The Quest For the Phoenix Throne

The Empire of the Phoenix is an unusual place. The leylines of magic that flow through it affect the blessed race of humanity in unusual ways. In these lands, only women can wield the power of Magic. Sorceresses wield Magic through sex and pleasure, their latent elemental powers unlocked by either rest or, more quickly, through acts of physical intimacy. When the mind and body reach the peak of pleasure, it awakens a glimpse of spiritual perfection. Attaining that state is the key to restoring mana. A sorceress is trained from youth to embrace one of the Paths of Pleasure. With the many elements of magic available and many factions in the Empire, a number of powerful women are rising. Some championing a wide alliance, others wishing to lead their factions, and still others gathering allies indiscriminate of their factions but all focused on pulling down the corrupt and mysterious Emperor. No matter who succeeds, the land is guaranteed to suffer through an age of death, destruction, slavery, cruelty, and betrayal.

Based on the “Choose Your Own Adventure” game of the same name, this is an open-world story that mixes lezdom, and possible straight femdom, along with high fantasy and erotic magic. Other possibilities include non-slavery lesbian romance or a more typical high fantasy D&D-esque adventure, albeit with plenty of Lust Magic thrown in. There’s a lot of background to this so I would love to explore it. Much of the details can be found in the link above and we can hash them out between us, mostly by creating our characters together. Below are some possibilities of where this idea could go.

The Path of the Void

Not all sorceresses obey the dictates of the Emperor’s Church or his Ministry of Harmony. In fact, many actively fight against the establishment. With sorcery so rare and always in demand, The Emperor created the Maiden’s Charms and the Keeper’s Rings, ingenious and powerful items that bind an impudent sorceress, Joyful Maidens, to another, more agreeable, sorceress, a Keeper. Thus were created the Joyful Maidens. The owner of a Joyful Maiden has complete control of her slave’s sexual desires, everything from their sexual arousal, to their sensitivity to pleasure, to denying or flooding them with orgasms. Bit by bit, even the most intractable magic wielding bitch will become an obedient puppy willing to do anything for her mistress in exchange for sweet release. No matter how violent and depraved.

This is a classic Master/Mistress-Slave relationship. It could be a “new” relationship where YC has been enslaved by MC and must be cruelly put in her place. Alternatively, YC could be very well under MC’s thumb thrilled at obeying her every command. Since they’re both sorceresses they could be a pair on an adventure either for personal power, wealth, exploration, or for the fall of The Emperor. I also don’t mind if the roles are swapped with MC being the submissive Joyful Maiden and vice versa.

The Path of the Sun and Moon

There was a sorceress who was the epitome of charm. There wasn’t anyone who didn’t love having her around, especially since she did everything that was expected of her. In fact, there was nary a woman, or even a man, who was immune to her charms. What they didn’t know, was that this sorceress was a subversive. Building a coalition across the many factions with one goal: to bring down the rotten Empire and seize the Phoenix Throne for herself. Her mass of lovers aren’t there just to indulge in her Paths of Pleasure (that rejuvinate her mana whenever she receives or delivers an orgasm) but will be her pawns in her game.

This could either be a (F/FFF or F/MF) harem story or a dark F/F love story as the two sorceresses use their feelings with one another to help build a power base. Like the Path of the Void, this story could lead to a lot of adventure or deep intrigue as they navigate the halls of power.

The Path of the Stars

Despite their reputation, all Joyful Maidens are not attack dogs completely sexually controlled by their Keepers. On rare occasions, it’s the slave that has the power. Manipulating their Keeper into doing what they want, embracing the Path of the Stars ensures that they can only gain their mana back when aroused and denied a climax, a perfect job for their Keepers who, quite literally, hold that power in their hand. Unsuspecting power players don’t pay much attention to the obedient little Joyful Maiden pet but little do they know just what she actually controls despite the deeply submissive desires her true slave provides in the bedroom in the dark. Soon it will be her Keeper sitting atop the Phoenix Throne...with every one of her strings being pulled by herself.

This is a story that’s the flip of The Path of the Void where MC is the slave and YC the mistress… on paper at least. If you’re interested in “bottoms from the top” and vice versa, ie a ‘submissive’ that’s calling the shots on their ‘dominant’, this is the idea for you. I’d love to explore this power dynamic on top of all the other fun of sexually charged high fantasy.
