Welcome to Cloud Nine—just another dive bar in Dallas, Texas with a unique grunge flare. It is somewhat secluded and not easy to find like say, Oil Can Ricky’s down the street. The workers are friendly, and they all seem to be covered in tattoos. It might be just some rite you have to go through in order to get a job here. Cloud Nine supposedly is a new bar that just appeared in town and it is only just starting to receive attention and business. Simple right? No; Cloud Nine is slightly more mysterious than that.

Unknown to the common mortal, Cloud Nine’s employment base is comprised of all angels. The bartender, the waiters and waitresses, the entertainment, the bouncers, and the takeout boys and girls—yes, they are all angels.

Our game begins in the month of January 2020. Humanity’s existence is being threatened by the forces of Hell as the Apocalypse draws ever closer. The divine barrier that once prevented the demons from crossing into the mortal realm has thinned. A very powerful devil can now rip a hole in the barrier and create a Hell leak, and it is the duty of the angels of Cloud Nine to destroy the devils, seal any leaks, and stop them from collecting and recruiting souls for their army.

Setting

This game was inspired by the Devil May Cry franchise and the horror movie Legion. There will be aspects of horror as well as gore and violence in this game so expect this RP to be in the Extreme section. The setting takes place in fictional Dallas, TX. Cloud Nine is a bar found tucked away in an alley in the downtown. It is a brand-new bar and few people know of its existence, but every now and then, a thirsty patron wanders in. The bar is the meeting place for all the angels involved in deterring the Apocalypse. They have various personalities and flavors, and they all live by the same rules:

NO angel will ever kill one of God’s children.
NO angel will ever kill another angel.
NO angel will ever swear allegiance to another god or one’s self (Pride).
NO angel will ever steal what doesn’t belong to them.
NO angel will ever copulate with a Human without their consent.
NO angel will ever fraternize with the Enemy.

Every angel can recite this creed by heart. A demonic imposter will be unable to recite this creed. A corrupted angel will also lose the ability to recite this creed. It is the Thrones who are the judges of Heaven and who can strip an angel of their divine blessings, and it is the Thrones who damn those in God's name. Angels fallen from Heaven become Devils, also known as Fallen Angels.

Angel Classification

Below is an explanation of the classification of angels and demons in this game. Writers will be able to select a classification for their angel in the CS.

are the first and most basic rank in the hierarchy as well as the most common angel encountered outside of Heaven. Every angel possesses a single pair of wings. Angels are the subordinates and the closest to the humans. They are often referred to by humans as “Guardian Angels.” Angels at this rank are not strong enough to resist the temptations of Hell. Instead of being burnt, their wings are ripped from their backs in the fiery geysers and their bodies consumed as they are reborn in the pits as imps.

are the second rank in the hierarchy and the most well-known of all angels. They carry God’s most important messages to humans. They command His armies in the constant battle with the Sons of Darkness. Archangels are distinguished by their single pair of wings, and they possess a halo.

are the warrior angels tasked with preventing the fallen angels from taking over the world and keeping the universe in balance. They are often referred to by humans as the iconic Angels of Death as well as Birth. They are the third rank in the hierarchy and possess a single pair of wings, a halo, and a special weapon.

are known to be involved with justice in the heavens. Their primary function is to carry out or fulfill the divine justice of God. Thrones are identified by having a single pair of wings, a halo, a special weapon, and a god wheel.

were once the guardians of the Gates of Eden. They have four wings. They possess great wisdom and are often the voices of reason. They possess the fullness of the divine science of heaven. They are the fifth rank in the hierarchy and they possess two pairs of wings, a halo, a god wheel, and a special weapon (scientific in appearance).

are sometimes called “the burning ones” because they are closest to God and radiate pure light. Their duty is to regulate the heavens. They are the sixth and highest rank in the hierarchy. They are distinguished by their six burning wings. They possess a halo, a god wheel, and a special weapon. They are the strongest angels in Heaven and in this game. [Not Playable]

Devil Classification

Fallen Angels once possessed the same ranks as the Angels of Heaven. When they fell from Heaven, their rank is changed along with their appearance. No more do they possess the brilliance of God. They are dark and wicked creatures. One of the Seven Deadly Sins afflicts them, taking the form of the sin they committed against God. Not all demons are Fallen Angels however. Some demons were once human who became damned in their mortal life. The former human demons can rise in rank up to Archdemon, but no higher. Angels become Imps, Archangels demons, Powers Archdemons, Thrones Djinns, Cherubim Devils, and Seraphim Overlords.

are the lowest and most common demon in Hell. They are the tricksters that plan accidents for humans, hoping to catch them in a fatal trap so that they can snatch away their souls. Imps have tiny goat-like horns on their heads.

are the second most common creature in Hell. A demon often embodies one of the seven sins: Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath, and Sloth. The type of demon one is dealing with is based on the type of sin they embody. Demons have horns larger than imps and may or may not have a tail.

are the most frightening and destructive of demons next to Devils. Often called “wingless devils,” the Archdemons are the leaders of Hell’s armies. They possess the largest horns, may or may not possess a tail, and like demons, they embody one of the Seven Deadly Sins: Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath, and Sloth.

are known in the fairy tales of humans as “genies.” They are malevolent spirits capable of possessing human beings. They rely on a mortal host in order to exist in the mortal world. As long as they have a host, they can shape-shift into any form they desire, but they are in debt to grant their host three wishes that don’t always go the way the host desires (there’s always a consequence or price to be paid). The Djinn’s goal is to ultimately kill their host after they have granted them their three wishes and use their souls to independently walk among the mortals as a threat. Djinn do not have a distinct form for they are shape-shifters. They are selfish creatures and often only care about their own existence.

are the most frightening of creatures in Hell. Like Djinn, they possess the power of possession and have been so powerful to have even possessed saints. Their hellish form is distinct for unlike their demonic counterparts, they possess not only horns but large, leathery wings. They can shape-shift in order to lead humans into temptation. A pact with a devil is often irreversible. A human sacrifices a precious something to a devil in order to achieve some sort of special power, talent or gift. They will possess that gift and die with it, and their soul will belong to the devil.

are the rulers of the Nine Levels of Hell. There are only nine overlords total and with the regular fall of angels, it is a competitive position. Overlords bear the curse of forever fighting to maintain their spot as ruler. Their battles are legendary and of a world-shattering level that they only happen outside the mortal realm for fear of destroying the Earth. Each Overlord represents one of the Seven Sins and defends the level of that sin. They are distinguished from all other demons for they possess a crown on their head. They possess as many crowns to represent what level of hell they rule (so they can possess between 1 to 9 crowns on their head). They can possess horns, tails, wings, or anything else. One will know when they are talking to an overlord by gazing upon their crowns. [Not Playable]

Humans

All humans are normal unless they have an angel or a demon. A human who possesses an angelic protector automatically receives one supernatural ability. These humans have been called prophets, saints, healers, mediums, etc. by other humans. They have been known to foresee the future, levitate, heal, banish demons, as well as save the lives of others, etc. Those humans bound to demons only possess abilities if their demon possesses them, thus the demon’s abilities become the human’s abilities, or if they are the humans of Djinn and Devils. Humans with Djinn can wish for power or Humans of Devils can sacrifice something or someone they cherish in order to acquire power independent of the Devil.

     It is the angels duty to protect the humans even those corrupted by evil. Humans come from all walks of life and so they each have their own desires and motivations for living. Many stories can be created with humans such as ascension into Heaven as an angel or condemnation into Hell as a demon. They can even fall in love with their divine companions.

     Only humans with angelic or demonic companions can see supernatural entities. Most humans will be blind to them and unable to perceive them. Most humans are blind to the approaching Apocalypse. What side will they choose?

The Role Play

     This role playing game is about angels and demons, and the war they wage on the human plane as the Apocalypse draws near. This RP has theological elements and is not meant to act as a trigger. If you are triggered by theology, then please do not join this game because it is very open and free. God and Lucifer exist, but they are not playable or even NPC-able. This game was inspired by the Devil May Cry franchise and the horror movie called Legion, so expect to see elements from both. This game is meant to be sandbox with medium GM involvement. The GM may insert some plot events.

Q&A


Q: Does my angel have to look traditional?

A: No. As long as your angel possesses the characteristics mentioned above in their description, then you can make those characteristics look however. There is one condition though. The Cherubim class is the scientific class, so only they can possess any characteristics that are machine-like or even chemical in nature. Besides that, your character can have paper wings, light-based wings, a faint ring of light as a halo, etc.

Q: Does my human have to have an angel or demon companion?

A: No. Any human who does not have one will not be able to see the paranormal though. They instead will see the angels and demons in their human/host forms.

Q: Is this game LGBT+ friendly?

A: Yes.

Q: Does my angel have to be either male or female?

A: No. They can be androgynous, genderless, or nonbinary just not futa please.

The personality of the angel is going to be however you make it. If your angel is a druggy, alcoholic, or whatever, then I do not care as long as they follow the Celestial Creed. Angels do not have to look traditional. You can make their angelic transformation look however you want it to look.

1.   Angels are covered in celestial runes when in Human form. Humans just think they’re tattoos or body-scarring, but these runes grant them the ability to use some of their angelic powers in Human form without need of transformation.
2.   Once an angel has transformed, they cannot be seen by a Human who doesn’t have a guardian or a demonic host.
3.   Each angel can only have one human to guard.
4.   In Human form, angels are capable of defying gravity via running up vertical surfaces, standing on vertical surfaces, or performing short aerial combat without need of their wings. Their strength and toughness are superhuman. With a special weapon, they can cut through anything from the mortal plane that isn’t enchanted or cursed. Human weapon technology has no effect on them unless enchanted or cursed. Angels can be as light or as heavy as they want to be, being capable of fighting on brittle and permeable surfaces such as ice, snow, sand or water without sinking. They can communicate telepathically with other angels, speak a celestial tongue known only by other angels to include “fallen angels,” and make a pact with a human to grant them their protection for as long as they’re alive.
5.   Thrones are Heaven’s judges and are the only ones capable of damning other angels to Hell. They are also the ones who can banish a devil back to Hell.
6.   Cherubim are the scientific angels and are most well-known for their divine machina.
7.   Writers are allowed only one main character, but can have as many NPCs as they like. The NPCs can be human, demonic, or other angels in support roles. Whatever helps you weave your story. Just remember, one main character.
8.   Your main character is only allowed to be one of the good guys. An angel or a human. Your main character cannot be hellspawn.

Rules

1. No Mary Sues/Gary Stus. I think the CS is detailed enough that I don't think this will be a problem. But again, don't make one.
2. No drama. This rule will always be here because people do not obey or even read this. Do not bring drama to this game. Not aggressive or passive aggressive. I will not let you into this game if you demonstrate to me that you cannot behave like a mature adult.
3. No is No. GM says no. Move on. I try to be fair but if I literally tell you No, then it’s no.
4. No weak, partial, and trim character sheets. If it looks like you barely put any effort into your CS, you will be denied. Do not send me a weak CS.
5. Interact. You are joining a group game. By joining a group game that means you want to interact with others. Do it! Do not join this game if you don’t plan to write with others. Do not be a creeper either. If I get a report that you are creeping on writers, then you will be dropped. If I feel you are not contributing to the game, then I will ask you to leave.
6. Activity. This game is going to be as fast as we make it. However, if the game slows down to the point everyone is posting once every 3-5 days, do not deem this game as dead. This game will only die if the GM says it is dead. If it dies and the GM didn't say it's dead, then the players killed this game. Do not kill this game. As a GM, there is only so much I can do. I can guide this game until conclusion, but I cannot force you to keep active and interested. You have to do this on your own. Interacting with other players and developing stories with them helps. Communicate with me if you plan to go AWOL. If you're coming down with a sickness and think you're going to be gone, let me know before it gets worse. If you plan to go on vacation for a time frame, let me know so we can accommodate your absence.

9. Posting Level Requirement. Writers must be capable of posting 300 words and more. This is not a game for one-liners or short and choppy paragraphs. The writing in this game can reach advanced levels. If you persistently post one-liners, then you will be asked to leave. I try to only promote literacy in my games, so if English grammar and post length are some things you want to improve on, then feel free to give this game a shot.
10. WIPs. If you drop a "Work in Progress" here, then it will be your responsibility to contact the GM and let them know that you are finished.
11. Sex Scenes. All sex scenes and sexual content such as photos will be placed in a "NSFW" spoiler. This gives writers the option to read it if they want to read it without it being thrown into their faces. Sexual content is full-blown nudity where the genitalia is described, masturbation, pictures, and other scenes that you wouldn't want anyone over your shoulder seeing or reading. Just put it in a spoiler. It is so simple.

Seth’s angel form is not traditionally what one would imagine an angel to be able to transform into. His body becomes a light-blue glowing genderless form, and his AG-I armor digitalizes into existence around him. At the armor’s back are four jet engines, which produce lengthy jets of fire that grant him supersonic flight.

EQUIPMENT: The type of angelic equipment depends on the Angel class you chose for your character. List the equipment here with their description, and one thing that each weapon does special. You can also list non-angelic weapons that are conventional to the mortal realm.

• AG-I: Rachmiel's special weapon guards his blue angel form in power armor. The weapon is capable of supersonic flight and producing an assortment of holy light attacks, which all have been given special names. Of course. While AG-I has a combat design, it is mainly meant to be defensive. It is supposed to survive so that he can provide support to his fellow angels.
• HALO: Rachmiel's halo is a super computer capable of interfacing with machines that possess an electronic brain or AI and networks. He can hack into nearly anything, nearly because there are hellspawn who exist whose technology comes close to rivaling his own (he would never admit it). The HALO allows Rachmiel to decode, hack, corrupt and support his fellow angels long distance even when he physically can't be there. Because you know...sometimes he just doesn't feel like going.
• Celestial Field: Rachmiel's god wheel can expand to vast circumferences. It creates a special space that contains the destruction and negative affects caused by divine combat, allowing his fellow angels to go all out without fear of harming humans and their infrastructure. So far no hellspawn has been able to break the field, but if they ever do, then the destruction caused within its protective dimension will affect reality. In combo with his HALO system, Rachmiel can send this support to any angel around the planet as long as he can locate them. Unfortunately, he only has one god wheel, so it would behoove all angels to fight within the field's area of effect.
• Wings: Rachmiel's wings in his blue form are long like a dragonfly's and iridescent. A rainbow gloss can be seen reflected in their glass-like appearance. The wings can bend and curl tightly into rolls. When wearing his AG-I, Rachmiel's wings become jets of holy fire that grant him supersonic flight and maneuverability unparalleled by an aircraft or airborne species.

SKILLS:

• Hacker: Just calling Seth a hacker is an understatement.
• Celestial Engineer: If your character needs gear, then they can ask Seth to make them something. Seth can only make one “something” per plot scenario. The item will be completed at the conclusion of the plot. Understand the GM can deny whatever item you are requesting if they feel it could affect the game in any way (overpowered). Seth can also make items for Humans. Payment must be made in Chinese food, pizza, coke, video games, or movies.
• Technical Genius: He’s not a cherubim for nothing! You found some technological, doohickey, give it here. He’ll figure it out and brief your character on what it is. This includes all paranormal machina.
• Long-Distance Technical Support: No matter where your character is, Seth can reach them using his HALO and offer long-distance support. You need to break into some place? Got it. You need to establish long-distance communications with another? Got it. You need a way out of a crazy dimension. He might be able to…yes; hack a way out for you. Even space is comprised of math.
• Celestial Martial Arts: Every angel knows how to fight. To Humans they all look like masters, but his combat skills compared with those angels who were born for it…ha!

Current Story: Apparently, non-gold-backed dollars matter in this economy. Oh yeah, and that apocalypse thing...

Personality: Seth is…well…somewhat introverted. He is the guy who can live in his apartment for weeks or maybe even months and never leave, surviving off of a diet of fast food, ramen, sodas, and other junk growing skinnier and paler by every celestial rotation. He will spend his time doing a multitude of things at once, all surrounding a computer—writing reviews on movies, comics, or video games; flaming chatrooms or flirting with hot nerd girls online; destroying noobs in MMOs; role playing; and the one thing actually related to his celestial duties, research. He will have multiple computer screens and even more magical screens that he designed himself. He can immerse himself in this life for hours, but unfortunately, it doesn’t always pay rent. Therefore, Seth works at Cloud Nine.

When he’s away from his beloved computer, Seth can be a prick. His sense of humor is somewhat awkward. He may get the reference, but it may not be funny to him. He also has a bad habit of picking on stupid people. The bar has plenty of them once the alcohol starts flowing.

Seth is that guy that you don’t necessarily have to befriend, but you must acknowledge that his support is a godsend. You need information; you need to break through security; you need to fool electronic surveillance; you want to learn what some electronic doohickey is; or you want new weapon, armor, or even transportation customized to your needs—he is your main man. And you know what he charges? Usually, a 12-pack of Dr. Pepper, Taco Bell, or a box or ramen. Any of that hangover food will be accepted as currency. You try to cheat him and he may up the cost.

Character Flaws: Arrogant, stubborn, lazy, introverted, and mild agrophobia. He only works at a bar because he has to. He does not like being around a lot of people.

Life-Force Detection: Gifted with the ability of being able to sense the presence of life along with a detailed understanding about what he is sensing. He always knows how many beings are in his immediate area. He's honed this ability over the centuries to be able to track a life across the Dominion of God as part of his duties as a Throne.

Special Weapon

Relic Type: Massive celestial blade infused with holy runes
Ability: Holy Fire -The user can create, shape and manipulate holy flames, which are especially effective against fallen angels, demons and other evil beings and are inextinguishable by normal means. It may also trap and/or immobilize angels or demons, rather than killing them outright if shaped into a circle/dome around them.

The sword is infused with heavenly fire. Striking an enemy with it will burn the evil out of him or her; however, if the enemy is more evil than good, in the case of demons/fallen angels, then it will also burn the life from them. When they are too weakened to fight back the purifying flames  banish them back Hell. It looks like they've been consumed/disintegrated by holy fire.

Ability - Anti Magic Aura: A Throne's purpose is to hunt down the Fallen and fullfil the justice of God. This doesn't entail some kind of 'fair fight'; these are the traitors of Heaven. God Given: As a Throne Javan was created with certain abilities in order to fulfill his mandate set by God. He has practiced and honed those skills since his creation as part of his daily routine and is as good as one can be with them:
-Athletics: running, swimming, flying, acrobatics and what is now known as parkour, has also started playing team sports like football and basketball
-Close Combat: Various martial arts from around the world (Japan, China and Greece mainly), angelic fighting forms using both his sword and unarmed

From his new vantage point of living among them. After a short time of study he decided he would become a US Marshal to serve the ideal of justice

Current Story: He’s been on Earth for a while now. For years he led a very disciplined life. Training, hunting, smiting. It’s not like he got bored or anything but a very real part of Javan felt he was missing out on an opportunity to experience life, a life that was different than he had in Heaven. He took on a mortal identity after observing them, watching over them…getting pissed by many of them.

Mortal identity meant mortal body. There was a definite shift in thinking here. More cravings and hungers. Bleys loves music and food and will try out new cuisines any chance he gets. He also discovered he can’t handle alcohol…like violently ill allergic reaction inability—which totally sucked because he was at a Mediterranean place and the owner Kosta, had offered him some top of the line Ouzo he’d just brought back.

He found an apartment in little Greek town, a few blocks from The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. He wanted to be a part of the society here. Bleys wanted to be a Marshall. He worked odd jobs as a musician, volunteered his time and went to school.

When Cloud 9 appeared it was a place where Angels gathered. Who can resist the call of one’s own people? Taking on a job playing guitar and singing there, he gets to vent out some of his emotions and meet people.

Personality: Javan is a warrior angel of God. His sense of justice is, well, biblical. He’s not the type who is going to care that you didn’t get hugged enough as a child and that is why you murdered twelve people and raped another seven. He believes strongly in protecting the innocent but God made him to smite the guilty. He has to keep that in check when he is doing his mortal job. He's not the type to flinch or care what brought the circumstances about that lead to him hunting someone down. He will listen if someone sounds truly repentant though, they aren't getting out of going to jail but he does feel there is hope for their soul. He does prioritize God’s law over that of mortal law. God’s law is absolute. Mortal laws change every generation.

Character Flaws:
Nightmares-his duties aren’t the easiest and condemning a fellow angel hurts him even if it is necessary
Modest means (a US Marshall gets paid a decent wage, he keeps enough to maintain his modest lifestyle and gives the rest to the church).
Unforgiving: this is mostly aimed at the Fallen. Humans live very short lives where they have to believe without proof. The Fallen have known the truth of God since He created them. Bleys makes no excuses for them. Their betrayal brings out some of his worst fringe qualities. During battles with the Fallen and Demons for that matter, he can get all holier than thou and self-righteous.

Unstable. She’s been teetering on the cliff of addiction again after three years of sobriety.

Current Story: Josephine was raised by good, catholic folks who spoiled her rotten. There was nothing she lacked. She went to the best schools, travelled the world and was dearly loved. She always had plans to go to college, study hard and be someone one day but when her parents died when she was eighteen in a plane accident all her dreams and aspirations died with them.

Joséphine spent a long period of her life high after that. She surrounded herself with the wrong people who took advantage of her but she was either to coked out or too shit-faced to notice. All she cared about was that blissful numbness that made life bearable. She had no drug of choice because she loved them all until the night a heroin overdose nearly took her life. It scared her bad enough that she checked herself into a rehab and got sober.

Life after facing death looked good on Josephine who felt blessed to be alive. She became a brand new woman. She became a health and fitness nut, volunteered regularly to feed the homeless and actually began to believe that life didn’t have to feel so bad. She opened up a tattoo shop in Dallas, Texas and began investing in real estate, taking after her father, knowing he would be proud of her turn around. Life was good until her past decided to remind her of how shitty life could be. Thank God she had opened her little tattoo shop next to a bar with good reviews.

Personality: Josephine by nature is a kind person which she would credit to her faith if brought to her attention. Other words to describe Josephine would be playful, energetic, empathetic, sensual and overtly feminine. She loves to laugh and workout at the gym. She loves long runs, sushi, singing and rain. This all describes Josephine to a tee when depression and addiction is not present in her life. When it is however Josephine has trouble concentrating, has a lack of impulse control and has a temper especially if she is trying to fight her cravings. To be fair, she does try hard not to take her issues out on others.

EQUIPMENT:

Halo

In a similar fashion to the Earth's geomagnetic field, Atreel can create an electromagnetic field around himself to either attract or repel objects.  He can either manifest this power as an armor or as a spherical shield around his body.  He can also choose to surround only parts of his body with this force field, such as his hands and feet.  When the force field's set to repel, he can more easily parry / deflect attacks or "push" objects / enemies away from himself.  He can also leap great distances and soften falls (or landings).  When the field's set to attract, he can cause targeted objects to fly towards him or even stick to walls Spider-Man style.  Atreel can extend his force field to parts of his weapon, the Kusari-Gama.  He can set it to repel to add a little more power behind his attacks or set it to attract so it can stick to objects.

Atreel can also use his ability to manipulate electromagnetic fields to sense and release electromagnetic waves.  This gives him the ability to obtain a 3d image of the space all around him without the use of sight.  He can even use the electromagnetic waves to 'see' through walls and fabrics.

The electromagnetic waves and fields he produces may interfere with radar and radar-based devices.

Wings

Atreel's wings are made of blue electrical energy.  They allow him to move and travel as fast as a lightning strike.

Special Weapon

Kusari-Gama
This weapon has a retractable sickle blade and chain with a seemingly infinite length.  When the chain is complete retracted, the weapon can be used as a kama or scythe.  The blade could also be adjusted so that the weapon resembles more of that of a knife.  Atreel's Kusari-Gama is capable of generating the same electricity present in holy lightning bolts used to smite evil beings.  The electricity could be delivered through direct contact with the weapon or by long-range with a bolt of lightning.  In addition to dealing damage, the electrical attacks may also stun and shock his enemies.

God Wheel

Atreel's God Wheel boosts the abilities of all three of his holy equipment.  When combined with his halo, his electromagnetic radar sense can extend to encompass an entire city, allowing him to know where everything and everyone is located.  When combined with his wings, he becomes capable of flying at unimaginable speeds.  When combined with his special weapon, by using up the majority of the energy within his god wheel, he may deliver a beam of electrical energy powerful enough for even an Overlord to take heed.

In addition to his celestial equipment, Atreel also has Hong Kong Special Duties Unit gear including firearms, flash-bang grenades, night-vision goggles, and a sniper rifle.



SKILLS:

Reconnaissance: Atreel was literally created for the purposes of scouting ahead and collecting information for other angels to help formulate a plan against the enemy.

Stealth and Espionage: As one of the foremost experts in reconnaissance, Atreel is a master of stealth and espionage.  In addition to his God-given talents (literally), he has also picked up on the art of Ninjutsu and on SDU undercover operations.

Celestial combat abilities: Like all other angels, Atreel knows how to fight.  He is especially adept at mid-range to long-range combat thanks to his special lightning-based weaponry.  He's still no slouch in close combat fighting, either, being capable of a multitude of martial arts of different styles.

Survival/Tracking: Like other Thrones, Atreel was meant to fulfill the divine justice of God, which included hunting down devils.

Cooking: Has picked up cooking as a hobby over the years after realizing how good food can taste when eating in a mortal body.  He turned that hobby into a career after leaving the Hong Kong police force.

ADVANTAGES:

Stealth-Master: Known for his stealth, he has managed to surprise and ambush even the most perceptive of devils.  He could even sneak up on beings with super-enhanced senses such as hearing or smell.

Speed: Even among his angelic colleagues, Atreel's wings has given him a reputation for being incredibly fast and agile.

DISADVANTAGES:

Daydreamer: Atreel has the unfortunate tendency to have his head up in the clouds sometimes.

Reckless: Tends to make some very impulsive and reckless decisions at times.

Current Story:

Atreel had always been fascinated with human culture, especially when it came to their fiction.  He came down from the Heavens as early as the 16th century to watch some of the plays written by Shakespeare.  During the start of the 20th century, he made regular trips down to Earth to read the latest Sherlock Holmes story.

In order to pick up some money to buy comic books, movies, etc... he decided to join the police force while he was in Hong Kong.  At the time, he figured he might as well as he was created to be a warrior.  Due to the skills he displayed during training, he was selected to be a part of the Special Duties Unit (nicknamed the Flying Tigers).  There he learned how special tactical units operated, including how to handle a sniper rifle, countering terrorists, hostage rescue, etc.  After completing a few missions (and witnessing some horrors in the process), he decided to resign from the police.  Since then, he decided to earn his money through a skill he picked up while he was in the police force.. cooking!

He joined Cloud 9 after hearing that the place needed a chef.

Personality: Normally an easy-going person with a carefree and lackadaisical attitude and approach to things.  Jin is best described as a daydreamer who likes to spend most of his time with his head up in the clouds.  He could even be described as a being a bit goofy.  He's approachable and tries to be friendly with other people.  In spite of this, he can be surprisingly prideful and stubborn, leading to him making very reckless decisions at times. Once he's made up his mind about something, he'll see through it to the end.

Despite not exactly being the brightest bulb in the class, he can be very perceptive and analytical to the point of practically becoming a human lie-detector.  He may even fake his usual aloof and carefree nature to hide the fact that he's paying attention for once.  He's most likely to be like this when he has finally set his mind on a single, tangible goal.  This can be especially true whenever he's helping out a friend due to his great sense of loyalty.
