Well, it is time for me to make a little search thread, it seems. I have been looking for some quality roleplaying for a while, and want to give reaching out a shot, instead of just browsing what is on offer. :)

So, a little about myself: I have been RPing on and off for about 25 years now, which should give you a rough idea of how old I really am. I strongly prefer thread-based RPs and would qualify myself as a literate writer. I try to write posts around the 200-300 words mark but aim to get longer. In essence, I aim to provide enough to give some action and description, not long enough to either become overburdened. The one thing I really dislike is one-liners.

Now, many of these postings would list a long array of kinks and scenarios. Truth is, I can play and enjoy about anything as long as it is not underage (ick!) or male (can't get into guys' headspace, sorry). I do have a preference for submissive or switch-y characters, but BDSM themes need not be included at all.

I do not generally play canon characters, since they feel "used" and I frequently feel as if not doing them justice. But I do enjoy playing in published worlds, both fantasy, sci-fi or modern-day.

While I prefer working with threads (easier to keep organized than different PM chains), I am open to use PMs as well. Since I keep E and real life quite separate, I prefer not to use google docs or discord.

Please contact me via PM if you are interested in any scenario, or have an idea you feel I might enjoy. Those scenarios currently struck out are running, and thus not available, but I retained them here so if they strike a chord with you, you can pitch a modified version.

Light scenarios

FatedEverybody knows the grand oracle does not make mistakes. What the three blind priests read from the runes always comes through one one way or another. But usually their pronouncements are cryptic, or at least double-meaning ladden. Our characters just went into the temple one after the other - and the priests cried out that they had to be married immediately, and would doom their entire families if their marriage failed. How does anyone deal with that. (Inspired by greek myths, but compatible with about any fantasy setting). Drama, consent, "married at first sight" situation, slice of life, romance almost optional

Deeper undercover An agent of a law enforcement organization infiltrates an criminal organization. As an outsider, she is treated with a degree of apprehension, but she finds some genuinely sympathetic people inside. To herself she says she seduces one of them to shore up her cover - but her own feelings are complicated. Sure, the ends justify the means, but YC does not feel like someone who deserves harsh punishment. Romance, consentual sex, drama, action

Happily ever after - or so they thought. A couple of adventurers in a pretty typical fantasy world retire. They defeated the evil, got rich in the process, got lauded and even knighted. The marriage of YC and MC was celebrated with hundreds of guests in attendence. Now, they own and maintain a country estate... and the cracks appear. Without the constant threat reinforcing their mutual dependency, their personal and sexual incompatibility becomes ever clearer - but will they ultimately be able to salvage their marriage, will they quietly drift apart, or go down in a blaze of glory? Drama, consensual sex, affairs

After the end. The modern world has ended. Details can be negotiated, but it is unlikely modern conveniences will return to the world anytime soon. Our characters are among a small group of survivors now tackling a world they were never really prepared for. Foraging for food, preparing for winter - and finding an appreciation for one another unimpeded by the constant distractions of modern life. Pregnancy, Survival, Slice-of-Life

All these wasted years 40 is a big age for everyone. Time to take stock of your life, and see if you want to make a last, major course change. After all, the second half of life follows the course charted in the first. For woman, there is another big aspect to it. If you don't have children by 40, chances are, you never will. For MC, that reality looms large. Sure, she had a decent career. A few friends, some money put away for retirement. But there is no man in her life. No partner at all, actually. And that starts to feel like a big problem to MC. So MC take a large chance: She takes out an online add that explicitly states she wants someone for marriage and family. Older MC, Romance, Pregnancy?

BDSM Scenarios

Setting you free. MC has lived a very constrained life. Born into a deeply faithful family, she has always considered her sexuality a source of shame. Worse, her urges and fantasies were downright perverted. Hos  could she justify these... thoughts? About being roughly taken by a faceless man? That was not what God intended. But her life changed when against all probability, her application to college was accepted. Now on campus, for the first time, she is able to act without her parent's supervision. YC, on the other hand, sees the shy and closed-off girl as a challenge and a project of sorts - all too intent on freeing her, even if that means tying her up so tightly she cannot move an inch. Bondage, Experienced Partner, First time, light "corruption", maybe body modification

The proper order of the world (Exalted Setting) MC is a young, hotheaded fire-aspect out on her own in the threshold. Half roaming hero, half mercenary, and all swagger. But as news of a new warlord gathering an army reach her, she decides it is time to make her mark on the world. Unfortunately, that "new warlord" happens to be a celestial Exalt looking for a lieutenant. One he molds to his image. Bondage, Power differences, maybe bordering on NC territory?

Infiltration or Indoctrination (Fantasy or modern day setting) MC has seen a lot in her days. She had brought down charlatans and would-be saviors since she was a teenager calling out snake oil salespeople. The people abusing faith and trust have been her quarry - and she is getting after her biggest quarry yet. The Siblings of Hope have been recruiting aggressively for the last few years, and she plans to be a part of their latest batch of initiates. Bring down the corrupt church from the inside. Even though it might take some sacrifices to get past initiation. Rituals, Humiliation, "Bad therapy", Bondage, Potentially corruption

NC Scenarios

The bad doctor (Modern day) MC is in her late twenties, and she is about done with life. Overburdened by her career, the ticking biological clock, the loneliness of single life... it grinds her down to the point of depression. But nothing a little chemical fix can't... well... fix. Until her doctor demanded she see a therapist in addition to the medication. So she does - but she ends up with the one bad apple. A man who uses therapy as a means of reprogramming. Who slowly breaks down what remains of her sense of self, and makes her his, first her mind, then her body. Erosion of self, bad therapy, reprogramming, slave training

Characters

In this section, character sketches wait for an eager taker. These characters could either be used in either classical cooperative tale, or in something a bit analogous to a more GM-Player constellation.

The apprentice She is a magicians apprentice, who has toiled for seven years under an abusive, distant wizard who always kept dismissing her progress and work. She originally was apprenticed to him as something of a prodigy, but soon could not do anything right anymore. Or so she was told.

In fact, she was a pretty good student - but she was a better laboratory assistant. Her preparing circles, sifting through spell components and handling her master's finances soon became indispensable to him. And so, instead of furthering her education, her master instead started to purposefully stifle it, to drag out the time he could profit from her.

But in time, all living things must die. Death of her master came at an assassins blade, and the apprentice must now start out on her own, with a smattering of actual magic, and long years of backbreaking labor.


The exile The northern tundras is perhaps one of the most inhospitable places in the world. Doubly so outside the established frontier towns . But for some reason, a major power decided they had an interest in this reason. And that interest took the form of a newly-established penal colony.

For a penal colony, you need prisoners to do the back-breaking slave labor. And MC is one of these prisoners. Originally a street-rat with loose connections to the thieves' guild, she was caught when suddenly, the city watch actually displayed an interest in apprehending low-rank criminals. Convicted, branded and shipped off to the snow-blown wilderness within a week, MC now has the unenviable task of being a pioneer tasked with building her own prison.

One thing is certain, though - the detachment of guards is far from the creme of the crop, and the three sent along as overseers seemed more interested in finding a way back to the city than to actually administrate the town.

There might even be opportunity here.
