Player name: Bibliophilia
Character Name: Alice Dodgson
Age: 22
Sexuality: Omnisexual
Gender: Cisfemale
Fairytale: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
Job/Career: Freelance Underworld Courier

Personality: Alice is a laid-back, easy-going, hedonistic stoner girl who spends her life in the pursuit of the next enjoyable or interesting sensation.  Her experiences have left her with an unflappable serenity that can either be soothing or frustrating, depending on the circumstances.  Having her light up, lean back and tell you everything will be fine can be beneficial when you're losing your shit over a test score, but her doing the same when your world is crumbling around you is a lot less helpful.  She gives fairly good advice, however, though she never seems to take it herself, but one can hardly claim she's not happy.  Others might strive for things like wealth, success and love, but Alice seems perfectly content to stay right where she's at; enough money, plenty of drugs, sex when she wants it and no one to tell her how to live.

Bio:  When she was 7, Alice followed a funny rabbit down a hole and into a world quite different from her own.  From then on her life was drastically different, and she wouldn't have it any other way.

After her first two visits to Wonderland, she frequently made trips back there.  As she got older, her understanding of the world and its inhabitants shifted.  Eventually, after hearing that her father and mother planned to marry her off to one of her father's shipping partner's son sight-unseen, she decided that she no longer cared to remain in the 'real' world.  So, she took one last trip to Wonderland with the plan to remain there for the rest of her life.

Turns out, time runs strange in Wonderland, which is hardly a surprise, so Alice stopped aging when she was in that nonsense place.  She went in at the age of very-nearly-nineteen, and emerged many, many, many years later to a world completely changed, precisely the same age.  Everything was different, but she'd left her pleasant land of madness and tea because things had begun to fade away.  At first it was simply small things that seemed to have been misplaced, but soon it was whole species of creatures and then the familiar friends she loved.  Terrified that she would lose the whole of her home, as well as everyone in it, she decided to leave to seek out help after the Vale of Tears had gone missing.

The trouble was, those who might have once known what was happening to Wonderland and how to reverse it were no longer around.  They'd gone off somewhere and she had to go looking for them, traveling through a world that made little to no sense to her.  At least she was used to that bit.  But, when eventually Alice found herself in Darkwood City, where she understood all the fanciful creatures and magical beings that once lived all over had been driven to, she discovered her connection to Wonderland had been severed.  She couldn't go back, and she had no way of knowing if the horrible disappearance of her beloved home had stopped, been reversed or, worse, continued on until nothing was left.

She was stuck and eventually she had to set aside her fretting over Wonderland to get on with her new life in Darkwood City.  Her ability to travel quickly between two points, avoid detection and to handle any situation without losing her head made her ideal for carrying illegal goods, money and sensitive information for the city's underbelly.  She never asks questions, never seems to have any desire to peek at what she is delivering, and her ability for perfect recall comes in quite handy sometimes.

Qualities/Faults:

Through the Looking Glass - Alice can travel between mirrors, stepping into one and out of the next quick as a flash.  Once there was a world behind the mirrored surface that she could visit when she wished, but it vanished some time ago and now the mirrors are all just conduits to one another that she has the unique ability to traverse.  This requires, however, the use of special white rabbit stickers that serve as 'markers' for her journey, otherwise she runs the risk of simply becoming lost in the void space behind the mirrored surface.
Eye of the Storm - No matter what chaos, madness and nonsense is going on around her, Alice can endure with aplomb.  This gives her an unexpected insight most of the time, somewhat like a remote observer who can see beyond the messy surface of the situation to the root cause or the logic beneath the illogical.  This makes it hard for others to distract her in conversational gambits or via the use of diversionary tactics.  She can see quite well through your bullshit.
Recitation and Memorization - One might not expect a girl so keen to trip out on hallucinogenic mushrooms or nibble on sweet edibles to have a steel-trap memory, but this girl has it.  Once called photographic, now referred to as Eidetic, it pales in comparison to Alice's impressive recall abilities.  Not only can she remember anything she sees, hears, smells, tastes or touches, but she can relay with perfect clarity the fine nuances and details of any scene.  She can tell you what someone told her ten years ago exactly, and also perfectly describe the room they were in, what the person's tone of voice was and every minute detail about their expression, outfit and body language.

Eat Me - Alice likes drugs.  She generally sticks to hallucinogenics and THC, but there's not much she hasn't tried at least once.  Her hedonism doesn't end there, however, as she also loves to eat, drink, gamble and fuck.  Her hunger for new sensations, and the unapologetic return to those she particularly enjoys, can get her into trouble.  She's seen as selfish, spoiled and reckless in her near fearless chase after the next thrill.  Not only that, but even in Darkwood the cops have to be seen as putting in some effort, and the high-as-fuck blond girl carriage-surfing at 3 am can't just be ignored.
Tumbling Down Rabbit Holes - As one might expect, Alice has a very active imagination and this can lead her to slip into daydreams that consume her attention until she is snapped out of them.  Paired with the pleasant daydreams and trips of fancy are nightmares that turn her sleeping hours into a horror show.  Some might suspect that its these nightmares she tries to self-medicate away with her mushrooms and petit fours laced with THC.  They wouldn't be wrong, either.  The nightmares occur unpredictably, sometimes once or twice a week, sometimes as many as once every night, and sometimes she can go for weeks without them.  There's no reliable means to prevent them, and she always wakes in an absolute terror, sometimes accompanied by shrieks of fear.
Who R U? - The caterpillar asked her this one and she couldn't answer him.  She still can't.  While she's perfectly happy with her life at the moment, she knows that she's not quite right.  There's something wrong with her, and her contentment is likely built upon sand that will erode with time to send her whole world sliding into an ocean of her own tears.  Sometimes she briefly catches a mental glimpse of the truth lurking behind the pretty, brightly-colored landscape she's constructed in her mind, but she pretends not to see it.  Eventually the jabberwock will come for her and she'll have to face the truth that might drive her mad.

Extra: White Rabbit stickers infused with a bit of Alice's own inherent magic, so they glow like trail markers in the mirrorland void.  The words 'Curiouser and curiouser' tattooed on her left hip.

Ons/Offs - Character: Alice's ons are extensive and most can be covered by the phrase 'She'll try anything once, and often two times just to be sure she didn't fuck it up the first time.'  Her hard offs are the player's hard offs, the link for which can be found in my signature.  However, Alice is willing to get a bit more adventurous than my offs might suggest, she's down for knife play that doesn't involve actually cutting flesh, and loves risky sex in either public places, or in places where sex might be dangerous, such as the railing of a building balcony or while driving.

Wolf, love the King/Straub call out.  It took me a minute to figure out where I remembered the line from.

Ivory Dawn

I've got an idea for either a Belle or a Cinderella, if this is still open.

BlueEyedBard

It's still open! Do you want me to put one of them on hold for you?

Ivory Dawn

Yes please? Hold Belle, I think. I've got the clearest idea for her.

Question before I get too far into the build - are there types of magic outside of potions and inherent magic? I'm thinking like scrolls and spellbooks? If not, that's cool, but I had the idea that she runs a bookstore with a sideline in illegal magical texts.

Either way, she may have a little cafe in the shop that sells drinks (and some of Merlin's illegal potions to those in the know).

BlueEyedBard

There is absolutely magic from books and scrolls and other such text.

I'll go ahead and put Belle on hold for you. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Addition: I just created the Ooc Thread, so if your character sheet has been accepted, please stop by there to say hello and begin plotting with your fellow writers!
Remember, Darkwood is a very self contained city, so it's likely that most people would know of most other people. So don't be shy.

Ivory Dawn

So here she is! Let me know if you want me to make any edits!

Player name:Ivory Dawn
Character Name: Bella St. Clair
Age:21
Sexuality: Pansexual
Gender:Cis female
Fairytale:Belle from Beauty and the Beast
Job/Career:Bookseller/Illegal magic dealer
Personality:Bella is usually friendly, kind, and willing to talk at length about books and stories. But she also is a ruthless business woman, and fiercely protective of her secret dealings.

Bio:The same story you’ve hear thousands of time. A simple country girl, raised by her father, grows up loving books and wishing she could travel. As she got older, her dreams got bigger until she had to leave. Father was on a business trip, and Bella packed her bags and left.

She thought she’d read between the lines of her stories enough to find the Dark Woods. Little did she know they would almost find her. She stumbled through the darkest parts of the forest, woefully underprepared, her clothes tattered and torn, all but one of her bags left behind when she could no longer carry them.

When she all but fell out of the Dark Woods into Darkwood, it was with a sense of relief followed by amazement. The stories were real! Ironically, Bella, who had longed for nothing more than to escape her boring life, couldn’t wait to go back and spread the word. But she couldn’t, and wasn’t that the worst joke of all?

Her preference for books lead her to – with the Mayor’s ‘charity’, of course – open up Bella’s Books and Brews (commonly called ‘BBB’) in the Marketplace. The need to repay the Mayor’s ‘kindness’, as well as her own ambition and love of expensive things, started her down the path of selling illegal magic items. She sells, in addition to all the normal items, whatever illicit texts she can acquire. The café in the shop sells coffee, tea, and if you know how to ask, a few of Merlin’s special brews.

She keeps trying, quietly, to find a way out of Darkwood. It hasn’t worked in the fifty years she’s been there, but she refuses to give up. It doesn’t help that people keep trying to introduce her to Leo Boucher when they clearly have nothing in common.

Qualities/Faults:
(Special qualities and abilities, like flight or potion making, should go here. But nobody gets to be overpowered, so for every ability or quality your character should have a fault. You're not limited to three, but don't go crazy.)
+Massive Intellect- Bella has total recall of anything she has read, and near-total recall of things she has heard.
+Lovely as a Flower- While it works best on roses, Bella can magically enhance the growth of any plant, and direct that growth to entangle or threaten people or creatures.
+Magic Mirror- It isn’t the only magic mirror in Darkwood, but Bella can use hers to look at anyone whose real name she knows (an alias won’t work) and see where they are and what they are doing at the present moment. The mirror won’t show past events, or the future.
-Know-It-All- Bella is smarter than you, and she knows it. Which means she’s very resistant to listen to other people when their opinions conflict with hers.
-Focused on Escape- There’s nothing Bella wants more than to go home. She will ignore pretty much anything else if she thinks there’s a chance she might be able to leave Darkwood and the Dark Woods.
-Books, Books, Books!- If there’s a book or anything written available, Bella will read it, and not stop until she’d finished reading it or she is forced to.

Extra: Bella has a tattoo of a ceramic teapot on the inside of her wrist, and When she gets upset, the tattoo starts to steam. Usually wears dresses, and rarely wears jeans.
Ons/Offs - Character:
Ons: She’d never admit to it, but she likes it rough, especially when things start slow and build up to a frenzy. Bella likes a clever partner, and being teased (despite how much she protests when it’s happening). Loves being tied up (from light bondage to full-on shibari), exhibitionism, and seduction.

Dislikes rudeness, stupidity, and lack of imagination. Degradation/humiliation, scat, vore, gore, maiming, needles, cutting, abuse.

BlueEyedBard

Belle is accepted! I added her to the character thread and the accepted character list. Feel free to drop into the OOC to say hi and start building character relationships!

Bekah Boo

Sorry this took a million years >.<
If I need to change anything just poke me ;3

Player name: Bekah Boo
Character Name: Cordelia Rivers " Del of the sea"| Del for short
Age: 29
Sexuality: Pansexual
Gender: Female
Fairytale: Little Mermaid
Job/Career: Lounge singer
Personality: Bitter| Sly| Sarcastic| Dripping with compliments (For the right price)| Once a hopeless romantic| Headstrong| Secretly sad

Bio: Deep under the sea...a curious and naive mermaid who dreamed of being where the people were; So young, so terribly inexperienced to how the real world actually worked. Bright eyed and feverish to be around the fascinating enigma that were humans Cordelia did not give any hesitation towards dealing with the shady Ursula, a sea witch whom was said to grant a person's greatest wish, even if the price itself came just a steep. Her life in exchange for the chance to amaze the human world with the gravity of her angelic voice, it felt so little in comparison even after the stipulation of finding true love to gain her freedom; freedom from what?Surely with the voice of the heavens themselves it would take little for her heart to be taken by another who felt the same. Her freedom for a voice, how foolish Cordelia had been...had she even considered the consequences, would she have still taken the plunge?

The first year Cordelia had found herself not only on her own newly minted two feet, but among the human kind that she had so longingly wished for, the once mermaid found the harsh truths of reality finally beginning to sink in. The whirlwind of passion burning the young woman so hot she thought little of the grave miscalculation of treading past the dark forest to follow her first love; only to find herself shattered and soon tragically stuck within the darkened city. Ursula had been amused by her little guppy, enough to have already followed and set up a perfect establishment, after all she now had an investment so certainly all that was needed was a stage. Despite how confident Cordelia had been the true nature of her curse was made all the more clear once the tears themselves had long dried, the once mermaid effectively trapped in not only the town itself but as Ursula's puppet until the day she found a true love whom loved her as deeply as she did them; a day that Del had long resigned never to come. As the years passed Cordelia grew from the naive child to the bitter young woman who's sweet voice could turn as cold as the very depths of her heart itself, the fiery red head no longer willing to allow herself to be trampled upon as the defense of a silver tongue has long become her weapon.

Qualities/Faults:

+Siren Song- Del's singing voice is legendary both under the sea and on the land above and is said to have had the heart of the sea long before Ursula's help, although the contract certainly has helped culminate her infamy to larger lengths. Said to subdue even the wildest of beasts, or set the most civil man ablaze with the lustful fire of soul; there aren't many whom can not appreciate the songstress to some capacity even if they aren't willing to admit such. Certainly not everyone can be swayed by Del's angelic melody, which while rare, probably is for the better given there are plenty of others in the sea. Ranging from sweet whispers of a lullaby to a fully embodied serenade Del's enchanting voice can easily pitch to what musical accompaniment she has around her, although if given a preference she does prefer the sultry rasp of seductive lounge as her most comfortable.
+Seductive Allure-With the departure of her once brilliant scales and illustrious fins Cordelia now a days sports the abundant amount of curves fitting her fiery songstress persona; whether this was the only amount of 'kindness' Ursula had in mind is up to some debate. Never the less Del has grown much more comfortable in her own ample skin, enjoying the way eyes often rake along her bowed figure even when she isn't belting out her heart and soul. The often clinging and tight fits of her gowns and other costumes often leave little to the imagination, not that Del minds too much as the bigger the reaction the more enjoyment she is able to feel.
+Sweet Talker- Cordelia knows how to play the part and she does it well, if she needs to cozy up to a patron or butter up someone who has something she requires? The lounge singer will say any and everything in that oh so dulcet voice in order to get what she needs done, although on the flip side she'll wear that darling painted smile while also stepping on someone's throat. Behind the bedroom door of course. Otherwise Cordelia's use of her sugary persona and silver tongue more often than not keeps her in good tidings.
-Broken Heart- A much younger and naive Cordelia's fate had become sealed with just one shattering minute, all the dreamy fantasies and desires she had once so foolishly put upon a pedestal crumbled right before her eyes. Nothing could have prepared Del for the amount of torment and ache having her heart broken would cause, much less how her current future has now played out as a result of her curse tying in such a devastating clause. With every heart break and anguish Cordelia found the curse that had granted her a platform to seek true love a dual edged sword, as each bout of torment brought her golden voice to new heights and become all he more alluring with every newly crushed relationship. Unlike the first case of having her heart ripped from her chest Cordelia has now gained a reputation of being the heart breaker instead, leaving behind a flurry of tears and pieces; some stating she no longer had a heart to break, while others believe Del's intent is more selfish and goal orientated. In Cordelia's mind however the reason was far more simple, breaking another's heart before they broke your's was easier to swallow.
-Bitter Prison-Because of the 'contract' or rather curse preformed by Ursula Cordelia is unable to have right over her existence, the price she is currently paying for having been so delusional to think she could have found true love in her lifetime. With her soul in debt to the sea witch Del along with the cause in effect of her curse uses her singing to draw in patrons to Ursula's lounge as her own personal song bird, doing whatever means the hag requests of her to entertain the more high class customers.
-Selfish Dreamer- Like her broken heart Cordelia's motives have long moved towards looking out strictly for herself and what means she can do to further her own future. As grim as her future may seem Del does dream of a day that perhaps she can break Ursula's curse without the need of true love, so in the mean time she uses whatever assets she can in order to prepare for such a day. Darkwood is still full of secrets and magic alike, as even a whiff of a rumor often has Del investigating instantly, as no means is too much for the once mermaid who would give anything to be free to become her own agent to sing freely.

Extra: Del at some point has to submerge herself in some body of water, that while her tail is long gone the evidence of her scales remain and become more prominent the longer she goes without a "sip". There's somewhat of a rumor as to who exactly broke the once mermaid's heart to make her as bitter and callous as she is now, there's a few theories but as far as she's concerned she'll keep her lips shut.
Ons/Offs - Character: Del enjoys any and everything that her current partner desires, especially getting into bondage and a bit of rough play. Spanking, swats, paint her ass red and she'll squeal happily. Given her position in the Atlantic Lounge there isn't much Del doesn't do, especially if she is requested to, as she feeds off the energy given towards her.

Her offs are mainly just bathroom play|Vore| Snuff; easy right?

Miss Nyx

Sorry for the delay, hope he's to your liking! ;D

Player name: MistressNyx
Character Name: Charles Leigh Cheshire II
Age: 29 Years.
Sexuality: Opportunist.
Gender: Male.
Fairytale: Through the Looking Glass; The Cheshire Cat.
Job/Career: Owner of “The Silver Pocketwatch Cafe”/“Wicked Speakeasy”, Loan Shark/Black Market Entrepreneur.

Personality: Cheshire is, well… he’s a bit of an eclectic sort of fellow. Perhaps a tad on the over-indulgent side. He’s positively out of his fucking mind--but that’s not something you have to worry about, unless he doesn’t like you. He is known as an otherwise charming, suave and cheeky individual, who seems perpetually in good spirits, and has a way of pushing and pulling the people around him to do his bidding. He’s a known troublemaker. He isn’t a stranger to crime, bar-fights or “cleaning up” after gang-activity--mostly when certain individuals call on favors. He sacrifices innocents for his own amusement and entertainment, willfully guiding lost lambs to the slaughter, pitting friend against friend, stealing girlfriends just to turn around and break their hearts. Chesh is known as a jack-of-all-trades in most circumstances, seeming to always be on everyone’s positive side, or in their favor, even if they happen to be bitter enemies between one another. One thing remains true that Cheshire always, always looks out for number one.

There is something positively predatory in the way Chesh collects friends, colleagues and lovers. While he might seem to be the best of friends with you, make no mistake if the day comes where he’ll have to throw you under the bus and vanish to save his own hide, he won’t think twice about it. By this definition, Chesh is something of a sociopath; even with his best intentions he seems to have some deep-rooted personality flaw barring him from growing too attached to anyone, and if he feels his emotional independence has been jeopardized by petty affection or ‘love-sickness’, he doesn’t have an issue cutting off the perceived ‘vulnerability’.

Bio: Before Dark Woods, the Cheshire Cat was an ever so famous resident of Wonderland, the charmingly unhelpful double-agent both sending Alice to her greatest perils and simultaneously aiding her out of them when she was put a little girl.

When the charming thing left finally Wonderland, however, things seemed to grow ever so boring.. So the Cheshire Cat decided to stir up some trouble. He poisoned the Red Queen and blamed it on the Dodo. She recovered, thankfully, and waged war against all the animals of Wonderland. He set fire to the White Rabbit’s house and pinned it on the White Queen’s soldiers, he hid every last tea-cup, and stole everyone’s left shoe… only the left one. By the time they discovered who the true culprit was, Wonderland was spiraling into chaos… and Cheshire had already left.

He arrived in Dark Woods with a vengeance, and a taste for chaos, adopted as a plump purple striped cat by an old tinkerer. After “inheriting” a curious trinket which allowed him to assume human form and a quaint little shop from the miserly old man, who died under most suspicious circumstances (he choked on a grape, honestly Cheshire had nothing to do with it!) he set into play the workings of an empire. He expanded. He built. He made several questionable connections with morally ambiguous individuals such as Jack Frost, the Ugly Stepsister, and Rumplestiltskin… and the birth of “Wicked” soon followed. Disguised on the surface as an antiquated cafe filled with dust, books, old clocks and watches in desperate need of repair, the underbelly of the building was gutted and adorned in finery with each lavish area catering to the whims of those within, be it alcohol, drugs, sex, rock-and-roll, gambling or illegal pit-fights, essentially concocting a safe-haven for the darkest and most villainous of hearts known to Dark Woods all under one roof.

Qualities/Faults:

Stealth Magick; You might notice sometimes that Cheshire doesn’t seem to be all there… he might be a little transparent at times, or entirely unseen with only his disembodied voice purring darkly into your ear. You may see nothing but the shine of his pearly whites in the darkness of flashing strobe lights and dry-ice smoke while he sips a bourbon on the rocks that appears to be drifting in mid-air. Cheshire is a master of stealth magick, gifted to him by ‘the mother of darkness’ as he so fondly puts it. It allows him to teleport small spaces through shadows, to mask himself in darkness, to all but disappear--and at times, he can extend this gift to things in his immediate vicinity, but never more than one individual being at a time in addition to himself.
Persuasion; You might not even realize you want to do it until Cheshire whispers it in your ear. The weak willed and naive of mind fall prey especially easy to Cheshire’s gift of persuasion, which leaves those who speak with him in a state of hyper-sensitivity, euphoria, arousal or excitement. Beware, overexposure to the charm can cause nausea, dizziness, vertigo or vivid hallucinations, in such case Cheshire might treat you to a strong chamomile tea with THC-infused honey.
Shape-shifter; The silver pocket-watch Cheshire ‘inherited’ from the Man on the Moon enables him the ability to shift between a human and feline appearance. It comes in handy when he wants to creep on people. To mask his appearance, Cheshire often rolls in soot as a cat to hide his dark and light purple stripes.
Aversion to Light Work; During daylight hours, Cheshire has a hard time maintaining stealth--he implores a different sort of disguise, a suit and tie and a full roster for real-estate in Dark Woods. All the same, Cheshire is significantly weakened not only to daylight hours but any sort of ‘pure’ forms of magic--well wishes upon stars, true loves kiss, and enchantments invoked until the stroke of midnight might all but neutralize his talents--any place deemed pure, good, or light may make it impossible for Cheshire to move through darkness or disappear.
Charm-Breaker; Its difficult, nearly impossible Cheshire will boast, but his charm aura can be fought against and broken, and it only needs to be broken once the victimized party to seize immunity.
Down the Rabbit Hole; Should Cheshire ever lose or misplace the pocket-watch he would be forced to assume his feline appearance from then on out, unless he happens to cut a deal with a fairy or dabble in illegal potions to assume a human appearance. As such, it is utmost important that he takes good care to keep the watch in his possession.

Extra: He’s got a shit ton of tattoos. He lives in the flat above the Cafe. Wicked is inaccessible to anyone who does not have an invitation, and they may only be handed out with Cheshire’s express permission, sort of like an elusive club. He employs ‘Muscle’ to guard the hidden entrance of the speakeasy.

He has a curious amount of wealth that is questionably his, and he enjoys throwing lavish parties, spoiling his favorite Dark Woods residents, and over-all living a never-ending party type of life.

Ons/Offs - Character: Honestly, Cheshire doesn’t give a damn who or what he’s doing to or with, so long as it’s mostly consensual… the list of things he won’t do is a lot shorter than what he will. Basically if it belongs in a toilet it’s a no and so long as it’s less than seven people, he’ll play.

BlueEyedBard

Cheshire is accepted! I'll add him to the character thread, and feel free to head over to the ooc.

Armphid

I have been convinced to submit a character for approval.  It's all Bekah's doing!  Please take a look and let me know what you think.  The last of his faults is one I'm not sure about, though I like the idea of there being sort of repeating beats of his story that come up.  particularly given a certain potion maker in town and if he ever meets his half-sister...

Player name: Armphid
Character Name: Arthur Rex (true surname Pendragon, currently unknown to him)
Age: 18
Sexuality: Pansexual (inexperienced with any)
Gender: CisMale
Fairytale: Arthurian Legend
Job/Career: None currently

Personality: Arthur is naïve and very much the ingenue; though he has had an education and is book smart, he lacks a lot of street smarts.  He is kind and willing to help out with work of any kind, having had to do a great deal of menial labor during his fosterage with Sir Ector.  He shows respect to both the mighty and the meager, though he expects those of high station to act nobly.  He is bold in action but must less so in social interactions, tending to try to fade into the background and observe rather than do a lot of talking until he knows the parties involved.  That said, if something hits his buttons, he will step up and put himself forward.  Which is not always a good thing.  Arthur also trusts those he considers his friends to a fault and even if betrayed by them, easily forgives, both of which could be used against him by the unscrupulous.  Arthur has a strong sense of justice and of obligation but is also young and open, a clever person could potentially mold or corrupt him.  He is very open minded and willing to experiment with new experiences, though he distrusts most drugs and doesn't like the idea of losing his self-control.

Bio:  Arthur has known no home but Sir Ector’s aged, stout castle and the grounds about it in the forest for his whole life.  The aging knight has told him the story of Arthur being brought there as an infant of perhaps a year old, but the details escape him and Sir Ector could never remember who brought him to the castle or charged him with his care and education.  Still, he knew he had sworn an oath and it was one he would keep!  So it was that Arthur, sometimes called “The Wart,” grew up raised alongside Ector’s son Kay, two years his senior.  He was given an education as befitted a nobleman’s son, in letters and in arms.  He also learned much by observing, of leadership and logistics, of running a household and a business, of farming and of the lives of the common folk beneath.  Sir Ector was not overly proud, so he and the boys would participate in harvest work, repair on the castle or other buildings, teaching Arthur the value of honest work as well as the noble life.

Though he had the same training as Kay, due to his unknown parentage, Arthur’s future was assumed to act as Kay’s squire and eventually his seneschal.  However, that all changed one day when the boys were hunting.  Arthur ran ahead to try and find a bird that Kay had shot and found himself in a part of the forest he had never seen before.  It was older, darker, and somehow…familiar.  Arthur was drawn to a small hill where the trees gave way to an open area surmounted with a large boulder from which protruded the moss-covered shape of a sword.  He moved to the stone almost as if against his will and with a terrible sense of déjà vu.  His hand gripped the hilt and he tugged lightly, the sword sliding free of solid rock as if it were water.  One swing of the sword in the air sent the moss and dust flying off it and beneath it was shiny and strong, as if it had been made only the day before.

Returning with the sword, Sir Ector was greatly impressed and puzzled by it.  He suggested traveling to the city to see if anyone knew of the blade or what it meant.  Arthur had felt a need to move on since pulling the sword as well, a feeling that there was something waiting for him.  So he packed up his few things, was provisioned by his foster father, and is newly arrived in Darkwood City to find his fate.

Qualities/Faults:
(Special qualities and abilities, like flight or potion making, should go here. But nobody gets to be overpowered, so for every ability or quality your character should have a fault. You're not limited to three, but don't go crazy.)
+ Life of Training: Knights are trained in arms and letters from an early age, and Arthur was well trained.  He has a wide range of knowledge in many subjects, though it is not always deep, and is a highly skilled fighter despite his age.  With sword, dagger, bow, or even his bare hands, he is extremely dangerous.  He is also a skilled rider and can maintain a knight’s gear and equipment, giving him a degree of skill in some crafts.
+ Born Leader: Arthur is a skilled strategist and tactician but also simply makes people want to follow him and obey his orders, when he is acting righteously.  Enterprises he leads tend to be successful.  He also possesses a knack for logistics and organizational management.
+ Font of Inspiration: Arthur inspires those around him to new heights.  Both to make more virtuous choices and actions but also to simply excel in ways they never have before.  Those who work/fight by his side are simply better at whatever they are doing than they normally would be.  Someone known for their strength is stronger, a gifted detective becomes brilliant, an average fighter becomes good, a good fighter becomes great, etc.  This even extends to supernatural powers and abilities, those of his allies getting an extra bit of “oomph,” especially when the chips are down.
- Natural Follower: Arthur would have been content to live his life as Kay’s squire, though destiny has other things in mind for him.  While he is a naturally gifted leader, he does not seek out leadership or authority on his own and tends to defer to those he sees as authorities.
- Naïveté: Arthur genuinely expects the best from other people and this leaves him open to manipulation and abuse.  Though the outrightly wicked will become his enemies and not to be trusted, any treachery will still not dim his faith in the inherent good in people.
- Friends to the End: Anyone Arthur considers a friend has a friend for life, even if they cheat, trick, or cause him trouble.  No matter what, even if it is grievous of humiliating, Arthur will forgive a friend what they do to him and will try to overlook things they may be doing on the rationale that as long as he doesn’t know they’re doing it, he won’t have to act.  If their acts harms others, particularly innocents, he is much less forgiving.
- Echoes of the Past: Arthur is the Once and Future King.  He will find certain beats of the past irresistible.  In certain situations, he will make choices and decisions that he may know are bad but he will not be able to stop himself as they are too tightly would into his fate.  This also may earn him enemies who do not want there to be a king in the future.

Extra: The Sword in the Stone – is not Excalibur.  It is very sharp and strong but it is just a sword; however, for those with the right lore or knowledge, his possession of it declares his station and birthright.

Ons/Offs - Character: Ons & Offs Same as player but Arthur is inexperienced and so doesn’t know that he likes most of these things yet.
