I have played the D20 version never ran it but have ran D20 games... would however love to play I have been dying to play my Shiba Samurai! lol

  Worth noting, Latina, the Dungeons and Dragons Oriental Adventures for third edition slammed Rokugan--the legend of the five rings setting--and Kara Tura--the D&D Oriental Adventures setting--together willy nilly with little effort made to distinguish which was which.  You might not have the two separate stories clear.

  What Pumpkin wants is a game specific to the Rokugan setting, and I think she's asking for the latest, which uses a very diferent mechanic than either of the ones before.

I just picked up l5r myself and would like to try to run a game but I'm very New to gming so I'm open to suggestions.

You can get scenarios from this site, I believe. Find a straightforward one, tweak the rules to the new edition, and give it a go.

If you want something more long term, I recommend The City of Lies. You can get it off drivethrurpg, and I ran it with my tabletop group for 3 years :)
