MsNox

Currently not actively looking for new partners, but open to chatting and possibly setting something up for the future!  :)

Hello, welcome to my little story ideas and cravings thread!

Very briefly, about me: I am a queer Canadian in her mid-to-late twenties. My pronouns are she/her, and you can call me Nox, Ms Nox, or Noxie, as you prefer. I am attracted to women and non-binary folx, and I identify as a lesbian. Perhaps unsurprisingly, those are the kinds of relationships I prefer to focus on in my writing. For one-on-one writing, I much prefer to write with female  and non-binary writers, and I am very much trans-friendly!

I'm available to write on-site, or through Google Docs. In the case of g-docs, I'm fine with writing privately or to post on E (or elsewhere, possibly) later. I tend to respond quickly, but I'm not picky about pacing. More important, to me, is communication!

Lastly, please do have a look at my O/O thread, here, or at the link in my signature!

Without further ado, here are the things I'm looking for:

Generally: Cyberpunk
I am almost always interested in cyberpunk stories, or science fiction featuring cyberpunk themes and ideas. A few key inspirations here are Ghost in the Shell (1995 animated film), both Blade Runner films, and William Gibson's Neuromancer. If you'd like to try something cyberpunk with me, drop me a PM! I'm always happy to brainstorm a concept/plot with cyberpunk settings or themes.

Lower City Blues [Currently Filled]

Summary: A down-on-her-luck ex-corporate enforcer is content to drink away her evening, but the stranger approaching her booth may have other plans.

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

In the near future, corporations have their own enforcers - private cops, essentially. Enhanced by all manner of cybernetics and empowered to operate above and outside the law, enforcers are feared and fearsome. For Elliot, though, that's all behind her. She retired years ago, and has spent the time since taking odd jobs and spending her nights in whatever dives will let her through the door. Whatever money she had when she quit is running thin, and paying jobs that aren't asking her to sign on with some gang, or worse, a cause, are getting far and further between.

Ell is about to start on another bottle when a stranger enters Mac's bar - a run-down joint, even for the lower city. Whoever they are, they seem jumpy. Ell is content to write it off as "not my problem" when the stranger begins to make their way over to her table with a desperate look and a wad of cash.

Elliot is a tall woman with dark hair and dark eyes, in her mid-thirties. Her body has been extensively enhanced and, in places, rebuilt, leaving her with an athletic build that still manages to belie her strength. Her clothing choices vary, but tend towards the practical, and she's rarely seen without an old, sturdy leather jacket.

YOUR CHARACTER is hiring Elliot to be your protection. Perhaps you're a hacker who's gotten in over your head, drawing the ire of one of the city's many corporations. Maybe you're a revolutionary, trying to overthrow the powers that be and make a better world, and that's earned you one too many enemies. Whatever the reason, you believe there's an enforcer coming after you, and who better to protect you from an enforcer than an ex-enforcer who seems to really need the money?

Romance/Smut - Elliot is not a particularly difficult person to get into bed, but she is emotionally closed off. There's something in her that seems to care about more than just the money, but she's pretty carefully guarded. Maybe the 'right' person could get her to open up. Looking at a slow-burn romance for this one, with the option to have sex enter the picture earlier, if desired.

Untitled: Supernatural Fantasy Concept

Summary: A lone traveler finds their way into a small town built up on the edge of an old forest. People seem friendly enough, but at night the town locks up tight, and there's something off about the howling that fills the air at night.

Details:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

This one's pretty open-ended. The core concept is that one main character is the traveler, on their way through the town for whatever purpose. Maybe they're a traveling cleric or a bard, or a fighter looking for mercenary work. The other main character would be a werewolf living in the nearby woods. Fate thrusts the two together, romance ensues.

Untitled: Light, Romantic Concept [Currently Filled]

Summary: A student living miles away from their home town and the expectations that come with it finds more than they were looking for while away at school.

Details:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

There's a lot of flexibility on this one. Setting can be a real town or some made-up place. The idea here is something light, fun, romantic, with maybe a touch of angst here and there. One character is a student from out of town, the other is someone who lives and works there, and could also be a student, or not. They hit it off, maybe learn something about themselves, and it's all very feel-good.
