“You’ve become unhinged in time..”

The words are in a language you can understand of course, but they don’t make any sense all the same. Unhinged in time.  It doesn’t add up, even with all the things you’ve seen and done in your life before. And you’ve had a pretty extraordinary life. And this person before you, so mild mannered looking and ordinary, how could he even make such a proclamation. That if you go back to your world something is catastrophically wrong, with you, your life, something. That you died in a car wreck instead of living. That your mother married a different man and you don’t exist. That you didn’t go to college and now you’re stuck in a dead end job somewhere instead of a hero. But in your heart of hearts…you know it’s true. It’s a sense, a feeling. An undeniable certainty that until you fix this problem, you’re stuck.

You’ve been called to serve, they say, a higher purpose. Time itself is becoming unraveled. Not in your own dimension, that would be far too simplistic of course. But across the entirety of the multiverse. This time is much much worse then when it happened before. Once thought of boundaries have been shattered into oblivion, opening new pathways between universes long since thought cut off from each other. Dimension after dimension is breaking down, becoming diseased things that infect the next one, and so on and so on. The cause is unknown, so many variables, and so many entities with the abilities. Only by setting things right in those dimensions, will your world right itself.

Others, they say, have been called to serve before. Have sacrificed, have won, and have lost. Some managed to set their homes right again, but others were lost forever. They were all offered a chance though, no more and no less. It is up to you, they say, if you can seize your own chance to set things right for yourself.

You are not alone, there are others with you in a similar predicament, they tell you. You are to work as a team to set the Multiverse right. You are wanderers now, destined to travel dimension to dimension until your own life is set straight, and until such time as you can return home you are…exiled.

This is an interest check regarding this concept. If there's enough, I'll look at posting up a bio sheet, etc. Also, because my clone brain showed in an interest in it, I thought I'd give it a whack.

So, giving this whole running a game here another shot. I always loved the concept of dimension exploring inside of comic worlds and the Exiles. So, here’s hoping there’s interest for it, but with more of a twist!

Here’s the thought, that this will consist of characters not from Marvel or DC, but drawn from Image, Valiant, Dark Horse, Boom, IDW, Zenescope, Dynamite, etc. In other words, all those characters that never have any home for in an RP maybe you could finally have a chance to play it? Vampirella. Rex Splode. Witchblade. The Spirit. Haunt. Best Tiger. You get the idea.

While I won’t limit  people to picking from different universes, if we get to many say Authority members or Wild Cats or something like that, I will put a cut off on it, the idea is a new team drawn from different places.
No OC’s, there’s plenty of characters out there in the Comic Multiverse that can pretty much fill any bill.
Power wise I’d like to keep it diverse and not god like, but beyond that the only thing I ask is you don’
Feel free to flesh out a bit of backstory if you feel the character is lacking a little, but don’t change so much that it’s a completely unrecognizable one.

Foxy DeVille

Hello, I find your idea intriguing and would like to express an interest in portraying the lady known as Vampirella.

Sincerely,  Ms F. Oni

Dragongoddess

I am currently interested in this game but will need to reread it later to make sure I'm on the right page as to what you're looking for.

Kadigan

I appreciate the interest of both Foxes and Dragons. If anyone has any questions or needs clarification, feel free to ask.

Dragongoddess

Ok I do apologize about my tentative interest.  I had to run out and had only had time to skim this before.  But now that I've had a chance to actually read through it, you can label me 100% interested.  Now, I do have some questions such as: Are these characters just normal humans who happened to get chosen to be a part of this group or are there real reasons for this?

Kadigan

Well, they CAN be normal humans, depending on the character you select. These are comic characters after all, and there are some who aren't super human and such like that, but others who do have powers. As for reasons, it really depends on whose selected, where the plot goes, etc etc.

Oops.  I'm sorry.  I must have missed the part that said "Comic Book"

I'm not sure we can handle a team that....stacked.

But in all seriousness, yes Lady Death would be fine, though some of her powers miiiiiight need to be reigned in..she does have a few.

I can understand that. If we choose someone with a lot of abilities is there a max number of abilities they could have?

VonDoom

I'm almost reluctant to ask since the question of vast capabilities already came up, but might a version of Doctor Doom - say, his silver age incarnation perhaps just before Triumph and Torment be viable? That on its own would reduce his magic abilities to rituals and some affinity to and understanding of mystic happenings.

If there's a time broker type of overseer, they might also reset his armor with each jump and prevent him from bringing any tools he constructed along? That ought to reign him in a bit while still giving the opportunity for him to work some science.

El Maligno

Jackie Estacado the host of The Darkness would be playable? And would Iris Shaw the sole female to embody The Crow in the comics could be welcomed too?
