Hello, Elliquians!

This is another one my one-off ideas that I am advertising to find a partner for. Before you get too far into reading this though, please keep in mind that I have no intention to make this a "traditional" request thread. I'd like to keep this simple and centered around this single idea. If you're interested in getting to learn more about me, what I write, and how I write, please feel free to check out my post history, or check out my O/O's.

Now, before I start detailing my idea, I'd like to also take a moment to lay out some of my requirements, in terms of what I am looking for in a partner:

- Literacy & Post Length - If you do your homework, and take a moment to search through my post history, you will find that I can easily flesh out quite a few paragraphs. That being pointed out, I will not take on a partner who can't match my post length. I'm sorry, but I don't believe that you can do a post justice with only a few sentences / a small paragraph. I am definitely more of a quality over quantity type of gal, in the grand scheme of things, however. We all make mistakes. By no means am I some grammar nazi. I just ask that you at least try to make an effort to proofread before posting a reply.

- Frequency - I'm looking for someone who can, at minimum, reply once every couple of days. Preferably, someone who can post once a day. Keep in mind that I try to post at least once a day, but sometimes it does end up taking me a few days, depending on how crazy work has been.

- Characters - I am looking for someone to play a male, who will be paired with my female character. I don't care what gender my partner is, as long as they are willing to play this role/sex.

- Story over smut - I think this is pretty self-explanatory. I prefer to focus on the story. That's not to say I don't enjoy a good sex scene, but if we're constantly writing smut, I'm going to get bored.

- Enhancing the story - Keep in mind that this idea is meant to be left vague in certain places. What I want is for someone to come in and add to the male character's history and personality. Everyone is different, and by no means do I want to restrict my partner to a detailed, set-in-stone character.

Just as a warning - this is a very cheesy, romance story. So if you're not at all into that stuff, don't bother to read this lol. It's not purely romantic, however. I have to have action and drama ;)

The Story

My character is an Emergency Room physician - Dr. Michelle Carson. She has no living family, her father being the last to pass away while she was still in medical school. She was there with him on the night he died, after they'd been involved in a bad wreck. She tried to save him there on the side of the road while waiting on the police and medics to arrive, but she couldn't do it. His injuries were too severe and her skills just weren't good enough to pull off such an impossible task. Her father was also a doctor, and he was her inspiration for becoming one herself, but after being unable to save him that night, she really dedicated herself to her studies. She hated herself for not being able to save him that night, and all she could do was continue to perfect her trade until she could prove that saving him could have been possible.

After medical school, Michelle took the first job she was offered - in one of the busiest hospitals in a rough part of Chicago. Being that she has no family, and certainly no friends (other than her coworkers) she often works as many hours as she possibly can, simply to ignore the fact that she's lonely and has no one to spend her days off and her holidays with. In truth though, she's one hell of a doctor, and the hospital feels very grateful to have someone like her on their staff, as its certainly gotten a lot of attention for more public funding. Keep in mind that being this kind of a doctor means that she sees a lot of fucked up cases - gunshot wounds, drug addicts, tragic car accident victims, etc. So she's pretty damn tough to be able to work as much as she does, and still keep her shit together, emotionally. The job sure as hell isn't easy.

One night while on her way home from work, she just so happens to be one of a few cars back from a bad car wreck that happened on the interstate. Michelle being who she is does not hesitate to pull over and arrive on the scene. In the driver seat of the vehicle that was hit, she finds a man about her age who is badly injured and so bloodied-up that isn't really able to get a good look at his face - this is an important detail. He's losing blood, fast, leaving Michelle no choice but to pull him out of the vehicle and stabilize him right there on the side of the road. Had it been anyone else besides her, he would have died that night. But Michelle had the skills necessary to pull off what a lot of doctors would have considered impossible, outside of a medical facility. Emotionally this isn't easy for Michelle, however. After all these years of waiting to prove herself...this moment was the test she'd been waiting for. His injures were exactly like the ones her father sustained on the night he died, so while she's working to save his life, she quickly becomes an emotional mess...crying and begging him to hold on. He's a bit on the incoherent side, but he notices her emotions, and her begging him in the way that she does is also what keeps him holding on long enough for her to do what she needs. There's a moment, after she's stabilized him, when she's looking down at his face, getting a good look at his eyes, that he reaches up and wipes at her tears before he finally passes out, leaving quite the intimate impression on both of them.

Who is this character, you ask? Well that's where you get to choose. It's totally up to you on who he is, and what he does for a living. I did have one idea, however, for who this mystery man could be for some added drama, but again, I'm not set on this. I want you to be in your element.

Obviously, when he wakes up, he's immediately told that he was lucky, and further who saved his life. Depending on what kind of person he is, and what he does for a living, depends on how they actually end up meeting again. I'd like to discuss this further, in private though.
