In the 41st Millenium, there is only war. This war that pits several races against each other. Humans, Eldari, Tau, Necrons, Drukhari, and the Tyranids. All of them are vying for control of the wide galaxy. Each one having their own motivations whether it is reclaiming what their ancestors lost or for The Greater Good. But all of them are faced with forces much greater than themselves. These forces are the forces of Chaos. The Chaos Gods are demons bent on harnessing all of the emotions from the sentient creatures of the galaxy. Each one of them has a source from which they were made. Khrone was made from violence, bloodshed, and the horrors of war. Nurgle was born from pestilence, disease, and famine. Tzeentch was made from change and the hope change can bring. Finally, there is Slaanesh, the Prince of Pleasure, who was made and feeds off the pleasures and excesses experienced by mortals.

The last of these Gods to come into existence was Slaanesh who was brought into existence at the height of Eldari excess and pleasure. The Eldari had no longer been doing things for themselves and so sought their own pleasure to amuse themselves. They got lost in this pursuit and went from the race at the top of the galactic order to bordering on extinction. So now they exist primarily on large ships called Craft Worlds. They are much fewer in number as Slaanesh’s birth wiped out their seat of power. And now each one of them is focused onto a path where they will focus all their energy for much of their life, unless they change paths.

That was in Millennium 29. It is now Millennium 41 or M41 for short. Slaanesh has spread his influence all over the galaxy, bringing more followers to his cause by the day. Yet by his nature, he always wants more. And this will be the story of the people attempting to fight and survive against his new plan, to bring about his own crusade, to spread the value of pleasure and excess to the Imperium of Man. We will start our story on a Hive World that is home to billions. Hive worlds are planet wide cities. And so the characters that I am proposing we play have some relation to either the Astartes [Space Marines] or the Ecclesiarchy [Sisters of Battle, Inquisition] or even the Imperial Army. Their goal is to repel this initial force or at least survive long enough to get a message back to Terra that this crusade is coming.

Will our characters fall to pleasure? Or will they fight through to push back against the excesses?
