon this world as a result of a union between a tiefling and a changeling. Dark blood ran vast in her fines and she wore it with pride. Summoning cannon onto her hand she bullied her way through life. Quickly getting used to force or threat there off being a solution to all of her problems.

Still, it wasn’t the way her parent wanted her to act. They were guiding her to becomes a scholar and it worked, in a way. She wasn’t working hard, but her natural talents and trickery she got accepted magical university and even learned to use magical trinkets. However, as the main focus of the accompany was combat and she already had her cannon so she skipped on that part of the training.

GreenFlame

I started thinking about items and I feel like this would be my core items to by:

Gleam Brush (200 gp)
Summoning Orb - Spectral Shadow (400 gp) - if wiki items are allowed
Masterwork weapon for the cohort (+300 gp)

Remaining ~100 gp would be for all the mundane items characters always need. How worried should we be about food?

Kali Coltan <--- Click for character sheet.

Kali Coltan was born to nobility in Ustulav of Glorian. Her parents were at the head of the cult of their city. Studying eldritch and elder god knowledge. Unfortunately for Kali, she was born with a condition. At the age of 16, it would be her passing. Her upbringing was harsh. If she wasn't going to survive to carry on the family name, atleast she could pass on an offspring.

So she was taught and disciplined all the same despite her illness. When she turned 15, her father made a breakthrough. Finding a ritual to reform what she was missing, and also grant her everlasting life. The ritual was done with the cult, and on her deathbed, Kali was imbued.

What they didn't know, was that it was incomplete knowledge and it was how an elder one created a monster out of humans. While it did restore her, it left her changed. Kali awoke with a new pain. Hunger. Her awakening was somewhat joyous. They realized that they did something more than they sought. They may've created a powerful eldritch queen to lead them. And in a true cultic fashion, they offered themselves to her. Regular food wouldn't work, so they ended up offering themselves. Kali became strong, and she very much bought the idea that she was their new dark queen.

Her father was happy with her recovery, but also sought to use her. It worked for a time. She was grateful to her father. But the whispers that were forming in Kali's head started giving way to insanity and rage. Eventually, Kali had enough of her father. Murdering him as well. Kali would only get worse. The knowledge and power going to her head. She's the true queen of this world. No on else.

Eventually, her cult dispersed. Having either fled in fear from Kali, or being eaten by Kali. Her city fell into ruin. Kali, now age 20, was feeling the cold side of everything. Friendless, companion less, and without even any followers. Her power has wrought her little but fear and isolation. And she understood it. Her mind was damaged and still inflicted by insanity, but she could understand the logical outcome. Even understand her own outcome. Her father and the cult effectively indoctrinated her. It always treated her horribly, like a tool to be used. But what does she do now? She wandered. Explored some ruins. Trying to find the answers. If she could undo the effects of the ritual on herself, then she could return to some form of normalcy.

Description
Kali stands at 5'8 height. She is surprisingly light and petite, despite the strength that she commands. Her changed physique has a certain allure to her, but it is most certainly not normal. Black scerla surround her eyes, and her eyes are a crimson red. Practically spelling danger. Her hair is long and unruly, with a silver sheen to it. Her skin has a pink tone. Since her transformation, she has taken to wearing little. She can sprout tentacles out of her back, and thus clothing tends to get in the way. Even her chain shirt has customized holes in the back to allow her tendrils the freedom to maneuver if she summons them. Otherwise she wears baggy pants that hide most of her legs.

If she's wearing a robe and trying to be incognito, Most of these features would be hidden except her face. Even with a veil, her eyes would still hint to something inhuman. So she has limited success trying to pull that off.

Ten Minute Backstory
Step 1 : Important Concepts
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Kali is a frontline bruiser with mutations and animalistic power coming from Aegis, whilst her magical divine power and knowledge comes from Oracle.

Kali is unsure of her place in the universe. She'd be more than astute over finding another world that'd welcome her, or finding information to undo her eldritch form.

Whilst Kali ate people in her backstory, she no longer does it. She is scared to lose herself as well. Kali can sustain upon normal food and sustenance. She's much more in control now than she was when she first became a monster.

Kali will stick to friends like gorilla glue. She's desperate at this point now for companionship, and if they can get past the roadblock that is her paranoia of them viewing her as a monster; then Kali will fight tooth and nail for them and be as loyal and helpful as a friend can be.

Despite her own loyalty and dedication that she'll exhibit towards the party, Kali is extremely chaotic. Influenced by how her life experiences with her upbringing and father and his cult... As well as the chaotic nature of elder gods in general.

Step 2 : Goals
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Not a goal but an idea on her mindset. Kali doesn't know her place in the universe. She needs to rediscover herself. Rediscover what matters to her. And figure out her goals then.

Embrace or Deny what she is. Kali blames her current form over everything she's done. Either Kali rediscovers herself enough to embrace the form and own it and her actions, or she denies it and becomes something else and then owns her actions.

Get the other PCs back home. Kali may not find any answers for herself. But one thing will be definite. The PCs will befriend Kali. And Kali will want them home. Maybe she'll consider going home with one of them, but she's more concerned with them over herself.

Getting back to her own home is a last-ditch effort goal. At least she's more familiar with Glorian and Ustulav if nothing else works out.

Step 3 : Secrets
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Kali knows that she's eaten over 100 medium humanoids. She knows the taste and allure. She won't tell people this. It makes it easy to call her a monster. She won't actively share her evil alignment but that's kind of less of a secret.

Running a blank currently here. I've had ideas like, the voice in her head is actually a helpful one that was also fuddled by the ritual and her insanity. but might need gm approval on that.

Step 4 : Connections
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Laylah (friend) : An elf who is the same age as Kali. She snuck into Kali's while she was bedridden. Conversation alone got them far. Storytelling or hearsay. It was the closest thing to a natural friend Kali has ever had. But Laylah and her parents fled the city just after Kali's ritual had went through. They felt a bad vibe and moved away. Laylah hasn't seen Kali since.

Jorphan Hortan (Hostile) : Jorphan was a mercenary accompanying a merchant through Ustulav. The merchant and himself were attacked by Kali's group. Fleeing and escaping, he eventually found himself going through his own manner of coping with the event. Finding peace and purpose through Erastil, he now is a paladin of Erastil. Viewing Kali as an evil unnatural blight on the world, he'll do the universe justice the next time he sees her.

(Do I need a third friend when my backstory focuses on the isolation?)

Step 5 : Important Memories
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

'I was but a tool for my father' - Kali had heard her father and mother discussing her illness. The father went into a tirade. If Kali wasn't fit to carry on the family name, then she'll atleast produce offspring before she dies. Kali remembers this and it's ingrained in her memory. It fuels Kali's hatred for tradition and family order. As well as lawful in general.

'Kali, our mistress overlord' - When she first awoken as a monster, the cult cheering her name. It was the first time she ever felt important and desired for more than her womb. The pride and power went to her head. It's something she remembers now in a different light. The dangers of peer pressure and group-think.

One night, After Kali lost her cult. She was on the docks late at night, in her abandoned town. The chill of that night was rough, but it was even colder in Kali's mind. Everyone had left. Everyone is gone. This was the result of her power hungry tirade. Even the ones who appreciated her were eaten. It was here she valued the companionship more than her hunger.

I had a few questions while I made my character (and either left them blank or assumed I can, but can fix with small edit).

1. 10 minute background. How thorough? I did post in the secrets part that I had a few ideas that would have to be worked out with the GM.

2. It seems like drawbacks are by GM approval? How about the Paranoid Drawback? (All of my 5 traits are seperate categories).

3. Background skills are on or off?

Alright, so, given the recent surge of players looking for Pathfinder 1e games, I've decided to give this another shot. However, there is presently only 1 open slot.

If I receive any applicants, I will make my selection one week from today, October 11th. Applicants do not have to have a full sheet ready by the deadline, however, having a completed character sheet and/or 10 Minute Background will most likely work in your favor.

Currently we have a party of 5, as follows:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
• CG Female Drow Cleric of Eilistraee from the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting
• TN Female Tiefling Vizier from an unnamed homebrew world
• CE1 Female Human Oracle/Aegis from Golarion
• NG Male Dhampir Summoner (Synthesist) from Golarion
• LN Male Skinwalker (Fanglord) Brawler (Brutal Pummeler)/Monk (Scaled Fist) from Golarion

1 Player has expressed the intention for the character to go through a redemption arc

I've been itching for a PF1E game to play in, and I am very much interested.  There's so many others that have already posted though, I hope I can get my concept on deck in time for consideration...

I had some thoughts that mixed elements of Counter-Earth, Hawk/Dragon Riders of classic pulp, and the exotic Orientalism of the Temeraire books.

Quote from: TFcommando on September 24, 2019, 04:14:32 AM
Will it have the John Carter-style clothing and armor style of "little to nothing?"  Even if there's no sex as part of the main game, will there be ample nudity? :)

I was curious about this too, as there was a 3PP feat once that was called Cinematic Nudity (I think?), where the less you wore, the better your AC was, based on your Charisma score bonus.

Right now, you are the second person to have expressed interest in the last remaining slot, so I'd say your odds are as good as they could be, short of being guaranteed!

I think allowing Cha to AC as a feat would be a bit too high powered for my tastes, however, there are a selection of class options that allow you to apply your Charisma (or Wisdom, in some cases) to your AC. If you want to lean into the pulp-era side of things, I highly advise you check out the archetypes linked below!

Quote from: indarkestknight on September 22, 2019, 05:25:32 AMPaizo released a small number of obscure archetypes in the Worldscape comic book that may be suitable for use in this adventure, based on the likeness of famous pulp heroes. The archetypes are as follows: Jungle Lord (Tarzan, the archetype), Sword Devil (Red Sonja, the archetype), and Warlord (John Carter of Mars, the archetype).

Likewise, there are options for monks and oracles to gain Cha to AC, and the Sister of Rapture 3PP class offers a conditional Cha bonus to AC vs enemies that would be sexually attracted to the character.

I hope that answered your question!

At 2020-10-05 23:07:28, Mister Ugly (uid: 56095) rolls: 3d6k2a6 Result: 17

At 2020-10-06 20:59:11, Rhynarion (uid: 38946) rolls: 2d6a6 Result: 8

At 2020-10-06 20:58:52, Rhynarion (uid: 38946) rolls: 2d6a6 Result: 11

Big oof on that, basically takes out all martials and most spellcasters with 2 8s.

Well, guess I'll see if I can make it work before the deadline.

Good news! You get to reroll. What you rolled was 2d6+6, which is naturally going to be a little less forgiving than 3d6+6, drop the lowest die result.

Also, here are my set of rolls for your character...

13, 17, 15, 17.

And while I'm at it, for the other interested parties...

Mr L

I'm interested in throwing my hat into the ring for this game. I'm thinking an Armigar that focuses on throwing weapons while getting close for melee combat. I love the Bladewalker archetype, to be able to teleport around the battlefield. So even if I don't go with a thrower, it'll lend to some great tactical choices, like flanking the big bad, or going to help a less durable ally. I'll poke around at a more solid build idea.

I don't have particularly strong opinions one way or another on rations. Does anyone feel particularly strongly one way or another?

Quote from: Miss Eleanora on October 08, 2020, 07:19:44 PM
I am pondering making a character based around mounted combat and was wondering how viable it would be for this? I've always had interest in that sort of archetype.

From the Legendary Planet Players' Guide:

QuoteClasses which receive non-magical companions, such as cavaliers, druids, and even the new general class by Legendary Games, can also work well in this campaign. Despite an initial separation from their companions, most of the PCs should quickly reunite with these cohorts, or find suitable replacements as they move from world to world. Because of the wide variety of creatures on other planets, the selection of possible companions may vary quite drastically from location-to-location. For this reason, it’s best to avoid building a plan for a character which is too heavily tied to a specific type of companion.

indarkestknight

Friendly reminder that in two days or so, give or take a few hours, I'll be making a call about who the sixth member of the party will be. If you'd like to be considered, please have something up by then. Again, while you do not need a character sheet and/or 10 minute background, those would certainly help, and I will need to have some idea who your character is.

Looking forward to seeing what people come up with!

To be honest I would rather not worry about it. It's needless book keeping and cost of living is laughably small when one considers amounts of wealth D&D characters tend to have.

Anyways I mostly finished with my sheet. I may look for some smaller useful items, like rope, hooks, kits etc.

Okay, so here's my effort at a Ten-Minute Backstory along with some brief (very brief) notes on RP and stuff.  Please be gentle and don't poke too much fun at the idea, it was an experimental though that I wanted to try out...

Han Ming-Fu <--- Click for character sheet.

"You are the child of scholar-warriors, servants of the Empire.  Though the Empire is no more, our family's legacy lives on through our service to worthy lords and causes throughout the lands...."

Han Ming-Fu grew up enthralled under the stories and tales of his ancestors; valorous tales of drunken poet swordsmen, cunning ghost-hunters, and loyal mystic detectives of the state.  With a child's insatiable nature for excitement, adventure, magic, and the incredible and fantastic beasts that roamed the former Empire of Tian-Xia, it was quite natural for him to latch onto each story and tall tale as if listening to holy scripture, for his family was part of a wandering troupe of performers and storytellers.  Once a line of "Chun-Tzu" noble retainers, serving only the worthiest of rulers and statesmen, they had fallen on hard times over the generations since Tian-Xia had fragmented.  There were not always personages demonstrably of worth, not always causes that called out for the ancestral blades to be polished and used for the good of all under Heaven and Earth.  So the clan had become preservers of knowledge, lorekeepers, storytellers, and performers, entertaining the people in each of the lands they travelled to, keeping the memories of the brillant past alive.

The Fool

Ming-Fu grew up keen of mind, talented in all the scholarly virtues and lessons, as well as strong and quick of body.  In adolescence, the youth soon embodied what seemed to be the glory of past generations reborn anew.  Admired by all, he was thought to have great potential and would grow up to be a good leader of the family someday.  But the young man had a spark of that unfortunate flaw in character that plagues good families, an adventurous spirit and thirst for what lay beyond the horizon.  Always his mind looked beyond the landscape, to the future, to the past, never truly focusing on where he was, or what he was doing.  He was a childish dreamer.  And Ming-Fu had a child's nature which inevitably led his future askew...

Not long after his coming of age ceremony, Ming-Fu was possessed of the impulse to try out the adventuring life for a bit, just a try -really.  He knew where his family's heirlooms were all kept, how to access them, and which ones had accomplished the greatest of deeds for his ancestors.  Sneaking into the carefully kept treasures, he selected what he thought he needed to begin his glorious future.  An ancient spear-lance, wielded by his great great grandmother in a battle beyond the Heavens against the demons that threatened the tumultuous Ox-Keeper's river of milky stars.  A suit of brightly lacquered armor that had been gifted to his uncle from a grateful general of Ling-Sheng in appreciation for saving his life from assassins.  And finally, an ageless polished orb of unknown composition, fabled to be the preserved egg of a creature of the Heavens… so old the shell had turned into milky-white marble, veined in pale blue.

With his pilfered treasures in hand, a knapsack filled with food, snacks, toys, and treasured dog-eared copies of his favorite fables and tales, Ming-Fu merrily slipped away from his family's encampment.  For three days he travelled unmolested and carefree, thrilled at having now embarked upon the heroic adventurer's path.  However events were disappointingly less exciting nor very much like the stories Ming-Fu had been led to expect.   While he had his opportunities to perform a number of small good deeds; there had been a sad shortage of farmer's daughters needing rescue, talking fishies offering wishes in exchange for sage wisdom, lion-dogs with eyes as big as saucers and platters, not even cats buckled into riding boots…

Upon the waning of the fourth day however, Ming-Fu had the good fortune to have finally come upon strangeness which perfectly suited him.  Twilight had settled across the highway on which he travelled, and piercing through the gray curtains of evening lanced a beam of luminous blueish-white hue.  Suspended within the shaft of light, struggled a rather portly merchant, calling out for help to all who were in earshot.  Being the only other one present, Ming-Fu did not hesitate, but instead leaped into the spotlight.  Grabbing ahold of the stranger, Ming-Fu began to wrestle the hapless merchant down once more, kicking and lurching his weight against the man’s own girth, to bring him to ground.  He had very nearly succeeded at his labor, when unexpectedly his “Ji” spear began to glow, and an unearthly choir-like voice emanated from within the shaft.

“Is it time?  The call has gone out again?  Then my progeny shall answer the summons, for when worlds cry out in need, my kin shall ever answer…  This, my great-great-grandchild, will stand in my stead.  This child will come of age, and take their place amongst my proud daughters to keep vigil atop the crystalline spires of the Gates of Heaven.  She has claimed my lance, and now she will claim my destiny and her birthright…”

Ming-Fu began to feel quite queer and pondered if the adventuring life was perhaps quite as satisfying as he originally imagined.  The light surrounding him grew in intensity, becoming blindingly bright while the force of lift it provided likewise grew in power.  Realizing things were about to become quite out-of-control, Ming-Fu gave a heroic shove downwards and managed to release the portly merchant from the beam, leaving him to give a cry of gratitude even as he fell crashing to the ground below.  As for himself, the last thing Ming-Fu recalled seeing was the road’s surface rapidly growing distant, as he felt himself buoyantly rise at unbelievable speed just as the light seem to blur the edges of his hands and limbs, making him feel tingly as if he was coming apart at the seams.  Then all went dark...

Description
This young human has an awkward and unusual demeanor.  Not in the least bit feminine, her body language and carriage seem to imply a wild freedom and tomboyish upbringing not common to most girls, be they of city or country origin.  The trained eye might notice her stance and footwork betrays signs of training in the sword arts of Tian-Xia.  Pretty in a tousled wildflower sort of way, Han Ming-Fu is typical for a country tomboy in this part of the Empire.  Despite her demeanor the appraising eye can tell even through her thick clothing that this young girl is the embodiment of classical Tian beauty.

Petite but voluptuous in build, she does not conform to the current fashionable Floating World standards of slim and slender beauty.  Rather her curved form and hourglass figure indicate an earthy presence and are reminiscent of old visions of goddesses of hearth and fertility.

She is young, perhaps looking just out of her teens, and only now entering that state of ageless beauty that Tian women are so famed for.  Traces of baby fat are still on her face and body, and she has a girlish softness about her that accentuates the impression of an earth spirit like a classical nymph or dryad.

Her breasts are full and pert, standing proudly off her athletic shoulders and chest, while her abdomen and waist are well-toned and swell out into wide broad hips, the kind that many old-fashioned folks joke about as 'child bearing hips'.  Her posterior is round and full, having a gentle swell and defined indentation like a ripened peach.

Strong thick thighs taper down to dimpled knees and shapely calves, ending with small cutely-flexed and arched unbound feet.  Her arms are slender and willowy, being neither too skinny nor excessive fatty under the biceps.

Her sculpted porcelain-like facial features, particularly her pert button nose, give her a quiet sort of attractiveness, more akin to a wholesome 'cuteness' like a doll rather than the cosmopolitan beauty of a high-society girl.  Her eyes are large, almond-shaped, and are a soft and warm brown hue giving the impression of an exotic sloe-eyed dreamer.  Her hair is a glossy blue-black waterfall of lustrous darkness, cut just about even with the small of her back.

Dressed in her native Tian robes and 'pajamas', she is a petite and graceful girl, favoring garments in soft earth-tones, giving her a subtle doe-like quality that enhances her beauty without seeming loud or bold.  They also blend in quite well with the dark when she needs to slip away from a situation.  Her seemingly only prized possessions are a handsomely carved pipa lute that she wears slung on her back and a weathered old "Ji" polearm wrapped in rayskin and bound with bronze fasteners that hangs from her shoulder sash.

Ten Minute Backstory
Step 1 : Important Concepts

Genre Savvy:
So this character is a bit of an experiment, in both light hearted humor and self-awareness, but keeping thoroughly in character and theme.  The idea here is that Ming-Fu is TOTALLY devoted to the storybook heroic ideal, particularly in how it’s presented in fables, stories, and archetypical fiction.  “What Would The Hero/ine Do?” is the binding natural law of how Ming-Fu sees the world.  There’s always three wise ladies to encounter, never two or four.  Politeness is always the way to respond to roadside encounters, hospitality is always graciously accepted, oaths are binding, and animals will naturally talk and dispense either wisdom or provide welcome hearty cheer.  Songs and dance will always make a dramatic scene better.  Back-up dancers and singers, even if illusory, are essential.  Explosions must be dramatically backlit against the Heroine along a slow walk/jog, and buttons must nearly always be pushed, unless a promise has been given not to.  This may sometimes appear like I might be addressing the Fourth Wall or breaking it, but that’s not my intent.   The character is wholeheartedly devoted to the ideal of living a story, that it simply is not even conceivable to resist such behavior.  Hopefully this doesn’t get annoying nor punished for a sense of optimism, I rather hope it accents the RP, rather than take away.

Step 2 : Stranger in a Strange Body

The gender bending as envisioned is meant to less sexualized, and more fish-out-of-water opportunity for RP situations, particularly of a comedic nature.  Much like the beloved Ranma ½ of the nineties, it’s situational.  But harem humor, multiple-fiances, perilous-light situations, and the like are things I imagine would be interesting to RP with the character.

Step 3 : Stranger in a Strange Land

Likewise, the genre here of Legendary Planet is classic Barsoom and pulp.  I love the opportunity and I am open to adjusting and working with you in flavoring this to the perfect library dustcover feel of how this campaign should go.  I do think it’s hinted at in my backstory that my ancestor has perhaps been here before, and I am merely the next cycle of a dynastic wheel that turns again…

Step 4 : Goals
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

The classic Hero’s journey is good enough for me.  Find myself, find my destiny, find the innocent in need of rescuing, get the castle and kingdom, live happily ever after…  Ming-Fu is of course, going to be wandering in search of answers and heroic opportunities, after waking up here in this new world.  Her goals are remarkably short-term.  Stay alive.  Stay free.  Stay happy.  Get rich and famous trying all of the above.

Step 5 : Destiny & Metagrowth
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

OOC I have some meta goals, notably some magic item creation that I want to craft what I imagine are thematic items for use later on, and taking leadership to represent a powerful cohort beast of some sort, one that I can befriend  and ride.  I’m just going to list ideas below, keeping this simple as I am trying to not get too ambitious or verbose.

  • Banner of the Scarlet Rose https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/a-b/banner-of-the-scarlet-rose/
  • A Dragon or Drake or some sort, perhaps a Wyvern variant that levels up with class levels after maxing racial HD?  If I am lucky enough to get a True Dragon, then one of the Eastern serpentine dragons would be awesome…  Otherwise, being PULP as this is, I’d be happy to have a Battle Cat or Giant Eagle of some sort.

Gonna note here that I'd be fine with dropping the idea of keeping track of rations, as its mostly just busywork and we already now at level 2 have so much gold that its a non-issue.
