One reason why I did not write prequel story elements out as I give people freedom explore and write what chars they want to play in setting and then I work how their chars wound up together and get mixed a intrigue based story.

I wouldn't want to disrupt the continuity but I am interested in playing a human that isn't xenophobic. Whilst I know of the dead city and how it has  changed, there aren't many people that would be adventurers from that place. The idea I had in place is a wizard or other kind of arcane spell caster that prefers to research Incarum or said words of power in order to obtain a better understanding of it. I need some form of elaboration on what my options are for that before I proceed.

It toke her full month to fullfill the mission, but she managed to pull it off, pretending to be an servant.

As she returned home, she found her father dead. There had been an combat, but only her fathers corpse was to be found. Left as an sign, his head decapitated and his sword stolen.
Kumiko swore vengeance and went to work. She gathered information, tracked informants, bribed and killed, to finally, nearly three years later, she found the man, who had ordered the death of her father.
She planned his demise and executed it. First Kumiko stole back her fathers sword, then one by one, butchered members of his targets household and family, until the man was mad of grief and terror. Then, after an year of slaying, she revealed herself to her prey and they fought.

What Kumiko did not know, was that the man was connected. After she had won him and burned down his estate, she found herself hunted by the lords associates and was forced to flee the lands.

Now, as she have fled over an year, into the lands beyond the great Scorchward, she had made name of herself as part of an Adventurer's guild, raising to become Golden Member.

Adventurer's guild

When Kumiko first met the adventurers of the Guild, she was an girl-child, nothing more in their eyes, even she had been training from childhood. She seeked membership of any organization that might shelter her from those that were seeking her and adventurers being an open and variable bunch, she fit right in.

Her initiation 'trial' was to go and help one baker, with his rat problem. It was sopesed to be an joke on her behalf, but as she went in, literally butcherd the rats and seeked out their gigantic mother rat and brought it to the bounty table, it pulled no laughs out from the senior adventurers, as they noticed that the rat mother had been quite formidable dire rat.

Overseer Belakin granted her the Iron rank, and promissed Kumiko for more lucrative opportunities... Which came in form of an diplomatic mission. Something Kumiko was not best suited for, yet it opened her eyes to the etiquette side of adventuring. Overseer himself, hired her to be his companion, as he met with his own rival as their both were seeking an audience with local baron. The event toke place in an ball, and Kumiko was dressed in finery for the first time in her life, taught the local customs and what was wanted from an lady. To be honest, she faield miserably on the last part. During the ball, overseer was talking with the Baron's senechal and the rival, Overseer Turchi, went to riduculating her and making nasty remarks about her, Kumiko told the obnoxious Turchi to keep his mouth shut, or it might open up an bit more.. like from ear to ear.
Turchi did not take that layingdown from an mere youngling, but tried to slap her. Kumiko was anticipating that and sidestepped him and quicker that an eye, slashed his belt, making him drop his pants infront of everyone. He pulled his pants up and pulled an dagger, when barons guards invened and threw him and his retinue out from the ball.  Overseek Belakin got his audience, Kumiko got paid, Belakin was happy and Kumiko got an fierce enemy.

Kumikos second Iron Trial was to team up with guild arcanist Haragi, and act as meatshield should the arcanist need help on her studies of an ruined tower. There was need of Kumikos sword, as first they encountered traps and natural hazards, but at the very bottom of the ruined tower, there was an monster. Some sort of energy chains kept the beast in the room, where the arcanist found her presious tome to be in.
From the door, Haragi casted her magics, trying to slay the beast wiht bolt of lighting, but it made the beast angry and as it bolted at them, Kumiko activated her Jutsu, turning invisible and jumped on top of hte beast, sinking her sword into its back, slaying it on its tracks on midair, only an fractions of an second before it was about to rip Haragi into shreds.

Haragi found her tome, Kumiko got paid and the end... but no.

After few weeks, Haragi came and hired Kumiko again, as her swordmaid. This time, to seek the hidden valley of giants. Something Haragi had found from the tome they gathered.

Not only was the valley in faraway place, it was going to be dangerous. Kumiko remembered her starting trials and mentioned Haragi to hire an full group of adventurers, which she did and now, armed with swords, spells and healing arts, the group of four went to their mission. Haragi was the leader, Kumiko her trusted girl and new faces, Rigbix, elven kinght and Juma-Wal-Ki, Black human from some jungle far south, with hands of an healer.

On the quest of the lost valley, they encountered group of hill giants who were living in the forgotten ruins that were guarding the entrance. They were not even aware of it. Rigbix talked with them, and managed to use his words as an sword and shield, making the giants give them an free pass, out of fear or respect.
In the long winding underground tunnel, Haragi hurt herself, when one of the pillars was about to crumble and she didnt manage to get out from under it in time. Juma used hi dark magics to pull the wounds off from her and they went on.

At the valley, they found an fountain that was guarded by an living statue. Something Kumiko found to hate. Following combat, Kumiko was ready kill it, but even she made her best neck slices and stabs to its heart, it just did not matter. Haragis spells were mostly ineffective, but Rigbix and his steadfast armor prevailed. They all got bruises and deep gashes from the guardian statue, but without Juma, they would all have met their end. After the statue was won, Haragi made her divinations and told everyone that it had been an golem. Magical beast made to guard great treasures, art lost from the world as it was. The valley itself was nice secret place, but the real treasure was the fountain. It contained magical waters, which healed from wounds.

As they left the place, Rigbix told the hillgiants to move in, and guard that ancient place of their kind. Juma told the giants about the healing fountain and the groups departed with friendly terms.

As the group made its way back, they were ambushed by shadowy beast. It slew Juma where he stod, and was about to assault rest of them, but Haragi managed to get an dweomer out, and made all of them faster that mortally possible. Rigbix drew his magic sword, sinking it at the stomach of the beast, only causing minor wounds, but Kumiko knew that the beast was nothing but an man under an spell, she stepped behing it, slashed its back, causing the spell to fizzle and sword to connect and sever his backbone. Second strike was to his throat, making his crimson blood spill over Rigbix, as he was sinking his sword at the mans face this time. Fight was over, before it really begun, leaving Juma decapitated and the shadowy assassin slain.

The group used their inhuman speed to flee the scene, if there were more of them, Rigbix carrying Jumas corpse. Haragi casted spells to hide their escape and it seemed that noone was following them.

When they returned to the guildhouse and to Overseer Belakin, Haragi told what had happened, Belakin granted Rigbix and Kumiko both an rank, and Juma was burried with festives, as it was his peoples way.

Haragi left to continue her studies, Rigbix said goodbyes and told that he's making an trip to his old homeland, as he had some unfinished business there. Kumiko, again alone, but thistime, member of an powerful organization, was waitting an change to do the same. To visit home at somepoint.

Like tomes and books which raise stat permanently? Sure. But if speaking custom items which raise stat by +1 than +2, then need do math on them but could work as well.

Char looks good, although Jade Dragon Empire is at most heavily psionic society (so check would psychic spellthief stuff be interesting to pick) and second most citizens are xephs (psionic race). Not saying human subjects would be impossible but they would stand out or be rare sight. Alternatively there is 'secret shinobi house' already in setting; one forgotten houses which originally made part of 8 houses but to be part of said house you must have undergone transformation into a elan (and be thus a secret agent to said house).

But then again Asanji could be loyal house to six ruling houses or to council and your family got caught in between house internal shadowy political war and you struck out your well connected enemy and thus became wanted criminal (as you did unsanctioned hunt on the guy).

Biography
Born a common street cat in the city-state of the goddess Hathor in the nation of Asgard, Miut's early life was as one might expect of a cat growing up in a culture that strongly venerates animals.  Food and shelter were never issues for her, though she was never quite pampered, either.  While unusually intelligent and unusually long-lived for a cat, there were no real outward signs of her true nature, and said true nature would only eventually show itself when she was well into her teens, during the week-long Festival of the Burning Heart that the goddess of the city held each year.

I can help in char gen if needed if your already familiar with 3.5 books and stuff you want (can double check stuff for you from my collection).

Also note for everyone (and more so Laughing Hyena), you can do multiple applications! Of course when I do picks I hope the applications you made are all ones you want truly play with and have interest on it (and not just build for sake of building them).

Are they all Xeph/Elan in Jade Dragon Empire? I got the impression that only the upper echallon of the society was.

And Kumiko IS actually an hunted by the friends of her target. (reason why she's <here> where ever <here> is).. and I was thinking her mentor/father to raising her outside the "convinient" ways... Or if there is more suitable place in the world (for human ninja) then she could be from there .

Well, Jade Dragon Empire is Xeph's homeland. But immigration is a thing as is adoption.

But if speak more normal shinobi setting for humans, Karmandu would be the other place. But then again this is custom setting so you can create your homeland. It could be part of Hundred Kingdom region (as name implies it's generic region where anything smaller nations/kingdoms and custom stuff can fitted in).

Well, besides Zandarian and Trisan Empire (Hundred Kingdoms), there is Calandor kingdom which has super high moral values despite race and in general are good guys. However Order of Illumination takes the lawful good does always not mean lawful nice vs evil stance (ready burn entire villages to eradicate demonic infestation).

Also other kingdoms; Silverlake County (perhaps humble origins but you could had joined adventuring guild / guild academy learn magic or gone and joined Order of Arcane who teaches globally magical arts while their HQ is on Atlenta). Ofc you can also come from Atlenta as there is healthy population of varied races (and humans) in there besides spellscales which are 90% Atlenta ancestry and origin. So there are non-xenophobic human societies and means to join and study magic and arts of true speech and incarnum.

Guild as organization is massive and so are adventuring guilds as adventuring guilds despite high risk have also high reward system and gives window of opportunity to learn more in field if your less academic minded mage (a former human adventurer or elf or whatever mentored a human from Silverlake County as apprentice in twilight years and then with his recommendation joined adventuring guild and then learned magic on field than through study in Guild's academy or Order of Arcane).

Ok I have after speaking with Zaer and reading through this morning all the offered information have changed my mind from a goblin thief and instead have decide to go with the following.   I have done up her background and will soon (later today when get home do up her character sheet.)





Name: Sasha
Race: Alluran Lustbound
Class: Sorceress 9th
Description: Sasha is sensual provocative female.  Every gesture move oozes sensuality due to her Alluran heritage.  Her hair is long with large wavy curls and is a silky lavender color.  While her eyes are a bright violet hue.  She is curvaceous with a well endowed figure.  She also bares the mark of a thousand small barely visible white scars upon her back and derriere.  A tell that speaks of a great travail of a nightmare that has shaped her into what she is today.

Biography:
  Sasha has the internal spark of wellspring of magic within herself.  Born in the city of sin.  In her youthful days as a young adult.  She like any other Alluran would float from one partner to the next.  With a wanderlust towards adventure.  Often joining parties for one adventure or another.  Taking lovers within the party.   

Incredibly erotic beautiful creature with a promiscuous nature.  Would lead Sasha to be noticed by a nefarious wizard a archmage Tesseron.  At a level of power of the 5th rank at the time in her sorceress skills.  She was no match for this supremely powerful archmage.   Who in his megalomania set up a fiefdom in the nine hells in the 6th level of hell. She is but 69 years old at the time taken down to the nine levels of hell.  For the next one hundred years,  as she is first made to be part of his harem as a concubine.   She is brutally used on a daily basis every hour of the cycle of a day.   Whipped and flayed open on her backside over 10,000 times.   For both disobedience given and for perceived such.  It broke her, turning her into one of the lustbound.

It is at the ninth level of sorceress power that what no longer is dream or sought comes, her freedom from the archmage.  For the archmage Tesseron in his glutton need to acquire power.   Led his hellish kingdom in challenging the arch duke of hell Amosedus.   In a great battle in the nine hells,  the arch duke would slay the ursurper.  The powerful magics that held the archmage's kingdom together would falter and unbind the dark magic that had bound both material things and those bound to him as slaves.

Those bound to him are thrust from the nine hells.   The powerful magic is chaotic and in such Sasha is thrust to the land topside in Garthalla.   Shattered broken lustbound with now a desperate need to be bound to a master.   As his slave or a powerful mage as his familiar.   

Other Notes:
As you have read the background of Sasha.   I am in need in recruiting a master or mistress for the Alluran sorceress.  This can be as a master/slave relationship with most any class or race, male or female.  Or it also can be as a familiar to those of the arcane arts.   Besides being a sex toy,  she is also a excellent follower that can be a useful bodyguard for her master/mistress.

Kimera's concept have talked long while already and so approved. What comes to Alluran's they both are okay to me albeit I plan adjust healer class (in weekend). I create variant which is about light/purity and other about darkness/impurity (and thus explain why there can be slutty healers and non-slutty kind as unicorns respond/respect only virgins as riding partners while dark unicorns are reverse).

Just only slight adjustment for Sasha's background; in Garthalla all planes are one and same. There is no different planes at all (hell actually resides deep underground in Garthalla). So thrown out from hell can work fine but instead 'home world' Sasha did not return 'home land'. Albeit Alluran's case they do not have country or nation of their own (but they may have home country based on place of birth).

Done  changed it to read taken down and gave her birthplace as from the city of sin and when the archmage is killed she is thrust back to the land topside of Garthalla where thou I figure can be worked out in game as it starts.

Fourth, if material from the Book of Exalted Deeds isn’t allowed, does that include the Words of Creation feat?  I can fit in Lingering Song instead, if that’s the case.

And finally, to help make myself a little more Charisma-focused, I’m hoping to take a feat called Dynamic Priest that would make my spells per day and max spell level be based off of Charisma instead of Wisdom.  It’s from a Dragonlance book, meaning it’s third-party material, but it’s officially licensed third-party material, so I’m hoping it will be alright.  If it isn’t, I can take Serenity and make myself Wisdom-focused, instead.

I say flaws granted feats can be taken on any level. You may have born with bad aim or partial blindness but only later got some benefit from it (or this case free feat). No feat retraining during chargen (learn craft feat and then unlearn it).

Mystic Fire Paladins would likely be associated with Order of Arcane or magic focused deity, if your chosen deity is not magic focused then it would not fly.

Sword of Celestia allows upgrade the magic item with the half cost on materials so it works as 'crafting' for discount in raising weapon properties up magically like crafting feat (same applies to all, like Kensai example).

All material from Exalted Deeds and Vile Darkness is banned, so no Words of Creation.

Alright, I can work with those rulings. ^^ For the Healer, I'll note that one common houserule I've seen is to turn them into spontaneous full-list casters, ala the Beguiler, Dread Necromancer and Warmage.  Their spell list is limited enough that it works pretty well for them.

Also, just on the off chance that we wind up with two or more Allurans and nobody interested in playing master to them...

Well since landforged walker doesn't progress animal companion, there's a druid lternate class feature that lets you have a familiar instead. So that could also be an option for those interested if anyone wants to be the pet of a plant morphing robot :P

Description: Sasha is sensual provocative female.  Every gesture move oozes sensuality due to her Alluran heritage.  Her hair is long with large wavy curls and is a silky lavender color.  While her eyes are a bright violet hue.  She is curvaceous with a well endowed figure.  She also bares the mark of a thousand small barely visible white scars upon her back and derriere.  A tell that speaks of a great travail of a nightmare that has shaped her into what she is today.

Biography:
  Sasha has the internal spark of wellspring of magic within herself.  Born in the city of sin.  In her youthful days as a young adult.  She like any other Alluran would float from one partner to the next.  With a wanderlust towards adventure.  Often joining parties for one adventure or another.  Taking lovers within the party.   

Incredibly erotic beautiful creature with a promiscuous nature.  Would lead Sasha to be noticed by a nefarious wizard a archmage Tesseron.  At a level of power of the 5th rank at the time in her sorceress skills.  She was no match for this supremely powerful archmage.   Who in his megalomania set up a fiefdom in the nine hells in the 6th level of hell. She is but 69 years old at the time taken down to the nine levels of hell.  For the next one hundred years,  as she is first made to be part of his harem as a concubine.   She is brutally used on a daily basis every hour of the cycle of a day.   Whipped and flayed open on her backside over 10,000 times.   For both disobedience given and for perceived such.  It broke her, turning her into one of the lustbound.

With no hope,  no will to want to escape.  The need from the now constant arousal that burned in her.  The future for Sasha now seem set as her fate.  Still her innate wellspring of magic continue to grow.   Her sorceress levels continued to grow stronger as she in those hundred years rose to the 9th level of ability.

It is at the ninth level of sorceress power that what no longer is dream or sought comes, her freedom from the archmage.  For the archmage Tesseron in his glutton need to acquire power.   Led his hellish kingdom in challenging the arch duke of hell Amosedus.   In a great battle in the nine hells,  the arch duke would slay the ursurper.  The powerful magics that held the archmage's kingdom together would falter and unbind the dark magic that had bound both material things and those bound to him as slaves.

Those bound to him are thrust from the nine hells.   The powerful magic is chaotic and in such Sasha is thrust to the land topside in Garthalla.   Shattered broken lustbound with now a desperate need to be bound to a master.   As his slave or a powerful mage as his familiar.   

Other Notes:
As you have read the background of Sasha.   I am in need in recruiting a master or mistress for the Alluran sorceress.  This can be as a master/slave relationship with most any class or race, male or female.  Or it also can be as a familiar to those of the arcane arts.   Besides being a sex toy,  she is also a excellent follower that can be a useful bodyguard for her master/mistress.
