Im wondering if Shamans have the utility of healing. That could be super flavorful in kingmaker setting!

Edit : they do! Could do something like that. Think a Shaman of Erastil who has a spirit animal

Callie Del Noire

From what I understand they are pretty good at healing

Yes. And the shaman is actually a very good inbetween. If I go life shaman, i can life link and constantly feed the party my own hp. Pick up boots of the earth or other options for fast healing. Then I can also pick up hexes like fortune or evil eye to buff the party or debuff the enemies. The downside is that I heavily become dependent on my allies then. But this feels like the ultimate support character.

Fortune is sooooo gooooddd!

Few questions for the gm.

What races are allowed. Up to how many race points? Custom races? Another question is over the traits. Is it just 2 traits and one of those can be the campaign trait, or does one of those HAVE to be the camapign trait?

One idea I have bases off of the Kitsune and a 3pp archetype . The concept is a kitsune shaman of life who is like the kingdom's resident kitsune goddess in the making. Bestowing life, healing, and good fortune to those in her good wills. The only thing I'd like is to go with the humanoid looking character with fox ears and tails type of kitsune, rather than the disney styled furry kitsune

I am rereading stuff on the river kingdom and am finding the Witch could be a very nice theamic Spymaster.  I’m also seeing a bit of fun as a changeling (human or non)

I'd be really interested in this, as I love the CRPG version of this, if you don't think that's a spoiler?

I'm interested in a bard, probably single class, no dipping.  Concept would be an enlightened poet-warrior type, from Tian-Xia.  Hope that won't violate the strangely-spelled name guideline?  :-)

LOL.  This is more of a quality of life thing for me.  In another game, someone is named Serana—but I always want to spell it “Serena.”  Another is named “Jhessica,” and I want to spell it “Jess.”  Grizzley has a character whose name I always mispell.

Selene or Ratchet works right?

I am a bit racist towards the small races and races that can’t pass for human in general.  They are technically allowed, but since I am the one picking who gets to play, I guess you should know that.  No custom races.  Any two traits will do.

As for material, you should limit yourself to Paizo only.  I am actually not very knowledgeable when it comes to Pathfinder as it is.

I'm alright with the concept as long as I'm not gonna get downright hated by the kingdom and allies for it. Having rumors or our enemies call me stuff doesn't mean much, and kitsune do get a human form. Could be fun to play with that. But yeah the idea is a life shaman effectively.

The only reason I didn’t go with a kits either is that you were already interested and I’m okay with the non anime version. Was thinking a fighter archer type.

I am thinking a Hunter or a UNC rogue that multi's into a hunter!

I am considering one of these images!

I voice interest as well (always interested on kingmaker in general). Concept being one bastards of disappeared noble houses (House Rogarvia), taking bastard trait present that. Class wise leaning to warpriest (of Asmodeus, he was given away to his biological father who is a noble from Cheliax and his parenting guided him towards Asmodean faith). Possibly Arsenal Chaplain archetype (so quite martial minded). Kingdom position wise could be high priest, general or perhaps ruler as well (plan him have some charisma).

Edit; scrap about Asmodeus/Cheliax part, forgot had to make good only aligned char. But a warpriest of some kind. Just need good deity suggestions (and could take regular warpriest than arsenal chaplain depending on domain choices given deity).

Edit2; After checking bit, Iomedae could be good choice. Could go for Arsenal Chaplain. However basic background remains same; being a bastard and was send off to his biological father's side to grow up (now instead Cheliax could be anywhere and father having connections to Iomedae church).

Leaning towards a Changeling character.. haven't settled on which Brevoy family to be a bastard of (given the number of Brevoy family types, I figured I'd hold off which one. Though it could kind of fun to have a half-sibling in the same way ("Boy was dad a philanderer wasn't he?")

I've never RP'd with you, Nerf, so I don't know what you're like as a player.  So let me just give you a small caution.

New players are already anti-social at the start of the game.  Noble characters have a tendency to not only be anti-social, but also... disdainful of other characters, which doesn't often work in group games because it tends to create animosity between the characters.  So, before I consider you for this game, I'd like your promise that Alys (... can't you just name her Alice?) will be friendly and outgoing, rather than judgmental and stuck up.

Not sure how to explain the lack of armor but I suppose I could make her a hunter!

Well armor does help unless she is a monk!
Or kinsai magus!

Zaer Darkwail

Heavy armor can indeed be difficult to wear in wilderness, but intent my warpriest to go mostly medium armor and shield approach.

Well, I don't know what gave you the idea that my character is anti-social, judgemental or stuck up.  I went with a Noble-born because I wanted to tie it in with Campaign trait. And I like the spelling Alys.  It flows better with the vaguely eastern European writing style of Brevoy.
