The Clone Wars have begun.
The galaxy is in flames. Millions of clone trooper units have departed from Coruscant on missions to find and defeat the Confederacy. For the first time in a thousand years the Jedi Order has taken up arms en masse.

FOR THE REPUBLIC!

I am looking to start a Star Wars RP based around an 'OC' Clone Trooper Legion (similar to the famous/infamous 501st Legion). Taking inspiration from 'Band of Brothers' this will hopefully be similar in tone to certain arcs of the Clone Wars series and thus should be considered a 'war drama' RP. This is intended to be a long term game designed for players interested in world-building and plot development.

Do I need to be a Star Wars buff to take part?
Not a buff but it would really help if you have seen Star Wars Ep II & III.

Will you be 'GMing' the story?
To an extent. This is a collaborative narrative and anyone who wishes to participate will be expected to contribute to the overall experience. I will set up a Discord chat we can use to keep in contact, plot events, organise and world build but I will not be GMing in the traditional sense. I will be more of a first among equals who might nudge things along or take the lead as we get started.

Do I have to play as a Clone trooper? Will there be Jedi characters?
You are under no obligation to play as a Clone. You are more than welcome to play a member of the support personal assisting the Legion. There will also be plenty of slots for Jedi but they are limited to one per player and as the majority roles available are 'Jedi Commanders' they would be at Padawan rank.

The game will be broken up into two types of threads. "Plot threads" which will focus on the main plot (these will likely be the 'action' threads, fighting the war itself) and "General threads" which will be open/sandbox RP in the setting. You may wish to play a character who has no direct involvement in the main plot and takes part strictly in the general threads, this is perfectly acceptable. I might advise keeping in mind whatever character you decide to play will still need to be someone with a reason to interact with the rest of the roster (which will likely be primarily Clones/Jedi) but you are free to explore options. The character sheet will aim to be quick & easy so taking up smaller, less important or 'for fun' characters should be viable.

Are we limited to the Republic side or can I play a CIS character?"
Maybe in the future. At this point in time however my primary interest in generating a healthy roster of characters to populate the main game.

I will put up further information on sufficient show of interest.
Questions, Comments & suggestions are welcome.

This seems interesting. How are you planning to handle the inherent gender imbalance of the clones being male? Are you going to handwave that, and allow whatever? Might have some ideas, depending on what your plans are.

Primarch

At this time I don't think I'll open up the Clone army to address the gender imbalance, that being said female characters would be very welcome in the form of Jedi, support personnel and armed forces/resistance on planets where the legion is deployed.

Primarch

Glad to hear it!

Now lets see if we can lure in any others.

Captain Whitebread

Still looking or has this fallen like a Jedi under a hail of blaster fire?

If not, I’m interested in a clone lieutenant. Goes by Proxy and has a reputation for being the last survivor of several of his previous units. There are also rumours of an unprofessional relationship with his former Jedi general.
There are nights when the wolves are silent and it the moon that howls.

Primarch

If we can get some confirmed interest. If I can get 4 people (plus myself) I would be happy to press on.

LawfulEvil

Confirmed interest. Maybe not as a clone or jedi, but if there's room for something else that would be interesting.

Captain Whitebread

So there is two.

Sign me up for Lieutenant CW-0469 heavy infantry. Has a reputation for being bad luck for those around him and for doing things Jedi want to do but can’t for whatever reason.

What you thinking?

LawfulEvil

Devaronian scout/sniper assisting Republic forces to earn amnesty from previous career as a bounty hunter. Generally lazy and loathe to do any meaningful work, he can be difficult to work with but ultimately skilled when finally doing his job.

Thunder Splash

Potentially interested, If this gets up and running I'b be interested in playing CT-8003, a heavy trooper who goes by the nickname BOOM. A short tempered warrior who prefers to shoot first and ask questions later and thinks there's nothing in the galaxy that the application of unreasonably large amounts of high explosives can't cure.

Captain Whitebread

<hands CT-8003 a thermal detonator>

Bet you can't get the lead out of that Devaronian's ass.

Pulls out a role of bonding tape and straps the detonator to the head of a rocket. "Watch me..."

Captain Whitebread

Crude.but creative. Jury is still out on if it will be effective or not.

Thunder Splash

Is four people enough for this to get off the ground?

Primarch

We'll find out.

Character sheet is now in the opening post. Its set to be brief. Bullet point is fine. Clones can understandably be rather limited on the history side things. As a reminder concerning that, we're very early in the Clone Wars and it should be considered the '116th' will open on its first deployment.

    Primarch

Afraid I need to cancel this one. Some changes on my side and I won't be in a position to run a game. If someone wants to take over, feel free. Best of luck.

    Captain Whitebread

Real Life comes first. Do what you gotta do.

We’ll catch you on the flip side
